This was a great tour. We went today and really enjoyed ourselves. Our driver/guide was Junior. He was funny and informative. The tour included a small fire show/demonstration. Traditional methods on opening a coconut, a short canoe ride near secret island and an informative bus ride. You even get a small souvenir and apple banana included. I really recommend this tour to everyone. It cost $20 and is $15 for residents.

We had the absolute best time here!!! At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money to do the tour because we wrongfully assumed it was just a drive through the fields. Boy were we wrong!!! We have been in Hawaii almost a week now and this was the first time I was overwhelmed almost to the point of tears just in appreaction for the culture and those who give us the honor of having it shared with us. It was amazing to have shared this time with the amazing people at the farm and truly felt like Ohana. Not only was it interactive and hilarious!!! But the infornation being shared and the love and respect shown for land and culture has made this experience one of our very favorites!!!! We learned all about the "tree of life" and just how essential cocnuts are to life on the island (providing a whole new respect for them) as well as fire demonstrations, and so much more!

After the show we had our pucture5taken.

This was the best tour I've ever been on!! If u live here or are military it's only $15.00 for an hour. They show you all of the plant life, how to start a fire from sticks, how to shuck a coconut and give u the fresh shredded coconut, spin fire, includes a boat ride, show u locations of different movies and shows filmed here and so much more. My friends and I loved it and I will be taking all of my guests here

I did not expect this tour to be so much fun. You get a tour of the farm and a quick show from the tour guide. Not only was it interesting, but our tour guide was very funny and entertaining. They allowed us to smell the fruit, explain what seasons what fruits are available and provide the history of the plants. When you get to the site, you can crack fresh macadamia nuts and eat it. You just have to be careful of the wild chickens running around because they wait to eat the macadamia nut as you crack it open. Fair warning that you need to bring cash to pay for the tour and you buy it on site. I would recommend this tour to others. The day we went was too gloomy to go to the beach so this was a nice alternative.

The Fire dance was AWESOME! Just plain awesome!

We really enjoyed this tour! A good money value and one of the highlights of our recent trip to Hawaii.

    Fire!!!!!

The guys are still doing a great job with the Ali'i tour. The boat ride is currently suspended, but we were told they are trying to start it back up. We have enjoyed this tour about 4 times now and will be back with our next visitors.

This was like having an old friend give you a tour of his place. Very relaxing very fun and lots of laughing. Well worth the effort to visit your old Hawaiian friend.

Just finished with the Ali'i tour and this tour was definately worth the $20 for the 1.5 hour ride on the bus, fire dance show, coconut husking demonstration, boat ride, banana apples to snack on, and just all out good information about the nature in Hawaii, movie sets, and some good comedy. The staff on this tour was excellent and the whole place has an "about the customer" attitude and will go out of their way to help you with anything you need. I recommend this tour to all who visit Hawaii, great value and excellent tour!!

We decided to try what we learned. It took awhile to find a "sharp stick"

My brother was visiting from Florida and loves Jurassic Park so I had thought it would be fitting to take him in the Jurassic Adventure Tour. We chose the bus option instead of UTVs because we wanted to relax and enjoy the sights but there is a UTV tour option as well. We were able to see a lot of the different movie sights and our guide was great at explaining and walking us through the history of the ranch and all the different movies and shows that have filmed there. Our guide even got it to the episode or scene for each show or movie, which was really cool. Once your tour is over there's still so much to do and see if you have time. There's a small farmers market store towards the front of the ranch as well as a visitors center that has a souvenir store as well. I can't wait to go back to do another tour and keep learning about the ranch and area.

The biggest highlights for us were the Byodo-In Temple and the Dole Plantation. We were originally going to drive ourselves to these places, but we were so glad we ran into the vendors on the street instead. Some of the stops didn't quite meet our expectations, but for the price (especially with the discount), it was well worth it. However, the real heartbeat of the tour wasn't even the sites--it was Neo and Ryan. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the island, and their presentation was filled with heartwarming honesty, real facts, and no sugar-coating. I'd say the prices were reasonable, considering how much takeout and restaurant food costs these days. The burger was fat as hell and the dog wasn't Costco sized but definitely satisfied the kid. I didn't get pics of the food because I was too enthralled over the size of the patty! We spent the day also visiting the Mighty Mo, the Virtual Reality tour, and gift shop shopping also.

I understand that active military base, but not publishing on the website regarding the bag restrictions and then forcing people to pay it just not right. But oh well. Plan accordingly because while the buses run every 15 minutes, you need to wait. The museum is $30 entry fee but keep in mind 3/4 of the museum is currently closed for renovation. For $30 it is a bit pricey but because of the buses and the amount of employees, i understand the high price tag. 2 stars. The deep history and the significance of this place and the men and women that gave their lives makes this a 5 star must see to show your respect. Museum: very small but well done with restored planes recovered from the war. There was a Blue Angels pilot shared his experience. I was able to catch the last 5 minutes. The employees are very knowledgeable and willing to share stories. I read everything and was done in roughly 45 minutes. The museum is very small - 4 stars. Here is my recommendation: Come the visitor center it is free. Check that out and read everything. See the Submarine from the outside because it is free. Then jump on the bus because it is free. While you are driving to the warship, you pass the Arizona Memorial. Snap a photo and show your respect. Get off at the warship. Walk around the warship it is free. Then jump back on the bus and go to the Aviation museum. Again free. Walk around the outside and see the airplanes it is free. There is a gigantic helicopter it is free. Go to the back and look in the backside to get perspective. Then just back on the bus and go back to the visitor center it is free. If anyone says anything to you, go to the cafe/restaurant across from the Aviation Museum.

We started at 6am and the morning was a tranquil visit to all the animals in the ocean. Our guides were Connor and Bethany, and they are knowledgeable naturalists and wonderful guides who took good care of us inside and outside of the water. Captain Kim knew we were birders and wanted to take photos of the shearwaters, boobys, and albatrosses and she always positioned the boat while giving us the best and most stable view for photography, while maintaining a respectful distance to the animals to avoid stressing them. We went out to Ka'ena point and had a great view of the Laysan albatross colony. There is truly nothing like having an albatross fly overhead. Along the way, we saw spotted dolphins actively feeding and playing, and also saw spinner dolphins! Seeing the monk seal lounging on the beach was a bonus. The wedge tail shearwaters had just returned so they were busy on the water. We also found masked boobys and brown booby feeding. We also saw turtles at their cleaning station! Connor and Bethany were knowledgeable about the landscape and the ecology and shared wonderful information. They are genuinely the nicest people! Highly recommended. We went out with 3 different boat charter companies during our time in Oahu and this was by far the absolute best. The west side is so much calmer than the other sides of the island and we got to see and do so much! We swam with spotted eagle rays, turtles, spotted dolphins, and got to see lots of living coral reef. We located and sent in coordinates for a "ghost net" that was too big for us to bring on board so that it could be collected to make sure that it didn't harm any creatures. Their ethics are so spot on - before we left the debris they used the gopro to make sure that there wasn't anything actively entangled. In deeper water we saw false killer whales - tons of them - and spent time watching them and learning about their behaviors. While another boat sent their crew in with them, we did not send anyone into the water with them and there was definitely a change in their behavior when people were in the water with them. We felt like we were part of marine biology on the island while also getting once in a lifetime experiences and photos. The photos are so amazing - definitely worth it to purchase! I can't imagine us going back to Oahu and not doing this again. Obviously the ocean is going to be different every time, but Wild Side's team was just so wonderful and we learned so much. Highly highly recommend!
