I hesitate to write this review because I really want this local business to do well. I think they've only been open a month. And to be fair, i will try it again in 6 months. My friends were already seated when I got there and they had said the received a nice greeting. They got there at 5:15 and they don't reopen till 5:30. That was our mistake. When I got there, there were not a lot of people seated. After ordering we waited over an hour for our food. The server didn't update us as to when it would be out. We did order a large crepe type dish. I can't find it on the menu and we ate it before I got a Pic. It was very good! Filled with potatoes, i think. We started getting our food, but it came out a dish at a time. Long pauses between each dish. Friend #1 got gobi manchurian, aloo matar and butter naan. Friend #2 got butter chicken Friend #3 got chicken biryani and tandoori roti I got paneer biryani and garlic naan. Admittedly I don't eat spicy food. And Indian food, to me, is spicy. I like trying new places, and this one is down the street from me. The food was very good. All my frineds enjoyed everything (we shared). After we were done we asked the waiter if the AC being out had anything to do with the slow service. We came to understand that they only have one chef. I understand he was doing as many orders as he could. They were also getting doordash orders in. They are looking for a 2nd chef. I want to go back in 6 months to see if they are doing better. Bathrooms didn't have paper towels and floor in the restaurant was dirty. They are closed after lunch and it should be expected that someone clean and restock the bathrooms before opening for dinner.

    Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan

Ordered Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. The sauce was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. The chicken was a little on the overcooked/dry side unfortunately, but the staff seemed amenable to my constructive feedback, so I won't dock the review unless it's overcooked the next time I'm here. The Garlic Naan was absolutely perfect. Clearly, they are still refining their process, but I think it has potential to be a long time classic in the area, especially if they end up having a buffet for certain days/hours. I miss Indian buffets. The interior still has a little room for improvement, but it's clean. I'm not sure how experienced the staff is, but I suspect not everyone has a lot of experience working in a restaurant, so hopefully they can refine their process a bit to make for a truly classic and professional experience. I have high hopes for this place!

This is now my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. It's clean with a modern twist. The interior…read moredecor is bright and full of different colors on the walls along with portraits of traditional Indian culture. I came for lunch earlier today and enjoyed their buffet spread. The buffet is from 11am-3pm at $20 pp. the buffet bar is pretty small but does have the main items such as grilled tandoori chicken, butter chicken, chicken curry, biryanis, and a few other traditional Indian dishes. They do have a sauce bar with some salad and one dessert porridge. I will say, I wish they had goat curry (vindaloo) and some fried items like pakoora and samosas. For dessert, I do wish they had gulab jamun and jalebi as a standard. Most Indian buffets I've been to, carry these items. I tried most of everything and they were each good tasting. I'm a big fan of their tandoori chicken because it's freshly grilled and really tasty. I wasn't a big fan of their butter naan; their version of naan is more like a baked pita which threw me off. I'm used to the long traditional stone oven baked naan with burnet holes, etc. I also wish they served ice as normal rather than asking for it because the water is really like warm which was not pleasing. Overall, I really like this place. Their service is nice and very welcoming. For $20, this buffet is a steal. I'd love to actually come back for dinner and try other entrees. I'll be back!

The only issue we've run into both times is not all items are available from the menu during certain times. The Gobi Manchurian is great. We love the Chicken Tikka Masala. I think our family favorite is the Saag Paneer. Everything has a decent level of spice without being overbearing. We enjoy the overall experience and will definitely be back.

Hmmm...read the other reviews and I will have to pay more attention to the expiration dates! I did…read morenot see any cooked foods today when we went, but I did see some sweets in the case. I wish they had the cooked foods like the other reviews mentioned! What I do like here is the variety of Indian specific produce that I would use-like kudu, okra, etc. It seemed fresh for the most part-but there were some old looking produce like turnips. Fresh roti is a hit or miss-sometimes it looks fresh and sometimes you wonder(again I will check the expiration next time!). I know this is where I also get the stuffed parathas(frozen section-I like the daikon/muglia and also gobi/cauliflower)-good with plain yogurt to dip in and good for breakfasts and other meals too. Also good for a quick meal if you don't have time to cook(heats up on a cast iron pan) and great with hot chai. I stocked up on Indian groceries before the tariffs hit since many items are from India. Even the produce are from Mexico and LA area (we checked and asked). It is true to that not all things had a price label on the package or under the package-they scan it and it does automatically come up so they updated that system at least. I want to support a local store, but improvements can be made. Main thing is at least make it look clean and not cluttered. It is a fairly new building/store so should be easier to make it look clean which will go a long way. They even had Indian/Pakistani the real beds they use back home(woven kind which they use back home for beds and couches, sitting and for everything really-that is their main furniture). The one I saw was 280.00! Tip #1: I think if you buy over 100.00 worth of groceries(I stocked up on spices before the tariffs hit-they last pretty much forever as it is and don't go bad!), they will give you a 10% discount. Overall, I will give it a 3 star for being "okay" and like I said, I WANT to support local businesses so we have these options here, but there definitely can be improvements made which are simple to do if they follow the suggestions- label prices on the shelves at least if not on the item itself, and CLEAN the floors, organize so not so cluttered visually to appeal to all clientele, etc. I will update the rating if it improves. There are other stores in the area close by that are great(and I have given excellent reviews) and have the same kind of items,to not to be trying to improve on these important aspects as a business to be able to compete.

While they didn't have everything we wanted, they did mention that they are expanding and will have a restaurant. I did check the expiration dates on a ton of stuff that we bought and it was at least a year in the future (actually it was only two bags full). Check out was interesting as he explained the prices (especially the increased costs due to tariffs) and clearly explained the buy two get one free - which some other groceries sometimes forget at check out. Overall a very pleasant experience and a very nice Indian grocery store.

The rice was…read moreperfectly flavored with just the right hint of spice, and the chicken was ultra moist and tasty. The portion of rice was generous, though we found ourselves wishing for a few more pieces of chicken. In fact, I asked my husband for another bite and he told me "no, I want it"! The naan was also a standout! It had a unique sourdough-like tang that made it incredibly flavorful and a perfect pairing with our entrees. And the mango lassi? Sweet, thick, creamy--basically everything you'd want from a mango lassi. We ordered delivery, and while our meal arrived quickly and was well-assembled overall, the BOGO coupon code didn't work on DoorDash, and one of the bags had ripped by the time it reached us. For our curries, we tried the malai kofta and methi malai paneer. We ordered them mild, but they were still a bit outside my personal spice comfort zone (a "me" problem, not necessarily a "them" problem). That said, the gravies were definitely skillfully executed, with deep, well-developed flavors. Notably, neither was overly tomato-y, which is a common misstep at some other places. However, neither curry was as creamy as I personally prefer. If you like a balanced gravy that isn't too tomato-forward, isn't overly sweet, and isn't overly creamy, you'll likely love these curries! Overall, despite a couple of small personal preferences and nitpicks, this was an excellent meal, and I'm giving them a well-deserved 5 stars. Highly recommend and welcome to the neighborhood!
