Our normal groomer that I take my dogs to is having her salon remodeled, so I needed someplace else to take our pup for his first grooming. People were friendly. Price was good. However, his grooming looks very uneven, he has a slight bald spot on the top of his head like maybe the clippers slipped, and he's much shorter than I asked for. I hate leaving reviews that aren't great, but it was either this, or dispute the charge to get my money back. I also think that it would be nice if you could see your dog BEFORE paying. Just speaking honestly...I don't think I would've tipped as much had I saw him first. I hope others have a better experience. Thanks. read more

They did not give me any information on what happened. I immediately took him to the vet. The vet could not determine what caused the injuries. I would not recommend bringing your dogs here. The shop itself is a very unwelcoming place. I showed up a few minutes before our appointment and was greeted with awkward looks by the staff until finally someone came over to ask what I needed. When I came to pick up my dog, the same thing. Everyone has headphones in or was talking to one another and barely looked up to see if I had been helped. When they brought my dog out, they just opened the back door and let her run across the shop to me from the back, leash dragging behind her until she all but ran out the door as there was another customer coming in. The groomer didn't even speak to me, I had to get someone else to check me out. I'm not typically one to harp on these issues but it was just a very awkward and negative experience I didn't appreciate - felt like I was bothering them. As for the cut itself, I was horrified. She was shaved down completely, even her tail, with a rough cut and lots of patches. Took only 1 hour, despite booking a longer appt in hopes that they would take their time and be a little more careful. I had called out a few areas she was matting and asked to just shave those spots because I knew she wasn't matted elsewhere (and yes, I've had her shaved down completely before because of matting so this was not a matter of me not knowing what has to be done with matting). I asked they call if they needed to shave anything else just in case. Terrible service. They're just trying to do things as fast as possible and don't care about their customers. We were 15 minutes late for an appointment with our three Corgis and they wouldn't take us. We offered to only do nail trimmings and not a full grooming and they wouldn't work with us. They said it was because we have canceled before, but so have their groomers on us multiple times. I was flexible and rescheduled but they did not have any flexibility or compassion for us. One thing I cannot stand is people who don't take accountability for their actions. The groomer we were using left to go elsewhere so we took the next available slot from whoever was available. Twice now, my dog had so much clipped hair in one or both of her eyes that her eyeball looked rough instead of glossy, which resulted in a corneal hernea and a $300 vet Bill. After this happened once, I brought this up after dropping her off a second time 6 weeks later and asked that they be careful with getting hair in her eyes and not to shave the top of her snout down to the skin like last time. They did it AGAIN! Same thing, a big wad of hair that had swirled up on the front of her eyeball. I was really irritated and made a big deal about it upon pick up. Two groomers got defensive about it claiming they didn't do it in the first place because Shih-tzu's have have lashes that point in an odd direction, which still doesn't excuse why there was a wad of hair in her eye. It was very fine hair and nothing thick like lashes are. I demanded that they get the hair out of her eyes and it took 10 minutes of rinsing to get it out. They were still adamant that it wasn't their fault when they just spent 10 minutes undoing what they did. That's about the same as pissing on someone's shoes right in front of them while saying it's raining outside. I have never had this problem with any of my dogs in 15 years of history until I came to this place. I contacted yet another groomer there who took forever to get back to me, and then said "I'm not taking any clients". This can be easily translated to "I talked to my fellow hair packers who are still in denial and I don't want to deal with your dog". No worries, pet grooming is a cut throat business with plenty of competition and you can rest assured that I'll never recommend that place to anyone. read more

I was so pleased with the grooming service my labradoodle got yesterday. First of all, I was able to get an appointment sooner than I could get in to my other regular place, so I decided to try Pet Pawlor. My poor dog had gotten tons of foxtails embedded in his fur, and his groomer meticulously plucked them all out with tweezers, definitely going above and beyond. Everyone there was friendly and I could tell they all love animals. My dog came home looking so nice, feeling so soft and smelling so fresh! Also, they charged a bit less than any other place I've taken him for grooming. We will be taking him back every time from now on! read more

They got us in on short notice, did a great job grooming our 128-pound Akbash dog, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The facility is humid (of course; they wash dogs there!) but well-maintained, and the animals were well-treated. The owner is communicative and friendly. Five-star experience all around! read more

The job they did was ok. The service at this place is atrocious. All the workers with earplugs in. No one says anything to you when you get there. Very unfriendly, negative environment. I really wanted to love this place and I was just starting to until I was told I can't bring my dog back in because of his last behavior by barking too much. I didn't know that every dog is an angel and behaves perfect? Or is this place only accepting certain dogs that they like and don't have to have too much work with? I found it rude that they told me to find another place. I have another dog I take to petsmart and this other dog of mine has the worse whining and behavior but not ONCE I was told I couldn't come back. Every single grooming place I seen I've seen so much worse than just a barking dog. On the grooming side you need to make sure you say a few times how short you want your dogs hair because they won't cut much hair at all and charge you still full price. But when you go there to see if they can solve your issue but they continue to tell you that your wrong . And when they don't listen to the issue that we're having with the dog. How were they gonna try to fix the problem by continuing to accuse us that we didn't tell them on how to do the groom. We gave them pictures asked specifically if they could manage and they said yes. We get there and she's like that's her first job on a this type of dog. I get it you want to accept any job because we all way to make money . And if your unsure how to complete the job or if he was just a terrible dog why weren't we called to come get the dog. I dropped my little 3 month old puppy off for her first grooming and Stephanie Richardson did a fantastic job of helping my little Roxy through the whole process and made her feel as comfortable as possible. Took my yorkie in for an ok groom and my chihuahua for a nail clipping. When my daughter brought them home the chihuahua was limping and crying. I took her back to see what happened and they said nothing out of the norm. Now my dog is a crybaby and it takes 2 groomers to trim her nails. it was done one this time and she held on a little to tight. After a weekend of her limping and crying I took her to the vet. She is on pain meds while she heals. I called the Pet Pawlor and they wouldn't even listen to what I had to say. This whole time I was very nice, just hoping they would talk to the groomer. I made my appt a week in advance and they told me they could take my dog on Sat. At 10 am. I did not specially request a Saturday. My small dog was not ready until 5pm and when she got home she couldn't drink enough water. Another lady came and picked up her dog before me while I was still waiting and told me she was a walk-in without an appt at 12:45. Don't think I'll go back. Took our dog there....and the groomer burnt her skin by letting the clipper get too hot...as told to us by the owner. We took her to a vet, and paid over $150 to have that verified.
