    Border Grill Sandwich
    Estela V.

My mom and I needed a quick meal after shopping for groceries and we decided to try this restaurant. It's a cute deli with a few different items to choose from salads, to side dishes and even bagged nuts & chocolate. I ordered the Border Grill Sandwich with chicken. The sandwich had bell peppers, onion, avocado and topped with cheese. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the roll it was on was soft and delicious. The sandwich was good, fairly simple and on the side I chose the American Potato Salad. I thought the potato salad needed a sweet flavor but, overall it was good. My mom ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich on Squaw bread and she said it was a little bland for her taste. On the side she ordered the Rotel noodle salad which she really liked. We probably wouldn't go out of our way to eat here again but, it's worth a try!

Stopped by here since I was working in the area. I was here on a Friday afternoon and they had a guy in the parking lot making flat iron steak sandwiches. I wanted something lighter and got a sandwich with bean sprouts, avocado and cucumber. It was a decent sandwich and I wished I had asked for the bread to be toasted. I ordered at the deli, paid at the counter and my order was ready shortly after. I also ordered the potato salad and should've just ordered that on its own because it's filling and super tasty. I'd go back for a quality sandwich if I was in the area.

Great little spot that has been around for ever for a quick sandwich and a bite to eat. You order at the counter, and you can either go with their menu or create your own. Quick and easy and really fresh!

I think this place would probably be good if I got Covid again and lost my taste buds. Otherwise, subway is about a 3 min drive away. This place is overhyped and overpriced. $15.59 for a turkey sandwich that tastes the same as one I could've made at home with expired ingredients from Aldi doesn't make sense to me. The customer service is 1/2 star if Yelp allowed it. They have "pay here" "order here" and "pickup here" signs, but I'm not sure why since they don't use them? Forget this place if you're in a rush for pickup because it seems no one wants to take orders or acknowledge the customers they're ripping off. You're at the mercy of hoping someone notices you've been standing there for 10-15 mins even on an empty day to ask for your to go order. But I'm thinking since the sandwiches are so small maybe they lose the food right after they make it, so who knows? Portion sizes are a joke. Turkey sandwich was the size of a small female hand palm and could be eaten in 4 bites. For $16 I expect to at least feel somewhat full. I hope I didn't accidentally order a kids meal?! $16 in nyc gets you 3 BEC and a smile, and that's saying a lot for New York..... This place gives a bad name to supporting local. I will be going to subway next time.

Ordered for pickup, friendly staff and huge breakfast burrito for the price. Good option if you live in the area and you're in the mood for a BB. I got the beast (variety of meats). Salsa is middington but actual burrito is solid.

I love this place. The staff works hard and is super cool with taking your order, ringing you up, and calling you up for your order. I've been here countless times since we moved to the area, and the quality of their food never waivers. My roommates and I have had their bbq, burgers, pastrami sandwiches, and tuna melts, and I've never been disappointed. Their sides and pastries are amazing, and the ranch is house made if you want to get that for your fries. Ambiance is your choice! You can chill in the dark recesses of the tables and grub or chat in secrecy. Whisper if you must. Of you can enjoy the warmth of the sun and get some vitamin D. It's nice to hang outside with friends and enjoy the sun and breeze. They'll have the bbq going out to offer specials of the day, and they haven't missed there yet either. Enjoy this Claremont gem!

I've lived here for so long and never knew about Wolfes! I always see it on foothill but I always assumed the whole building was the Meat Cellar (a fancy restaurant that I never cared to try) But I came here for a work lunch and I'm so glad I know about Wolfes now. The staff is so friendly! And the food is yummy! I'm a big sandwich person and love a good sandwich! This will definitely be a place I frequent now. They have so many options and everything is so good! I'm excited to go back and try their breakfast burritos!

Ridiculously yummy!…read more Been here several times for their loaves of bread, scones, and cookies! For the bread, I've been enjoying their cinnamon raisin recently, but they are known for their different sourdoughs! Rosemary sourdough is a good one, but the cheddar sourdough has been pretty great with some garlic butter! You can also request the loaves to be sliced! For their scones, these are not your regular scones. They're as soft as a cookie, but there is still some density to it where a cup of coffee or tea would be a great addition. It's a pretty substantial scone, and I'm pretty full with just that and a drink. Chocolate scone has been my go-to. For cookies, the golden raisin oatmeal one is probably our favorite, followed by the snickerdoodle! Staff has been nice and accommodating! No issues here. Very clean store! It's a very popular bakery, and they can run out of goods before midday. Highly recommend to get here early. Plenty of spaces in the parking lot during the weekend, typically!

Fortunately (or unfortunately?), my facial gal is in the same center as this place, so it's easy to slide on over when I'm done, but I can never seem to decide on just one loaf, and usually leave with 2-3. I've had Roasted Garlic, Rosemary Lemon, Jalapeno Jack, Apricot Pecan, Cranberry Jalapeno, and probably a few more that I'm forgetting right now. They were all very yummy and freeze well. For the best selection, make sure you come early, as they tend to sell out quickly.

If you're looking for that rich deep orange yolk, you'll likely find it here. I find that their eggs do not always have that deep orange yolk, but it often does! I finally tried their Ugleez ($12.50/30 eggs) and besides being "ugly" and much lighter in color on the outside, they were delicious and had the perfect orange yolk! See my photos for comparison with their Jumbo ($12/20 eggs). It's a steal to get the Ugleez if you aren't looking for a massively huge egg and still want that farm fresh quality!

I came to this drive-through farm instead of Maust Farms across the street, and there are…read moredefinitely pros and cons to both. This location is convenient and accessible because it's a drive-through, although traffic can get backed up. The eggs are also more expensive than the ones across the street, and in reality, I really couldn't tell which ones were better. I know some people are sticklers about eggs, but I honestly couldn't see much of a difference between the blue eggs I got from Maust Farms and the brown eggs from here. My biggest issue with this place was the amount of fecal matter on the eggs. That wasn't exactly appetizing, especially compared with the eggs across the street, which were much cleaner. I know farm-fresh eggs aren't always going to look perfectly clean, but for what I paid, I expected them to be cleaner. I originally thought you weren't really supposed to wash farm-fresh eggs with water, but when there's visible fecal matter on the shells, obviously you want to clean them before using them. I later learned that you can buy an enzymatic egg wash specifically made for cleaning fresh eggs and that the water should be warmer rather than cold when washing. Using cold water can cause the contents of the egg to contract and potentially draw contaminants through the porous shell. So if you're coming to this location, I would recommend knowing how to properly clean and store farm-fresh eggs, especially if yours are as dirty as some of mine were. The people here were very nice, and the drive-through is definitely convenient. However, between the higher price and how dirty the eggs were, I'll most likely go across the street next time.

I had a wonderful phone conversation with the owner Ben who personally took my order. We agreed upon a date and time two weeks out since I was going to be out of town for the 4th of July week. They called while I was out of town to confirm the date and time (between 10-11 am) which was great! When I arrived to the store with my son around 11:15 because of the heavy traffic on 91W I went to the counter and was told by a young female that I needed to go to the pay counter. She was curt and not helpful. There was only three people ahead of me so no problem. But the elder gentleman in front of me, who was being helped by the young man who would eventually help me, took an exceptionally long time with his order. I'm just here to pay and pick up. No problem, I'll be patient and keep waiting. Two other costumers are helped by the female counter person and finally the elder customer leaves with his order and I'm next. The young male counter person then waits for me to initiate the conversation and doesn't greet me with a smile or hello or how can I help. I brush it off. I tell him I'm here to pick up my order, a whole pig and give him my last name. He fumbles around a few seconds and then asks how to spell my name and eventually finds my ticket order and asks what time. The time is written at the top of the ticket he failed to notice. I pay for the order. He mutters someone will be out with my order and disappears. No thank you, no attentiveness like he gave the older gentleman in front of me. Again, I've been in my car with my son for over two hours from San Diego in traffic and this fella couldn't give me five minutes of courtesy. I'm waiting, and waiting and waiting while others eventually come into the store and are being helped and leaving. The older female worker at the pay counter is still there helping customers while the younger female at the deli counter is now apparently on a break and making herself lunch. She stops momentarily when a customer comes in for deli service. I'm still waiting by the counter to make sure I'm at least acknowledged but I don't see the young male counter worker who apparently left for lunch since it's now noon. The older female worker can probably see on my face that I'm not happy and says to me he's working on my order. He? Who's he? I am just here to pay and pick order between 10-11. How much time and trouble could it be to put this order together which was made two weeks prior? A different gentlemen finally arrives with three boxes and two large paper bags that comprise my order. On the way out the older female worker says goodbye and was very courteous. At this point I'm pretty upset because this is not a large haul and this order could've easily been second and not 45 minutes! I arrive home after the two hour drive back home to SD and looking forward to the meat, especially the sausages and putting it into the freezer which I cleared out in preparation for the meat. My older son is home to help. As we are sorting and placing the meat I notice that there are no sausages. It's just sausage meat but no links. I guess it's my fault for assuming and not specifying sausage links on at peat some of the order. It was a huge letdown. I had array went out to purchase rolls and buns for a bbq this weekend and to have friends and family over. Oh well. You live and you learn. At least the bacon was great.
