I'm a neurotic dog owner so I was nervous about leaving my dog with a stranger, but Kirstine was very reassuring. I assumed that was normal and that's what I expected when I dropped my dog off for his 2:00 appointment. So when I received a text less than two hours later that he was ready, I thought they must have made a mistake. Maybe trimmed him up, but didn't bathe him? Or maybe he was such a jerk that they gave up and wanted me to come get him before he was finished. But when I arrived, I saw a fluffy, fresh pup that smelled amazing. He was taken great care of and didn't look traumatized and exhausted from a half-day event at the groomers. Sarah did an outstanding job! My dog can be a handful-he's afraid of literally everything and isn't a fan of being groomed. But she said he was a champ. I think she just knows what she's doing and is so good with dogs that she put him at ease. We will be back!

We followed through, paid several hundred dollars for his vet exam and other recommended services, and assumed we were on the right track. Fast forward to when I called to schedule the actual grooming: I spoke with a woman who was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She informed me (bluntly) that no groomers were taking on new clients -- something that would've been helpful to know before spending hundreds of dollars. When I expressed that, she offered no apology. Instead, she started sharing way too much personal information about staff members being out on PTO due to various family issues. I was shocked and uncomfortable. This is a business, not a therapy session -- I was calling to schedule a service, not hear about your internal staffing problems. Despite all this, I later received a call saying one groomer was willing to see our dog after all. Great -- we scheduled the appointment, and my husband even took PTO to be available. But the day before the appointment, we got another call canceling it because the groomer now had a personal issue. When I asked to reschedule, they flatly said no. No alternatives offered. No accountability. No care. We're now left scrambling to find a new provider -- but honestly, I'm relieved. If this is how they handle communication and client service, I wouldn't feel safe leaving our dog in their care anyway. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and clearly not equipped to handle clients with even a basic level of respect.

The location is literally four blocks from our house so in terms of convenience it can't get any better. The groomers are amazing! Our Sheltie has never looked better and he actually goes in willingly with a doggy smile on his face. He's six years old and has been professionally groomed his entire life, but had become afraid when I took him to other groomers, now he's happy again. The ladies at Alice's Pet Grooming showed me immediately that I had nothing to worry about! There was a dog being groomed at the same time, which caused my cat to get puffy, but they handled him so perfectly and everything was over super quick.
