I was finally able to take my family to VegHead, and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. We ordered the steak seitan with mashed potatoes, mac & cheese with chicken tenders, fries, and chocolate avacado cake. All of the food we ordered was AMAZING, and we had plenty to take home! From the amiable staff to the welcoming environment to the spectacular food, we would highly recommend VegHead for vegans and non vegans alike! We are looking forward to coming back soon!

We really enjoyed our meal. My bowl was definitely the best item. As long as you are looking for vegan food, this place is great. Nothing really beats real cheese.

We tried the black bean and corn tacos, they were delicious. Staff is polite and friendly, cute small, dining area with a fire place.

Floors everywhere were extremely dirty, bathrooms dirty, and when I peaked inside the kitchen (while walking by) so filthy (to be honest, we considered leaving before even ordering anything!). HOSTESS & SERVER: The hostesses were fine, not rude but not friendly either. Our server (male with dark hair) was very nice, he at times gave off a vibe of being new. The service is still very SLOW, so plan to be sitting awhile waiting to order, get food, etc. FOOD: This is what we ordered.... Cheddars Trio Sampler -- 3 Choices were: Chicken Tenders, Wisconsin Cheese Bites, and Queso Fries. Taste: Chicken tenders were good, cheese bites were very good (greasy though), queso fries were alright. Size: average. Price: $12.49 Cheddars Trio Sampler -- 3 Choices were: Chicken Tenders, Chips & Queso w/meat, and Queso Fries. Taste: Chicken tenders were good, chips were good, queso with meat was fine, queso fries were alright. Size: average. Price: $12.49 Monte Cristo -- Taste: it was alright but found it was too sweet and got sickening to eat after the first piece. Size: average. Price: $11.99 Baby Back Ribs -- Taste: very dry. Overall flavor was alright but we had a hard time getting past how dry and tough they were. Greens beans were not very good. Mashed potatoes were good. Size: average. Price: $16.49 OVERALL THOUGHTS: Server was very kind but service in general is slow. Cleanliness has definitely been lacking and I honestly would hate to see what happens in the kitchen!! WOULD I RETURN? Probably not, mostly due to the state of cleanliness the whole establishment was in.

The place is conveniently located on Saginaw HWY along with a lot of other eateries. There is lots of parking. The restaurant has some mileage to it as it is a bit dated, but I liked it. We enjoyed the big booths and large table. Lucky it was large because we ordered more than a few things. To start, we ordered the onion rings and the fried cheese for our appetizers. They were both quite good, but my favorite was the onion rings fried to perfection. Light and crunchy and just a great bite. We also ordered what Cheddars calls the painkiller. It is a large tasty drink that is sort of a combination of a piña colada Meets a Mai Thai. The meals included the Key West chicken and it comes with rice and two sides. It has a kick to it and it's really flavorful and tender. We also ordered the sirloin and the hand breaded chicken tenders. Both were quite delicious and I love the crunch on the chicken tenders. The sides were also really nice and they included the sweet carrots and the broccoli cheese casserole along with crispy fries. This was quite a meal and it filled us up in a very happy way. We ate up and we left very happy and full with the idea of returning here soon. I don't live around here but when I visit this area, I will definitely stop here again.

Came on a Wednesday and it was packed but the wait went pretty quick. Inside has beautiful artwork on the walls that can be purchased. To get us started we ordered a cup of seafood chowder, cup of chicken noodle, and yes bread pudding as an appetizer, lol. The soups were great. But that bread pudding was phenomenal and the star of the show.I highly recommend it. As our main entre we ordered the wet burrito, pastrami, build your omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, and green onions. Everything was delicious. A special thank you to our server Kecia.

Our party of four were served the food in phases rather than everyone's plate coming at once. I'd consider the service slow since we waited a bit 10 minutes (?) to order. Had the seafood soup which was fine but the bread I asked to be served with it was cold, dry slices of a French baguette. The salad someone else from our party ordered had a nice serving of beef on it and looked tasty. The beef stroganoff another person ordered was overly seasoned to me as I was given a taste and beef wasn't very tender. Overall food is fine. Place is nice with some outside seating.

This comes with 4 meats, 4 sides, and 4 pieces of Cornbread. I got Pulled Pork, Brisket, Smoked Wings, and Ribs ($8 upcharge) for my meats. For the sides I got Mac N Cheese, Bbq Pit Beans, Mashed Potatoes, and Spicy Creamed Corn. Overall everything was good and well cooked. From best to least it was Ribs, Brisket, Smoked Wings, and then the Pulled Pork. I would get the ribs and brisket again, but probably pass on the wings and pulled pork. The Bbq beans were only okay, oddly enough as cold leftovers they were much better. The Mac N Cheese was okay, but I wouldn't get it again. The Mashed Potatoes were very good. The spicy Cream Corn was excellent, they weren't lying it has a spicy kick! Funny enough the best thing was the Cornbread. It was fantastic, some of the best I've had. The worst thing? The sauces. They all were not good at all. The most tolerable one is their regular sauce, still a c minus. The service was good, but I was asked how I was doing about a hundred times. Still everyone was friendly. Overall a 4 star review. Would I return? If I was in Lansing then Yes. It is quality bbq cooked by someone with skill. I just might bring my own bbq sauce.

This is a good choice if you want 'fast' food but a healthier, tastier, more filling alternative. The meals here really do remind you of home cooking, there's a wide selection of entrees and sides (which are fabulous by the way; try the mac and cheese). The service at this location is great. I've only been here for lunch since I work nearby but the staff is always very friendly, smiling, welcoming, and helpful. They just recently started serving your food on real plates, and they clean up after you too (but have a 'no tipping' policy so you don't have to worry that tips are now expected at fast food joints). The only negative thing I can really say is that it is a bit pricier than other fast food restaurants. You might spend $8 for lunch instead of $5, but it is definitely worth it.
