I ordered the combo kabob plate (Yum!), and the portion size was huge - definitely enough food for 2 people. I highly recommend the chicken kabob with the rice. The tzatziki sauce tastes homemade and I enjoyed that as well. I can't say too much about the service but when I did receive my food, it was correct and well packaged. It was my first time trying their beef gyro (shawarma) wrap, and I really enjoyed it. The filling was well balanced, with a good amount of tender, flavorful beef shawarma complemented by fresh cucumbers and other veggies with a light coleslaw-style crunch. The wrap itself wasn't too thick, which made it pleasant to eat. Overall, the portion size was pretty satisfying, especially for the price point of around $12. The wait time wasn't long, and the restaurant's ambience is always pleasant and never overly crowded. While the beef shawarma was already flavorful on its own, I usually add extra tzatziki sauce along with their house-made red hot sauce, both of which were excellent. One of the most underrated spots in Concord! I love their food and they are so nice. They make a really good mint lemonade.

This little hidden gem is not to be missed. The food is delicious, fresh, and plentiful. The fries are some of the best I've had, as is the hummus. The meat is cooked perfectly and very flavorful. You are told when you order how long it will take to cook, which in my experience has been 10 to 15 minutes. Well worth the wait. read more

It was good but a little on salty side for me. We arrived in the evening no parking spots were left in the lot but after about 5 mins waiting someone left. When I walked in we were the only ones in the restaurant. It is in a strip mall with another restaurant next door they looked a little busy but not packed. We came to this restaurant after I got a massage in Concord. As soon as you walk in the door a voice will greet you automatically that comes from a robot. The dining room is very clean but not very attractive. I did not get a greeting from the owner when I first walked in which disappointed me. Maybe because it was 3:00 p.m. so they were tired. His wife is very nice and she serves the food. We both ordered chicken kabob plates for dinner. The chicken itself was very fresh and relatively tender. It's not as tender as a thigh but still pretty tender. The flavor is pretty basic. I thought the salad was too small. There was a very small amount of rice but it did come with half of a soft warm pita. It's only about $17 a dish which makes it a very good deal even though the portions are small but the meat portion is good. I did not like that it was served on a paper plate and the utensils were all plastic. That made it feel very cheap. That would have been fine for takeout but for dining was not appropriate. This would be a good place for takeout but definitely not for dine in. read more

1st timer and it was GOOD! We had the combination Gyros-they did not disappoint. I recommend getting EXTRA SAUCE, it's homemade and you will thank me! New on the menu is Turkish coffee. Again, it was my first time; deep and rich flavor, yummy! The downside is that we went when they first opened. We placed our order over the phone, to go, but still took a long time. Fresh pita, juicy meats, fluffy hummus-- hits all the notes. The chicken is particularly tangy & juicy. MINT LEMONADE: FINALLY a place that has Mediterranean-style mint lemonade, with the mint blended in! I've been looking for this forever. So refreshing & frothy; much punchier than regular lemonade. Is there anything better than a mom & pop kebab shop where they have Turkish music playing with Turkish coffee on the menu and the aroma of freshly made baklava? That was a rhetorical question, of course not. I knew the food was going to be good as soon as I walked in the door and saw two aunties holding down the fort. We got a combo platter which came with two types of grilled chicken, ground beef skewers, two falafels, rice and pita bread. It was a mountain of food for two people. Looking for a high-protein Greek meal? Then this is your spot. Everytime I go here, I get the chicken kebab plate. The food is plentiful and the price points are reasonable. They marinade the chicken in some sort of saffron seasoning that makes it so flavorful. The chicken pieces are approximately 1" by 1.5" in size. The interior of each piece is so juicy! They can make all the proteins in gyro form as well. If you are looking to save some carbs but get more protein, order the plates. The service here is excellent. Really good Middle Eastern food! The Combo Kebab plate had a ton of stuff on it and all 4 meats were quite flavorful and tasty and nicely cooked. The rice was nice too. The Combo (Shawarma) Gyros Wrap was also pretty big and very tasty with a thick fluffy pita and lots of meat in it. The sauces on the side had great flavors and complimented the food nicely. Wow. This is a very unassuming restaurant and off a busy road so easy to miss. This is some of the most flavorful Mediterranean food I've had in a while. All of the meats were incredibly well flavored. The rice was delicious and the sauces were excellent. And our toddlers ate. This is a BIG deal. Family run restaurant that has created a hidden gem. The quality of the food is great. And I don't remember finding the Mint Lemonade at any other place. If nothing else, that item is a must order. On Father's Day my family took me here. They made a small mistake by giving us a wrap instead of the plate (of the same item) we had ordered. They totally made it up by bringing out the plate in MINUTES - and telling us to keep the wrap. This was our second time there - and based on past, they don't make mistakes often. Obviously, if quality and customer service are important this is the place to go. On the otherhand, this does not offer romantic ambiance, and/or a live band in the background (at least not when I visited). This has simple tables set up for family style dining. While it is NOT fast food, we've never waited more than about 20 minutes for our dishes (and that was with other people ordering too). If I could give 6 stars I would. read more

It was hot today and didn't feel like cooking and wanted something different. Haven't had Greek in a while and checked GrubHub for something good. I came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I ordered a couple of their lamb and beef gyros and had it delivered. The price was great too! The size of the wrap was pretty big and they were definitely gracious with the meat. Great seasoning and very flavorful. Came on the side was tzatziki and a hot sauce that were delicious. The reason that I did not give it 5 stars is because it was very heavy on the meat and barely had any cucumbers and other fillings to balance all the flavors out. But don't skimp out on the meat :) definitely will order from here again and think overall for price and delicious taste, you can't go wrong! read more

This place is a gem. It's in small lot off Willow Pass Road near 2 other restaurants and a Salon. Tasty Mediterranean food with good portions, very friendly people - who I believe are the relatives of the owner, or maybe it's Sam himself. I'll make sure to ask next time. Also, if you love fruit smoothies - I go here a lot. Just a fair warning that their boba is not your typical boba, but is a jelly. Would love to see this place get more foot traffic read more

Sam's has officially become my Go-To gyro spot. I happened upon this spot last year when I passed by. It is located in the former "CharBird" restaurant- if you remember that spot, you know that business closing left a real void in this area for authentic cuisine. During the pandemic, I ordered Sam's via DoorDash a few times. The food was absolutely delicious. I generally order the Chicken Gyro. This plate has it all- buttery rice, wonderful chicken gyro with great seasoning and color, hummus, pita, an acidic cucumber salad and a side salad. I devour this entire plate in minutes. The portions are overly generous- almost 8 oz of chicken gyro (I track macronutrients for most meals so I did weigh this out!), nearly two cups of portioned rice, a portion of pita, and the hummus/salads. I also ordered a side of fries and baklava which were equally fresh and tasty. I've tried two other East Bay kebab/gyro spots and they just don't seem to do it right (check out my other reviews to see who those are). I also enjoy that the restaurant appears to be family-owned and the lady behind the counter handled the transaction and the cooking (liked knowing that the meat was heated and prepared fresh). The look/feel hasn't changed much since CharBird; however, just like with the predecessor restaurant, you are here to enjoy the great food foremost. I've dined in once and loved the quiet while I ate. DoorDash has also proven to deliver in less than 45 minutes so you're fine either route. Give this place a shot!
