Most recently (7/12/26) we were missing the side of pita (paid extra), and more often than not the side sauces are missing. It should not be that hard to read an order and filled accordingly. Is this my new chipotle?? Came for a late lunch on a Sunday after doing some shopping at Trader Joe's. My cousin and I were absolutely starving, and were pretty surprised that neither have us have ever had TKS before. We're bigger lovers of Mediterranean food, so we knew that this place would hit the spot. This is an order first then grab a seat restaurant. My cousin and I both settled on getting grains bowls. I chose a saffron base with chicken shawarma and all the fixings, while my cousin chose the same but with grilled chicken tenderloin. And of course, a side of fries to share. We easily found a table and settled in while we waited for our food to be prepared and our buzzer to alert us it was ready. And then holy heck, we came to realize that they had a self-serve sauce station. The sauces are freaking phenomenal! We went kinda crazy grabbing double servings of each one. But the cilantro yogurt, fire chili, and dill yogurt are all mandatory for your meal. Don't miss out on all the flavors! They're perfect for dipping fries in also, so there's that. Lol. So back to the bowls, wow were they yummy! They came out about 15 mins after we ordered. The mix of saffron rice with salad and the protein made this both a hearty and refreshing meal. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough protein to complement the serving of rice and salad, but that can easily be fixed by ordering an extra helping of your protein choice. Will definitely be doing that for next time! I would say, this is a casual place to get some really yummy food! It gives fast food vibes but not fast food quality. And they have great customer service! Highly recommend whether you're dining in, going for take-out, or using them for catering (which I have and is totally worth it!!) There are a lot of combinations that can be ordered here. Where it be a plate or a wrap, I always have a good meal at The Kebab Shop, full and thoroughly satisfied. Lots of parking in front and a very spacious restaurant with lots of tables inside. You walk in and order at the counter and then they bring you your order if you are dining- in. My husband ordered the hummus bowl with lamb (as his choice of protein) and I ordered the pick-your-own-bowl with brown rice and fries with carved chicken. I like the customizing of the toppings and condiments. You get one (1) free Kids bowl ($8) with an order of a bowl or sandwich. Pretty sweet deal and perfect for my kids to share. It's in a great central place in Concord that is not only super convenient, but a healthy and flavorful option to fulfill your cravings. I ALWAYS crave their lamb/beef gyro and their fries - especially with their unlimited (!!) garlic yogurt and cilantro jalapeño sauce!! I love to mix the two :) Service was amazing and since they saw I was sharing the gyro, they went ahead and cut it in half and wrapped them individually - so attentive to detail and it was really nice of them to do that. The one star is for lack of training. I frequent this location because it's the closest to my work which is in Pleasant Hill. I purposely schedule the pick up time so my food is close to ready upon arrival. During my last visit I received notification that my food was ready 15mins early. Why? Why are you making the food early? I spoke w/the manager at the time and he offered to make a fresh order but I declined. I simply wanted him to know this was not the first time it's happened. Some people only have a certain amount of time for lunch and every minute counts. For my visit today, I purposely left work early because I had a feeling they would do the same thing and they did. Even gave me the incorrect sauce. Employees - Especially during the lunch hour, please be mindful of when someone schedules their pick up time. There used to be a Jimmy John's here, but I'm glad to see they put in another restaurant. This is more of a chain style restaurant versus a mom and pop place. Ordering is a little confusing but you basically have three options and then have to customize between a bowl, wrap, fries/salad. I tried the kebab fries and kebab wrap. The kebab wrap was pretty good with a lot of freshness and flavor. The fries were nice and crispy but were not salted. The toppings on the fries could have used something more. I definitely wished I would have order the San Diego wrap since that would be a combo of both. The inside was really large with a lot of seating. We have been loyal customers forever and it was such a delight to see Roberto's friendly face with his positive vibes as always!
