I really like the large TVs they have to watch sports while working out. The restrooms have quite a few stalls and lots of lockers. This has the potential to be a great gym if they update free weights equipment. The bench press is very out dated and lots of missing weights. Barbells are very disorganized and missing. Members pay an annual maintenance fee for FC so why isn't the facility being maintained to members standards. Members are what provides your income and we are not getting what we pay for.

I'm at high risk for a hip fracture. I managed to walk to the front desk and told the manager. Andrew, I was hurt. He threw some bandaids over the counter. I have a permanent scar on my leg now. I went to change my membership today and he had me sign a waiver saying I would be careful not to get hurt as part of the routine membership requirements for everyone. I mentioned that I did get hurt before and he didn't address my injury at all. Believe it or not, this guy, Andrew, the manager I guess, started chastising me and saying it was my fault because I didn't inform him enough that I was injured. I told him he didn't even walk out from behind the desk to address my injuries. He just threw a bandaid over the counter. He got really rude with me like it was my fault because I should have done more to make sure he knew I was injured. What an AH! I called their corporate office and the customer service lady started giving me medical advice because she said she was a nurse at one time. Then she started laughing about it. What jerks!

Formal Complaint Regarding Membership Cancellation and Improper Collection Actions…read more I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding my experience with Planet Fitness in Lake Stevens, Washington. I moved from Washington State to Texas and contacted Planet Fitness to cancel my membership because I was no longer living in the area and would not be able to use the facility. I specifically requested the cancellation of my membership, yet I continued to be charged for several months after my request. What is even more concerning is that, despite my attempts to resolve the situation, I was informed that the account could be sent to collections. I find it completely unacceptable to be threatened with negative consequences to my credit over charges that I had already requested to have stopped. I made a good-faith effort to cancel my membership and resolve the issue directly with Planet Fitness. Instead of receiving reasonable assistance, I was left dealing with continued charges and the possibility of having an account sent to collections. I understand that membership agreements have terms and conditions, but customers should not be responsible for charges resulting from an unsuccessful cancellation process when they have clearly communicated their request to cancel and made reasonable attempts to resolve the matter. This experience has been extremely frustrating and has significantly changed my opinion of Planet Fitness. A company should make the cancellation process clear, transparent, and fair, especially when a customer has relocated to another state. I hope Planet Fitness will review this situation, stop any further improper charges, correct the account, and ensure that no negative information is reported to any credit bureau as a result of this dispute. As a parent, it was incredibly upsetting to hear that adults who were supposed to be providing a safe and supportive environment were treating my child this way. I expected the concerns to be taken seriously, investigated, and addressed appropriately. Instead, I repeatedly felt dismissed and that very little was done to correct the situation. Parents should be able to leave their children in Life Time's care knowing they will be treated with kindness and respect. Children should never feel mocked, singled out, or bullied by the adults responsible for supervising them. We have invested a significant amount of money in our Life Time membership and trusted them with our children. After repeatedly bringing these concerns to management and feeling like they were never taken seriously, I'm incredibly disappointed in how this was handled. I hope Life Time takes a serious look at the culture, training, supervision, and accountability within its child care programs.
