Again, in my search for the best place to have lunch and dine, I came across Alibaba Kabob House. I quickly found a dish on Yelp that I wanted to have for lunch. I called and ordered for dine in, and they told me 15 minutes. I headed out to the restaurant. Parking is on the side, so keep that in mind. I entered the place and let them know I was there for my dine in order. The place was quiet, clean, and neat. The food arrived at my table in no time, about 2 to 3 minutes. It was pleasant to see the effort the crew put into delivering such a nice presentation, from the water bottle to the shish kabobs and the chutney sauces. I loved the combination of flavors from the rice and meat together. I added the chutney sauces, both the green and red, which elevated the flavor to the next level. In case you do not like sauces, you will still enjoy the awesome flavor of the rice and the juicy meat from the shish kabob. The price is absolutely on point with the portion size, flavor, and presentation. I would recommend Alibaba Kabob House for a nice quiet family dinner. They also offer more options with chicken and lamb. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience with great food, excellent presentation, and flavors that make me want to come back and try more of the menu. read more

My family discovered this Jem a while ago. The food, service and price were all wonderful. Mina, the owner, cook, waiter did an amazing job. Unfortunately she sold the restaurant. The menu is the same. The taste is good. The service needs improvements. We had to reach to another table to get the utensils and napkins. We were not provided appetizer plates. After the meal was served we did not see a staff member until they brought the check. No dessert offered. We yelled goodbye but no one came out. When we left the restaurant the outside felt cooler and fresh; the restaurant didn't have the AC on. The food was good. The rice tasted good but it didn't taste like it just came out of a pot. The side salad was cheap lettuce; no cucumber or tomatoes or salad dressing. I sincerely hope they improve their service or they will loose all the former clients. First time we ate here was last July and we were so impressed with the food and service - so much time had passed before we realized we hadn't been back! We decided to come here for dinner last night and take my siblings to try as they have never had Afghan food and were met with the best standard that I'm sure they will compare every other place to moving forward. We craved it again today and went back for more after church lol. This review is long overdue and Alibaba Kabob House will 100% be a place we will frequent to. Ali provided great service both times he has helped and Minna has always met us with kindness when checking to make sure all is good. Her food is made with so much love and you can taste it in every bite - honestly the best Afghan food I've had. So flavorful and meats are cooked so perfectly - chicken made juicy, steak super tender, and we love that we get so stuffed but the food tastes so clean we never have felt heavy or disgusting after. The Mantu is just *chefs kiss* SOO GOOD. I want to go back and try other things on their menu. This spot is truly a gem and as much as I want to be sure they continue to get more business, selfishly I want this to be a secret gem that only us locals know about lol. My first time here and I order Lamp Chops with season rice, I also added an appetizer of Dolmas which was a first. It was pretty tasty , had a little spice to it but it was good. My lamp was very good! My cousins had chicken kebab and lamp kebabs. The Owner came out to greet us and to explained the menu, she gave us recommendations on what to order. Met with my family here. The parking lot is really small so when its busy you might have to park in the second lot down the way. This place was so busy when we went so I figured the food was going to be good as it seemed a lot of people were regulars in there. The interior is a little more quaint and dim lighting like older restaurants so I liked it. I got the shami kabob and the Mantu. The food was really good super flavorful and the Mantu was perfect. The only reason I gave 4 starts was because they kept forgetting things I asked for because of all the familiars that kept talking to them and they were constantly distracted. They were nice to us but I just felt like maybe we should of came on a different day or ordered the food to go. Either way I would still recommend the food. read more

Tried them for the first time today. I haven't had Kabobs this good in a long time! I ordered the combo plate and my wife had the Chicken Gyro. We finally were able to try this place! We did takeout and my pictures really don't do it justice. Overall, the food is very good I would say 4.5 in taste. Mantu was excellent and their dish is now one of my favorites I have had at any Afghanistan restaurant! 5 stars! Very soft and tender inside and just melts in your mouth. Dolmas- grape leaves filled with rice ( Idk what else). This particular one was a little hard and dry inside. It was ok- I like it to be moist with moist soft rice not dry. 3 stars here- still decent, but could improve. Chapli kabob- very good and moist and tender. Many times these are dry to overcooking bc thin. This was very good and one of the better kabobs anywhere and a bit more thicker than the usual thin chapli kabobs I have had. More like a juicy hamburger patty with good spices. I liked it! 4.5 stars. It came with seasoned rice as opposed to white rice which they also offer. I don't know what exactly is the seasoning( sumac?) that makes it brown but it was so good! The rice was moist and tender. So get the seasoned rice since you can get white rice anytime, so get a better tasting rice with rich flavor( like lamb or beef broth maybe used?). It also came with a square of Afghani bread. My daughter wanted chicken kebobs. Solid and good. Only thing was I think it only had 6 chunks( is that considered 2 skewers worth?). I wish it came with like 2 more chunks! 4 stars in taste for this- good but a bit bland as I would use more spices and sprinkle more sumac on top. I can't wait to try this place again and expand my selections! This is a solid and tasty place and I want this to be a successful restaurant in the area! I got a suggestion email from Yelp & it had this restaurant listed, so I checked out the menu & my husband & I went the same day! I'm not sure what restaurant was here before, but the decor kind of reminded us of an older Italian restaurant. There's a nice bar area, but no liquor, so I'm not sure if they're trying to get their license still. It's still their grand opening, so I'm sure there's a whole lot they're working on. But despite that, their service & food was delicious! I ordered some green tea while we waited for our order of bolani, & it had different herbs & spices in it that made it even more delicious. We were also given complimentary side salads, along with some hummus & warm pita bread. The house made mint yogurt dip was addicting, & we put it on everything -- not just the bolani it came with! For our main course, we both ordered the vegetarian kebabs, which came with basmati rice and afghan naan. The mushrooms, zucchini, onions, bell peppers, & tomatoes had lots of seasoning & were absolutely tasty! The staff was very kind & attentive, checking in regularly, & of course giving us lots of complimentary dishes. We drove to the restaurant because we couldn't reach them over the phone for takeout. Tye staff was very friendly and helpful, explained all the dishes and what was in them- Worth the wait, we ordered beef tikka kebab, shish kebab, bolani, samosa, extra nan and mantu. Food and service were great. Had an old homey type of feel to the place. Walked in and felt welcomed by the staff. Ali was our server and was personable and helpful guiding us through the menu as first timers. Tried as much as we could stomach and really liked it all. From the lamb and beef kababs to pulao(my personal favorite) everything was seasoned incredibly well and not overwhelming at all. Rice was fluffy and cooked to perfection. Meats were seasoned and charred from the grill and super tender! The chef(Ali's mother) came out to greet us and check on us a couple times bringing out extra chutney and yogurt. Great first time experience. I ordered the Doogh drink, because I was curious. She warned me it was a yogurt drink, and loved it. Order it if you too love salted yogurt with cucumbers served with ice. I also ordered the Mantu dish. This has got to be the best appetizer. It's perfect. It has beef inside, and topped with this yummy red sauce. I meant to save some for later, but I couldn't. I also ordered the 2 combo kabob skewer (Pick any two kabobs). I ordered the chicken and the lamb. It must have been my lucky day because It was served with two kinds of rice (see my photo). This dish also came with two garlic chutneys, so delish I drenched my lamb and chicken in it. The meats themselves were already seasoned, so if you prefer less garlic don't use the sauces. My husband saw this place on tiktok and suggested we give it a try. We love afghan food. It's a nice clean restaurant. Meena and Ali were super sweet. They are so friendly and such sweethearts. Upset the gyro wrap was too small! It was really good though as far as quality and flavor. I didn't get any fork or napkins either. For $16.33. Smaller length and width than my hand. Ate the salad with my hand. Also, 18 minutes to make at lunch when it wasn't busy, as far as I could see. Limited parking and interior is a little old fashioned. Sooooo, let's start of by how beautiful the inside of this place is. Must be an old Italian restaurant because it has old wood and it's immaculate. The menu is concise and the service is amazing. We ordered Mantu (the appetizer) Aush Soup, beef lamb gyro. The food was prepared in a timely manner but just long enough to know it was freshly made. Flavors upon flavors upon flavors. Each dish had distinct characteristics and sooo tasty! We ate EVERYTHING.
