Looking so new and fresh that the cat hissed at the apparent new dog and hasn't come out from hiding.

I don't even know where to start. I don't feel like enough words have been invented to fully show how thankful I am for Russ and Alice and the whole team here. Long story short: our dog was abused and terrified of everything. His fear makes him aggressive toward anything like grooming or vet visits. Little did we know how fast his hair grew when we adopted him, and it requires regular grooming. The ONLY way we could get this done was to take him to our vet where they'd put him under and shave him down. 1-SO expensive 2-not great for his heart 3-still traumatizing (for our dog and for us, since we would hold him in our arms as he lost consciousness). After the vet said he was getting too old to be put under, I started searching for groomers. I found Alice's through family and they have been UNBELIEVABLE to work with. We've been three times now. They listen and understand all (ALL) my neurotic concerns, they work with me to fit him in when there aren't large dogs there (my dog has been attacked twice in our neighborhood so they are considerate of that), the price is so very reasonable, they are always fantastic at communicating if they'll be done early or late, and finally--the actual grooming is great too. (That part is the least of my concerns, lol). Russ even offered to help me lift my dog into the car since he's a bit heavy for me. I truly cannot imagine what I would do without them, they have been a complete lifesaver to me.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience here was truly disappointing. We brought our…read moreanxious pup in with the goal of scheduling a sedation grooming appointment -- something we were told required an initial vet visit to establish care first. Fair enough. We followed through, paid several hundred dollars for his vet exam and other recommended services, and assumed we were on the right track. Fast forward to when I called to schedule the actual grooming: I spoke with a woman who was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She informed me (bluntly) that no groomers were taking on new clients -- something that would've been helpful to know before spending hundreds of dollars. When I expressed that, she offered no apology. Instead, she started sharing way too much personal information about staff members being out on PTO due to various family issues. I was shocked and uncomfortable. This is a business, not a therapy session -- I was calling to schedule a service, not hear about your internal staffing problems. Despite all this, I later received a call saying one groomer was willing to see our dog after all. Great -- we scheduled the appointment, and my husband even took PTO to be available. But the day before the appointment, we got another call canceling it because the groomer now had a personal issue. When I asked to reschedule, they flatly said no. No alternatives offered. No accountability. No care. We're now left scrambling to find a new provider -- but honestly, I'm relieved. If this is how they handle communication and client service, I wouldn't feel safe leaving our dog in their care anyway. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly not equipped to handle clients with even a basic level of respect.

Well they completely ignored me and did it anyway. I then spent the following 3 days, trying to soothe and comfort my dog who was having full panic attacks and licking himself raw. The vet confirmed his glands were expressed. To me this is unacceptable and I did contact them to file a complaint. I do not recommend any place who does not take your animals needs seriously.

I just wrapped up a 6-week training program with Dogtown's head trainer, Makenzie and had such an…read moreamazing experience. I have a timid, sometimes reactive and aggressive dog, who needed a lot of help with training. After an hour consultation with Makenzie, we decided to do three day & train sessions where my dog would go to their facility for a half day of training one on one with Makenzie, three at home 1:1 sessions in my dog's natural environment, and three hour long group classes. The amount that I learned in these 6 weeks was absolutely mind blowing. Training your dog is about practice and consistency, and speaking your dog's language, and Dogtown gave me the confidence and the knowledge to be able to train my dog on my own. The day & train opportunities were a wonderful way to start. Makenzie would train my dog 1:1 and then would send me videos about everything they worked on during their sessions. When I came to pick her up, Makenzie would show me what they worked on and how I could practice it at home. The training sessions in my own home were incredibly helpful as well. It gave me time to practice with my dog(s) in their natural environment and refreshers on what we had already learned, and building upon the skills she was learning. The group sessions were amazing for my dog, and any dog, to have an opportunity to practice in a new, overstimulating environment with other dogs that she doesn't know. Since she is apprehensive around other dogs, this was amazing practice for her. On top of everything else, the team is so friendly and kind, and the trainers are so knowledgable. I had the chance to take a group class with their trainer Maren and she was wonderful as well. Thank you to the team for teaching both me and my dog the skills to be better trained.

Their prices are very reasonable for a full trim, bath, nails, and everything else, plus I usually grab some treats. It was about $80 for my miniature schnauzer. Other places have charged me anywhere from $100 to $150 without question, and places cheaper than DNW have done some pretty poor work on him. Everything is so expensive now, but their prices feel fair and reasonable. I really appreciate them, and so does Doug, my dog.

Our pup was wounded during a trim, some skin snagged with the shears, and though it was superficial, she started bleeding a good bit. They cared for her like she was their own. We were informed about it immediately, the bleeding treated, and she was dressed with some ointment to help stave off infection. The owner told me to call them if she ended up having any more bleeding, needed any veterinary care, or it otherwise became infected. If you have ever tried grooming a dog with clippers, you can understand how easy it might be to accidentally clip something you shouldn't. However, they still held themselves accountable and wanted to take care of us all. We've been back twice since then for grooming. Now I say this -- 10 years we've seen them for haircuts, and only the one minor incident. They are confident experts and guarantee their work.
