I Love This Place! I have never been to their physical location, but my friends and I have ordered through skip the dishes plenty of times. Our order is always correct and always so good. I have tried multiple items on the menu, but my favorite has to be the tendoori chicken tikka masala wrap. I also appreciate that when they are sold out of something, it shows that on skip! This is extremely helpful because I've had times where I ordered food and had to keep changing my order because a restaurant was out of something. Alibaba Kebab has gotten a lot of Yelp love, so I was excited to try it out. I'm not sure whether it was an off night for the eatery, or if we just didn't order the right dishes, but I didn't feel like our experience didn't live up to the glowing reviews. We ordered delivery through Grubhub, and went with the dinner for two option, where you pick which curry, which kebab, and which dessert you'd like, and they also provide rice and naan. We got the roasted eggplant curry, the paneer tikka masala kebabs, and tapioca pudding for dessert. Since we also have a toddler who isn't eating adult-sized portions yet, we added on a 4-piece order of chicken samosas. We placed the order a few hours ahead of time, and thought we were all set for a delicious dinner. First, dinner ended up arriving about an hour late. From what I could tell, the delivery driver was on time to pick up the order, but it wasn't ready. We were hangry by the time we sat down to eat, but maybe all would be forgiven if the food was outstanding. It was all just all okay, with some mistakes. The four chicken samosas ended up being 1 chicken, 1 potato, and 2 beef. We had noted a nut allergy on the order, but the tapioca pudding was topped with sliced almonds--maybe desserts are pre-packed, but it would have at least been nice to get a heads up from Alibaba that we inadvertently ordered something with nuts. I ate the pudding since my husband's the one with the nut allergy and not me, and didn't feel like the nuts added anything. The naan breads were huge, but they were chewier than other naan I've had before, and not in a way I particularly enjoyed. We had some leftovers, but didn't think the portions were as gigantic as other Yelp reviews led me to think they would be. Though with dinner being so late, we were hungrier than we would have been if the order had arrived on time. Our leftovers would have amounted to just one more one-person meal, at most, if the person was only moderately hungry. Again, I wanted to love Alibaba, but I don't know what went wrong. Alibaba has good food at great prices. They're family deals are perfect to feed 4 people! I usually get the kebab and curry combo which comes with 2 chicken and 2 beef kebabs (well portioned but I think they put too much coloring on the beef) and a choice of curry (we usually get goat curry which is yummy), tandoori chicken tikka, and 4 tandoori naans which are delicious. Their green chili sauce is also really nice and spicy. If you want some filling food I'd recommend trying this place out! Can't beat the prices! One thing that did turn me off about this place when I visited a year ago, the woman who works behind the counter was yelling very loudly to her fellow coworkers. Very impressed with this place. I ordered the kebob and curry combo, and it's a ton of food. The combo will easily last both me and wife multiple meals for under $30 after tax. My Indian wife made clear that the butter chicken is not "real" butter chicken, but we both agreed that the flavor was totally on point, so who really cares. I actually enjoyed the fact that the chicken was shredded. As mentioned in another review, the beef kebob did have some non-meat filler, but again, the flavor was there so I'm not gonna complain. And there was still plenty of meat in the combo for the price. The restaurant isn't located in the best neighborhood, but the inside is actually rather nice. It's clean and there is a good amount of seating. There were even some pre-packaged meals at the counter. I went back tonight for takeout for myself after she recently raved about the place. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, four beef samosas, and an order of fried okra. The chicken shawarma wrap was awesome. It was on Naan bread and had fresh vegetables on it. I hadn't tried beef samosas before. You can order them singly, in a four pack, or a 12 pack. Singly they're $1.99. The four pack is $5.99. The 12 pack is $14.99. They have chicken and potato ones too. I'll definitely try those when I come back for more takeout. The fried okra are $5.99 for a 15-20 count. They weren't bad but I probably wouldn't order them again. Instead of calling in an order, I used their online ordering system and I paid online. It is a great process for expedience. They had my order ready for me when I came in. It was bagged nicely. The chicken shawarma wrap was wrapped in foil, which was really nice. The one employee (owner?) was really nicely when I told him it was my first time there. I will definitely return for more takeout food soon. read more

But when there's a problem with your order AND you have to wait an extended period of time (over 50 minutes!) to get the order fixed, the business should extend an olive branch by either discounting your meal, or throwing in something extra at no charge. A sincere apology is expected and appreciated (which I did get!), but something extra should be done on their part to show that they appreciate your business. I'm not expecting a free meal or 1/2 off the bill, but they should give you SOMETHING. A business can't survive without its customers, so when things happen, they should SHOW THEM, and TELL THEM, how much they appreciate your patronage, especially when something goes wrong with an order. My favorite for North-Indian food in Buffalo! I have ordered take out from Ali Baba about 3 times now. I wanted to try a few things before I gave it my review. Everytime I have ordered the food is delicious! They pride themselves in serving Halal food, which, for those of you who don't know, follows the Muslim laws of butchering the meat in a specific way. The menu is somewhat limited in comparison to other Indian restaurants. They have the standard curries, mostly non-vegetarian, and a few veggie ones. In addition to the curries, they also have an assortment of kebabs that can be ordered on a sweker, as a wrap or over rice. All their dishes are very economical and did I mention, delicious?! I have tried: Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Chicken Sheesh Kebab, Potato Samosa, Chicken Samosa and Tandoori Naan. Their curries come with a choice of rice or 2 Tandoori Naans. The butter chicken is the best I have had in Buffalo. Most places make it too sweet. This was the right amount of spice withhout masking the butter flavor. The naans are fluffy and ginormous. The portions are quite substantial and I always have left overs. The samosas are good also. Crispy and not greasy. The kebabs are moist, juicy and perfectly spiced. To me, all they are missing is a little hit of lemon, and I wish they came with a lemon slice. My favorite is the Sheesh kebab. I had to deduct a star because I have tried to order the meatball curry a few times and they are always out. They also didnt have potato samosas one time. Also, the prices on their flier have changed, but still far cheaper than others. 5 stars for quality and taste of the food . I've only ordered take out, so I am looking forward to checking out the location. For me this place leaves all the other Indian restaurants in the area in the dust. Terrible customer service!! Worst treatment I've ever had. We went in when it was a bit busy and it seemed very disorganized. I ordered some wraps and the tandoori leg quarters over rice. I was not given my receipt until I asked and I noticed that I had been charged for the regular Tandoori over rice, not the leg quarters. I waited until the line was gone and went up to the counter again and politely mentioned that I had been charged for the wrong item. The woman behind the counter began yelling at me that it was correct and the price on my receipt was for leg quarters over rice, and the one I was pointing to on their menu screen was for WITHOUT rice. She was very adamant so I went away confused because the menu screen clearly said "ON RICE" . After she realized her mistake she changed her answer and shouted over at me where I was sitting that their prices had changed and the screen prices were wrong, and their menu said $9.99. Since I had a menu right in front of me I decided to check and AGAIN it clearly said leg quarters with rice were 8.99 not 9.99. Many other customers were ordering this, so on principle when our order was ready we mentioned it again to her and she began arguing in front of everyone that all their prices had gone up and their screen was wrong and their menu was wrong. She continued to argue that we took the leg quarters and insisted the price was correct even when we had the menu. Finally she decided to get her glasses out and actually take a look at their menu and handed us four quarters muttering "sorry". It was a small mistake but she was so unprofessional and rude. If she had just taken a look the first time instead of making up excuses and arguing this whole scenario could have been avoided. I'd give this place a 3.5/5. Good things: 1) their naans are soooooo good. The naans are bigger than my face, buttered up, and soft to the touch. 2) anything off of the grill was amazing. I especially love their tandoori chicken. It was not rubbery at all and was very flavorful. Bad things: 1) Their chaat was nasty. I honestly took one bite and threw the rest of it away. I don't know how to describe the flavor.. just trust me -- it was BAD. 2) Their masalas are not very flavorful. If you're Pakistani/Indian or just enjoy spicy food, don't get their masalas. We LOVE getting takeout from Alibaba Kebab. Delicious curries, HUGE naans, and copious sauces. So this place isn't a sit down restaurant where you have an evening out. It's small. But the business is exceptionally clean and we always have good service for our take out orders. We are willing to drive from West Seneca/Orchard Park area out here and back to get our fix regularly. They have a small selection of curries, all of which if you don't specify have a small but decent amount of heat. The meatball one was a surprisingly good and delicious choice that I highly recommend. We also like both chicken curries and get them frequently. The rice is beautifully yellow and topped with fried onions; fragrant and delicious. You get a large portion with your curry. A curry and rice for me is two meals easily, especially when you also get a naan that is much larger than your head with it! Going in for the garlic naan is recommended. We've also tried: tandoori shrimp, tandoori chicken leg quarters, falafels with hummus, samosas (crispy even after the trip home!), and various kebabs. All good. You typically get two sauces with your dishes, a greenish one that has a spice that sneaks up on you as you eat it, and a less spicy sweeter raita type sauce. Both are good with your kebabs and falafels. Highly recommend this place in your takeout rotation for some delicious variety. read more

I picked this place completely at random when ordering from Door Dash and I'm so happy that I did. The food was still hot and ready to eat when it arrived and the flavors are SO GOOD! I ordered the 6-piece mix & match Samosa (potato, beef & chicken. The chicken is my favorite) as well as the Chicken Shawarma over rice. The rice itself doesn't have a ton of flavor but the Chicken Shawarma has more than enough flavor for both and you eat them mixed together anyway. For $20, I've gotten 3 meals out of my order so far and there's enough leftover for one more meal. To reheat the Samosa, I pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds (40 seconds for 2) and then toast in the toaster oven to maintain the crispiness and they are PERFECT that way. I have ordered food from here couple of times. It is a great takeaway place and food is good. Chicken tikka and tandoori chicken from the appetizer are really great and tender. Butter chicken curry is also great. Based on the yelp reviews I ordered seekh kebab and boti kebab from the menu but honestly they are not so great. Prices are reasonable. I really like Alibaba Kebab. My Father suggested we go here one night, and I'm glad we did. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and cheese naan. The food was piping hot and had a plethora of spices to it. They appear to do a large part of their business with SkipTheDishes, as food couriers kept coming in and out while we were there. The menu seems rather expansive and not just solely Indian food, so I have a feeling I'll be coming back here a lot.
