Wow wow wow, this place is amazing! The restaurant is very small and they don't have a lot of tables but we went during the week and sat right away. The only small issue we had was there was a very bad draft and on a cold night we had to keep our jackets on. Moving on to the food, we started off with the Pani Puri and the samosas. The pani puri was so delicious and flavorful, and the portion size was great! For one biters, these really did pack a punch of flavor and I would order them again and again! The samosas were excellent as well! Great size and stuffed to the max, these were delicious paired with the sauces they come with. For entrees, we ordered the paneer tikka masala and the lamb biriyani and both were phenomenal! We also got the garlic naan and onion kulcha to pair with them, which were both excellent. My only complaint on entrees is I wish there was more paneer in the dish, but other than that everything was great! Overall if you love Indian food, this place is truly a must try! They're just missing something I think it comes down to service and management I've come here & back because the food is great, but there are technology problems and issues with the apps. We always have a good experience at Parivaar Pub. Honestly, I don't really care for the pub part. We usually go there mainly for the delicious food during the day. One time, the DJ was spinning some tunes. He was good, but the music was so loud we had to sit outside. It was impossible to have a conversation. The restaurant was pretty empty, so it looked like he was practicing. I think people just wanted to eat, not dance. The patio is on the street side. It's not a particularly pleasant place. The outdoor furniture could also be nicer and, above all, more comfortable. Anyway, the food is great. We were greeted immediately upon entering and given a table to sit at by the person who was trending bar, hosting, serving... I think the only thing she want doing was cooking! The pizza crust was perfect in my opinion... the edge had a nice ring of crust with air bubbles, a little chat and a little chew... under the middle was the perfect thickness to hold the toppings, but still fold in half... the tongs were flavorful and generous, the sliced chicken Tikka was good... I thought the proportions of toppings, crust and sauce were perfect; my dining partner would have liked more sauce. It was served with a nice garlic sauce for drizzling or dipping that added to the flavor palette beautifully... Fantastic spot! Stopped in here on vacation and loved it. I had the Cinnamon Old Fashioned to start and my husband had the Mango Lassi and we loved them both. For entrees I got the Chicken Vindaloo which was smoky, spicy, and fabulous and my husband got the Kashmiri Lamb Curry which was spicy with a little sweetness. We shared the garlic cheese naan which was absolutely the best naan I've ever had. The service was excellent and the waiter/bartender was very apologetic about our wait even though we weren't waiting that long. A great place with a chill yet elegant vibe and great service. Oh, the creativity! Pani Puri was the most fun appetizer I've had in a long time. Potato, onion, coriander and spices are stuffed into a crispy puri. Take the puff ball puri in one hand and pour in the tamarind chutney with the other hand. I could see myself visiting to eat just this treat. I came here to try their Indian take on pizza so I ordered the Palak Paneer Pizza. Fluffy dough with roasted garlic, paneer, spinach placed on top of a creamy garlic and ginger sauce with spices, tamarind, balsamic, and cilantro. It was delicious and a lot of pizza. I took most of it to go and enjoy later at my hotel. My favorite dessert, hands down, is gulab jamin. When I have it at home, I sometimes serve it with vanilla ice cream. The cold of the ice cream contrasts well with the warm balls of cheese. Well, they serve it here and I can't recommend it enough. I love the adventurous menu here and I'll try to fit in another visit before leaving town. read more

Went for an afternoon meal with my fiancé and on the food front, everything was awesome. I really loved the pizza and their Indian-inspired take on them! I had the Qeema pizza with spiced meats, tomatoes, onions, and fresh herbs. And my finacé had the Palak Paneer pizza. Now, in terms of the service experience, this was lacking. Despite being appearing to busy, though admittedly there could've been some online orders coming in to delay kitchen food coming out, but from the time we ordered till the time we got our food was about at least 45 minutes which I felt was pretty unacceptable for just pizza. On top of that, their menu was either out of date or the server didn't know about the pricing changes, but either way we were overcharged for our drinks and the process of trying to get that resolved prroved to be more of a headache than just paying the incorrect price in this case. I want to go back and support simply to eat that delicious pizza again, but that service experience will probably delay me visiting for sometime now. read more

When you walk in you can't help but inhale the warm spices and start to salivate. Small inside, but cozy feeling. Plenty of TVs at bar that can be viewed from any of the tables. Very impressed with their Matar Paneer - peas and paneer in a tomato-based sauce, spiced with garam masala. If you haven't had paneer, it's a must - fresh cheese cubes, that offer a great texture and milky flavor. The Aloo Tikki was another delicious dish. The fried potatoes reminded me of an Indian (and elevated) version of Burger King hashbrown crowns. I wish I knew the dipping sauces they were served with - maybe a chimichurri? and a sweeter, dark purple sauce. Very fresh tasting! Plating was so pretty and portions are generous. This is a newer spot in Elmwood village and I cannot recommend it enough!! Really nice atmosphere inside and they have plenty of TVs if you want to catch a game. The menu has a mix of your Indian food classics plus twists on the classic like the chicken tikka pizza which was phenomenal! We also ordered the Pain Puri which are such a fun appetizer option, an interactive app with the little mint water that you pour into the dish and then eat, wish I had gotten a photo of these ! We declare this amazing gem of a restaurant to share THE BEST cuisine from India in all of our travels across the United States and abroad! I realize this is a huge claim to make but we are certain you will agree once you run (not walk!) to Parivaar Pub in the charming Elmwood village area. The name is deceiving with the word "pub" in it because the menu options are mind-blowing. You read the description of their wings and you want to try several varieties but then you move on to their small plates and see that they offer a very familiar street food from India called Pani Puri. We watched an order of Pani Puri walk by and it looked amazing! We will be having that on our next visit. My husband had a hankering for Tikka Masala with garlic naan and the two items over-delivered in presentation AND flavors! The best garlic naan bread we have ever enjoyed. We have had Indian cuisine in London, NYC, and several regions that play host to great Indian restaurants and Parivaar Pub and chef/owner Joe and his team are knocking it out of the park. We witnessed a Chicken Tikka Pizza go by and we were almost sad we had not ordered that as it was our alternate dinner choice. But we are here for one month in Elmwood and vow to enjoy the great cocktail program and food of this fabulous spot. My biggest miss was not taking photos of any of the food because I was so excited to have come across this exceptional restaurant on the 4th of July simply because we decided to walk in that direction. read more

Been a long time since I've written along review. I have definitely gotten out of the habit. Today I might just write more than usual. I made an impulse stop here. I was driving down Elmwood, saw the name knew that I had read a review and thought to myself: "This is the moment". So I walked in a little before noon and reviewed the menu. Evidently the menu is getting changed soon but the menu I saw had some great looking stuff on it. I ended up having a chicken vindaloo, medium spice, next time I will do hot. It comes beautifully presented with the side of rice, and it was lovely. Also the pieces of chicken and potato are large enough to make it easy to eat. I also ordered tandoori roti, which was perfect to mop up the juices of the vindaloo with. The space is beautiful. It's got a bar, and then it has a bunch of tables.there are tons of TVs, which, presumably, will have various sports playing in the future, but none of the TVs had sound on. Instead, they had nice background music playing that wasn't too loud. There is outside seating as well, and I really think it'll be a lovely place to have a beer and some food on a summer night. I couldn't stop thinking about the meal I had here, and came back a few days later to try new things. read more

Wow! what a fun find! It started raining while we were just having a shopping day and we ducked into the first place we saw. We weren't really looking for dinner, which was sad bc everything sounded so unique and good. We were greeted by glorious Indian spice aromas and a very hospitable bar tender. We each had a cocktail and couldn't resist the arranchini. I've have a lot of fusion foods but never Indian and Italian. Genius! It packed just the right bit of heat. You got the Italian comfort food with the exciting play of Indian spices. I could eat that dish every day and still be mesmerized. We are looking forward to trying more items. I hope that as they get established the menu will include more entrees. The menu looked a little bit like just lunch. But the space and decor look more like an evening date night. Parivaar Pub has something going for it but unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. The bad: The restaurant has the vibe of a party that no one showed up to. Very depressing and uncomfortable. Service is horrible and the little guy working there is much more interested in his phone than the customers. Zero service skills. Food is very inconsistent. On one visit the naan was the best I've had. On another visit it was stale like it was premade. The menu itself is crowded with gimmicky food like Indian pizza and wings. There's not a large enough selection of curries to make going there often possible. The good: A couple of the curries are very delicious. If Parivaar focused on expanding it's menu of curries and made the naan fresh it could be the best Indian restaurant in the city (which is actually not saying that much). read more

The FOOD is delicious. Authentic, mouth-watering recipes crafted with care, experience, and with the guest's experience in mind. We stopped in on a Sunday evening (yes, they're open on Sunday evenings!), and had decadently prepared & stunningly plated Mango Ginger chicken wings, golden rich Chicken Royal Korma, perfectly spiced Saag Paneer (authentic Saag made from more than just spinach), and fresh, hot, buttery Chillie Garlic Naan. The restaurant has been under new, very experienced ownership for about 8mos, and is an emerging bright star on the Elmwood strip. The ambiance is bright and clean, enhanced by open doors to the sidewalk patio, and live DJ music every week. Service was friendly and attentive. If you haven't tried this place, I feel sorry for you. This place has easily become my favorite Indian food spot downtown. I did pickup for my order so I wasn't able to get a great feel of the restaurant environment, but from what I saw it was bright and decorated very nicely. Not only we're the workers extremely nice and conversational, but the food was absolutely spectacular. I got the potato samosas, cheese naan, chicken makhani, and the chicken tikka pizza. The staff was very friendly and the menu does a great job at explaining what the dishes are. The owner even came over to ask us how our meal was and also taught us a little bit about Indian culture. Parivaar is an Indian fusion pub, located in the heart of Elmwood Village. I was excited to try their drinks and food, after seeing their pics on social media. I went there with a couple of friends on a Thursday evening. We got a table quickly and ordered some drinks. I got the Mumbai Mule, which was sweeter than I expected but still quite delicious. We decided to order a few things to share. Jeera Wings, which were rubbed with a cumin dry rub. Very tasty, however, a squeeze of lime would have brightened the flavors. The Mango ginger wings were loved by all. Especially the sharpness from the raw purple onion garnish. We ordered Pani puri and Biryani Arancini as well. Being Indian, I can safely say, ALL Indians love pani puri. So I was glad to see them on the menu. They were quite delicious. Sweet, tangy, crispy, and just the right amount of spice toward the end to make your taste buds dance. I was expecting more "Biryani" flavor from the Arancini. They were ok, just were not my favorite. Lastly, we ordered the Kheema pizza, which is topped with ground lamb and goat cheese on a Naan base. 10/10 on that one. Overall I thought the food was excellent. A true fusion of Indian flavors with pub fare, without compromising the integrity of either. Really just an incredible set of Indian dishes. We had the pani puri appetizer which is like nothing this city boy has had before, and was very fun and a great start to the meal. My wife had the Masala pizza, which was fantastic, well cooked, with a seasoned crust, and really, really good cheese. I had the Kashmiri curry, medium, which wasn't very spicy but was *incredible*. So savory and flavorful. The rice with it was also perfectly cooked. I got the garlic chili naan as well, and while I didn't think it paired with the curry as well as the rice, it was one of the lightest and best cooked naan breads I have ever had. The boozy mango lasso was also a hit with my wife. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. read more

I went with a friend to check this place out since I've been wanting to for a while. It's a smaller spot with a bar and a few tables. We grabbed a table and was immediately assisted with menus. They have a cocktail menu as well as a food menu. I got the Mango Mojito which didn't taste like anything. It was very bland and I couldn't even describe the taste. My friend drank it just so I wouldn't return it even though she didn't care for it that much either. I then ordered the Orange Manhattan and after waiting 10 minutes learned they were out of sweet vermouth. So I just got the Woodford on the rocks. I recommend just just getting a bottled drink or a 2 ingredient mixed drink The food was phenomenal. I got the kashmiri chicken rice bowl and my friend got the mango ginger wings. Compliments to the chef because that definitely got us talking about coming back. The staff was really nice so even with the drink situation I couldn't get too annoyed. The music selection was a great mix of music with a mellow vibe. There was a group of 8 there so you can go with a group. I would definitely make reservations for a group that large.
