I booked the All Inclusive Ultimate Circle Island Day Tour with Lunch and Waterfall via Viator. I didn't realize I was booking a tour on a huge bus, or I would not have booked this tour. That being said, we still had a pretty good time, other than dealing with a large crowd because we were on a huge bus. Our tour guide, Brandon, was outstanding and incredibly knowledgeable. Without him, I would have rated this tour no higher than 2-3 stars. Our driver, "K," was outstanding and friendly. The tour stopped at intetesting sights and the lunch was very good. If you don't mind being on a bus of around 50 people, this tour is well worth the time and money. If you don't like big crowds, try to book a smaller group tour.

I'm so happy we picked this tour out of all the options! Paul is the BEST tour guide I have ever come across! So much fun personality and just an overall great, informative guy. He really went above and beyond for us. Even after the tour ended, he recommended some fun things we do on our other days on the island. I'd give him 100 stars if I could. :) The tour itself was beautiful! We did the 10-hour tour and it's a perfect intro to the island, especially if it's your first time to hawaii. It's worth it.

1st thing, our tour guide Paul was the most interesting, fascinating and had the most hawai'i knowledge ever! Amazing trip around the island. Enjoyed the entire trip and appreciated Mr. Kim as our driver. Provided lunch was great! Worth every penny.

Kainoa and Captain Tyler! What a great team to lead a beautiful full day tour. I saw so much and had the opportunity to grab some amazing photos. I would definitely recommend this tour if you want to see A LOT - but make sure you are well-rested. My favorite part was the arboretum. So gorgeous and magical. Kainoa was super knowledgeable and I was excited to listen to him the whole time! He made leaf cranes for guests who were celebrating which was a really sweet touch. He was super patient with these two guests who were constantly holding the group up - customer service at its best, truly. I've recommended this tour to several of my friends who will be in the area soon and hope they are lucky enough to end up with Kainoa and Tyler.

We took the Diamond Head Crater hiking tour. Our guide, Greg, was great - knowledgeable and entertaining. We were picked up on time and arrived at Diamond Head before 9am. Greg commented it wasn't as crowded as usual, likely due to the early morning rain. All I can say is if that wasn't crowded, I definitely would not want to be there when it was! I would not classify the "hike" as a nature experience due to the mass of humanity. (Looked like ants climbing up a hill!) About two miles round trip but it is a climb. I brought my 35mm camera with me but could have left it at the hotel. I thought the group size of 24 was a bit large, although Greg handled it very well. Tour guide = 5 stars; overall experience = 3 stars.

The biggest highlights for us were the Byodo-In Temple and the Dole Plantation. We were originally going to drive ourselves to these places, but we were so glad we ran into the vendors on the street instead. Some of the stops didn't quite meet our expectations, but for the price (especially with the discount), it was well worth it. However, the real heartbeat of the tour wasn't even the sites--it was Neo and Ryan. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the island, and their presentation was filled with heartwarming honesty, real facts, and no sugar-coating. They made sure to include everyone in the conversation, which showed such genuine care for the guests. We absolutely loved them and would tour with them again on any other adventures. I highly recommend taking a tour with Neo and Ryan--they will absolutely make your time worthwhile! Love from L. T. and family.

My partner loves turtles, which is why we were so eager to find a memorable experience during our next trip. We found the Living Ocean Tours Turtle Canyon experience through Viator and paid about $80/person which we felt was incredibly reasonable. We saw prior reviews stating that the best time to go is early morning, so we decided to take the first boat out. This was honestly a pro tip as we were not only one of three small groups on the boat, but were also the first boat out to the canyon making the experience feel intimate and memorable! We met the amazing crew who were so knowledgable, friendly, and safety-savvy. The ride itself took about 15 minutes each way. Once we arrived, we felt totally confident swimming out with the provided snorkels, life jackets, and flippers after completing the safety lecture. The crew also emphasized protection of wildlife, instructing us to do our very best to stay 10 ft away or more from the turtles. At times, the turtles would come close to us without our knowledge, so we were also instructed on how to gently swim away when this occurred to maintain safe distance. We spent about an hour and a half total in the water, which was more than enough time to see loads of turtles. When it was time to return, we enjoyed complimentary snacks and drinks on the boat. Thank you Living Ocean Tours for providing us with the experience of a lifetime! We would recommend Living Ocean Tours to friends, family, or anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, and immersive turtle viewing experience!

None of the other guides from other companies got off their boards, let alone free dove 40ft to try to get the reef shark to leave its rock so everyone could see it. She also provided many of our crew with their own free dive instruction so that they could try as well. Amazing trip, amazing sights, even better crew!

You take a boat out from Waikiki to the submarine and then climb down into the submarine and go underwater. We went more than 100 feet below the surface. And honestly, it was just SO COOL to be sitting in a submarine under the ocean. I've snorkeled and scuba dived before, but this felt completely different. You're actually looking out the windows and watching fish swim by while you're moving along near the ocean floor. We even got to see the artificial reefs and sunken airplanes and ships that have become homes for marine life. The guide was really friendly and pointed out things to look for as we moved along. He also had many, many puns. I also really liked this because you don't have to get in the water. You get the underwater experience without snorkeling, scuba diving, getting covered in sunscreen, or worrying about what you're going to do with your stuff while you're swimming. It felt safe and comfortable and easy. I wasn't expecting this to be my favorite activity of the trip, but it absolutely was.
