HH rib and Mac N' Cheese

Many people claim this place as their FAVORITE barbecue. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed margaritas,Ribs,Open face sandwich, and Mac and cheese from the happy hour menu. The staff were cheerful and attentive :) They had a lot of inside seating as well. I can't wait to try more stuff here!

Look, I'm not a huge BBQ fan but I like meats. And this place was pretty good. I only ate half of my plate because there was just so much food. I had to waddle out with my pants unbuttoned. But listen, this place is yummy. And clean and service doesn't suck. Eat up!

Wing week-bees knees, 6 wings very loose sauce Ordered to go bbq came with 2 sides, not huge portions but the obligatory smoke is present. More of a sports bar, inside has tons of seating including the bar. Decor is southern hunter meets indie chic. Service was quick and knowledgeable, no lingering, not much back and forth. A no frills get my dang bbq in my belly right now.

My son loves Reverends BBQ. We stopped by Friday early afternoon for Happy Hour. The restaurant was quiet, clean with plenty of seating. All the staff were very friendly and engaging. Our party of 4 was seated at a cozy table near the bar. We ordered Old School Smash Burgers- L.M ground beef, house cheese blend, bread & butter pickles secret sauce, butter-griddled white bread. I loved this old school burger the smash patty was cooked perfectly resulting in a lacy, juicy and cheesy burger. The white bread is the perfect vessel to hold it all together. Simple and delicious. Happy Wedge salad - Iceberg Lettuce, LM Bacon, Shaved Radish, crispy Onions & Blue Cheese Dressing. Classic wedge salad the crispy onions and delicious bacon sets it apart from all others. Carolina Clamshell -Butter griddled white bread served open-faced with chopped pork shoulder, coleslaw and Carolins Gold sauce. This little gem was an unexpected surprise. I loved everything about this open faced sandwich and it only cost $4.50!

I don't know how I'd never come here before as it's been in my bookmarks for ages. I happened to be coming by and saw it was not only open but also happy hour. All the staff were friendly, and the place was super cozy. I liked they had some bottles of bbq sauce you could use as well as Crystal's and a whole roll of paper towels. They also have a very diverse tap list which I appreciated. I got the HH relish tray, Carolina Clamshell, and one rib for good measure. Everything was sooo tasty! I am a big lover of tangy BBQ, and this definitely brought the bright acidity I wanted. I was tempted to get more but was on a further journey for the day. Definitely my favorite place in town now! Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Evening out with my crew! After a small wait we were seated. The atmosphere is inviting with lots of chatter. The team works hard to clear and rotate the tables to keep the waiting list flowing. Once seated our food did not take long to make it to our table. Overall the brisket was perfectly balanced with a little dip in the spicy sauce. Topped with a side of collard greens and mac. Food did not disappoint!

I wouldn't recommend going on a Wednesday in the middle of the day. The worst ribs I've ever had like beef jerky status, and they had the weirdest tasting sauce. Their side of Mac n' cheese with the stale potato chips tasted like garbage. To top it off my husband already S*** his pants after having the brisket sandwich and my stomach is now starting to rumble.

Ordered to go and it's always quite good and well packaged. Banana pudding is a repeat item for me, it's delicious. Grilled polenta is a great side, and the Mac and cheese was as well. Overall, definitely would order again!

Gotten better over the years. Great Happy Hour and friendly staff. Fried chicken sandwhich and BBQ beans were amazing. And HH has a 6 dollar smash burger- in today's food cart rip offs, that's a deal.

So good! The brisket melts in the mouth. Fries were well seasoned. Our server kept the lemonade coming. Best part was the banana pudding. So good! Outside seating was perfect for a hot day.

Great BBQ find in Portland! First, cool decor and vibe. Second, short wait on a Saturday ight. Next. Our server, Brie, was helpful and friendly. Then the food... Brisket was moist with great smokey flavor. We prefer a leaner cut but still flavorful. Surprised but pleased with the beans that had been seasoned with beer and a lot of beef pieces. Such a rich flavor! Mac and cheese was fine. The fried polenta with corn chile sauce was a new experiment and it was a hit! Lastly, we indulged in the banana pudding. So creamy and rich. Overall, a win for finding another great BBQ place in Portland.

IMO. This BBQ is Kansas City style, so the sauce is a bit sweeter. We got the brisket, the chicken wings, and sides. We couldn't decide if on the sauce for the wings, so we got all 3 on the side. The Alabama white sauce was A+ The brisket was perfectly tender. It had great flavor and marbling. The wings are full wings with the drummette attached. That's the way to do it! They are smoked and then fried. They got the crisp just right. Let's talk about sides! We got the collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. They were all FANTASTIC! The coleslaw is a vinegar coleslaw, which I love. It wasn't the sweet mayonnaise style that most people don't enjoy. It was so good! The collard greens were perfectly flavored and tender! I couldn't have done better myself. The beans were sweet but also savory. Not super sweet, which makes me happy. Very well balanced. The server was super friendly and nice. I selected the Thai Tea from the menu, and it proved to be a thoroughly delightful and harmonious choice. For my entrée, I settled on their celebrated specialty, the Sour Fried Chicken. The establishment beautifully highlights Asian culinary traditions, and I must say, I am immensely impressed by both their hospitality and their meticulous approach to food preparation. The kitchen executed the order with commendable timing; precisely twelve minutes later, the chicken was presented to my table, remarkably fresh and wonderfully fragrant.
