The extremely rude guy disrespectful employee/owner
    Sophie W.

If I could put zero stars I would. I never write reviews but I'm appalled at the service and the language and the treatment that I experienced here. The owner I assume/ main worker because he was working alone. Was extremely rude and beyond disrespectful to his customers including myself and my boyfriend. We spent $30 on a half filled box of french fries that were cold and veggie spring rolls that. tasted sour and were uncooked completely on the inside. They have no sweet-and-sour sauce they will try to hand you hot sauce or honey mustard. Everything is overpriced all the ingredients involved and the oil that they use is the cheapest one available. And the best part is when we went back to the owner to complain he took the spring rolls behind the counter started touching them multiple times then tried to re-hand them back to us took them back again behind the counter continuing to argue and yell at us while guess what? Continuing to touch them literally every single individual one with his hands while he was using who knows what with the same gloves he had prior to our in-counter. Hey continued to yell at us and then force us to take them back saying he cannot do anything and that we purchased them and he wouldn't give us some thing else in exchange for them even though what I wanted was a few dollars cheaper than what I had originally bought. We asked for a refund he refused. And I reminded him that at every other restaurant that I go to if a situation like this was to happen not only with the restaurant replace my meal but they would also give me an extra one as well and give me my money back. He continue to yell and be completely inappropriate while we stood there until eventually I believe he felt embarrassed because there was people get a gathering around waiting to order so he handed us a $10 bill and told us to get out in the way. Never have I ever experience this with any restaurant food cart or any type of customer service. I'm a palled they would even allow somebody who treats customers like this to work in the hospitality industry. The food is trash and I will never go here again and if I were you I wouldn't either doesn't matter how drunk you are. Stay away from this food cart it's trash and so are the employees

Small chicken shawarma wrap. So hard to take a good photo in the lighting conditions!

Curiously, there aren't any reviews yet. I stopped by for an evening snack. I liked how they have small and large sizes for lots of their sandwiches which is just what I wanted. The person working the food cart tonight was super friendly and seemed to know his way around the kitchen. The food was pretty standard and came out pretty quickly. The flavors were pretty decent, and I appreciated that my small chicken shawarma automatically came with hummus inside it. I'd come back again if I were looking for just a smidgen of food in the area.

    The wings are delicious

We got wings and chicken cheesesteak. Both were delicious. There were some kids (18-20) that were hungry and seemed strapped for cash. They ordered some cheap food items to share. The guy said "Are you hungry? I'll make you all food". He gace food to them and that sealed the deal for me. Good food and compassionate owners.

Great place (a food cart) for authentic Iraqi cuisine! I loved their falafel gyro sandwich... I love a lot of these Portland food carts, they are one of the city's gems.

The babaganoush was smooth, smoky, and super flavorful without being too heavy. Portions were generous and everything came out fresh. It's one of those spots that feels consistently reliable when you're craving good Mediterranean food done right. Definitely a place I'd go back to for a casual but satisfying meal.

Nicholas Restaurant has a really cute, welcoming vibe, with outdoor tables and plenty of seating inside. They have a great selection of drinks, and I decided to try the house Arnold Palmer--made with fresh lemonade and cinnamon mint iced tea. It was unique and really refreshing. We started with a few appetizers for the table: hummus, tzatziki, and falafel balls. Everything came out quickly and was a hit. The hummus tasted incredibly fresh, the tzatziki had a nice tangy kick, and the falafel balls were perfectly crispy and flavorful. For my main, I ordered the chicken breast kabob plate, which came with two skewers, rice, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. The chicken was incredibly tender and cooked just right. Overall, a great meal with fresh, flavorful food and a relaxed atmosphere. I can definitely see why my family keeps coming back--this spot is well worth a visit.

We were able to try a wide variety of dishes, and every single one was exceptional. I have dietary restrictions (no onions or garlic), and the kitchen and staff were incredibly accommodating. They prepared separate versions of several dishes for me without hesitation, and I never felt like I was getting a lesser experience. It's rare to find a restaurant that can accommodate food sensitivities so thoughtfully while still delivering incredible flavor. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and the service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and made our birthday celebration feel special without ever being overbearing. Everyone in our group left talking about how amazing the food was. We couldn't have asked for a better meal or a better overall experience. Mediterranean Exploration Company has definitely earned a spot on our list of favorite Portland restaurants, and we can't wait to come back.

This place is only a few blocks from my home…read more I randomly came here on a date and didn't have a reservation, so we were told we could sit at the bar, so we grabbed the back corner. It ended up being a great spot. The ambiance is great and the bartender was pleasant. They have a seasonal menu, which assures me that we're going to get the freshest produce possible. We started with the Labneh & Confit Butternut Squash. It was fine, but not my favorite dish of the night. The labneh was more like Greek yogurt than cheese, which isn't a bad thing, but I would have liked a little more saltiness. The Harissa Spice Shrimp, on the other hand, was fantastic. Definitely the standout item we actually ordered. The Baked Eggplant was good too, although it didn't quite wow me. I think there was some mix up, as we were first served the Roasted Eggplant Dip. We flagged the server down to say it wasn't what we ordered, but they let us keep it. Boy were we happy about this! It was the best dish of the night (and a must reorder). The pita to go with the Labneh and the Dip was excellent too. Piping hot and just right.
