I cannot say enough about Dr. Akopians and her incredible team at Beverly Hills Reproductive Center. After years of heartbreak, multiple failed IVF cycles, and being dismissed by so many other doctors, she is the one who finally made my hopes and dreams come true. I decided on March 1st that I wanted to go through an egg freezing cycle, and Dr. Akopian's team wasted no time getting things started. I had my first consultation on the 5th and was ready to go before my cycle began on the 15th. Talk about excellent patient care--I am OBSESSED with their team! Seriously, I want to be friends with them. Ninette, from the finance and the operations side, is incredibly organized and thorough. She clarified all the financial details in a way that was easy to understand and digest. Julia and Miriam are AMAZING nurses. They have the best bedside manner I've ever encountered. I have veins that like to "jump," but these two took excellent care of me, making the frequent blood draws as easy as possible. Dr. Akopians is extremely thorough. She explains everything in great detail, walks you through the process in person, and ensures you have all the reading materials you need to review too. I have PCOS, so Dr. Akopians was really diligent with my meds. She didn't want to overstimulate me and honestly, I barely bloated thru out the process because of her correct dosage suggestions and nurse Julia making sure I had a high protein diet in place. I originally planned to do this later in 2025, but after realizing that this month was my best chance before the Fall, I'm so grateful for the support and care this team provided throughout the entire process. This was the most compassionate and caring fertility center we went to during our journey seeing about 8 different places. We wish the facility was closer to our home as we would have liked to continue trying here. We were not successful in our journey at any facility, but we had the best results and best care here. The nurses are fabulous and very kind. It really makes a huge difference as you are going through this process. Julia was always so nice and Miriam saved me through this process several times on the phone with me going over how to inject the medication. I cannot overstate how exceptional Dr. Akopians and her team are. They are kind and welcoming. I froze my eggs with her and the experience was terrific. They do a great job of guiding individuals through the various aspects of fertility. First, I had a 45-minute consultation with Dr. Akopians where she explained the entire process, the risks, rewards, side effects, and possibilities of egg freezing. I took notes and was well informed. Next, I started taking medication to stimulate the follicles in my ovaries where the eggs are found. I went to the office every two days for blood work and an ultrasound. My follicles were growing and Dr. Akopians would explain the images shown on the ultrasound. Later in the day, one of the members from the team would call me to share my blood test results and advise me of which medication and the units of medication to take. They checked in with me constantly to see how I was feeling and make sure things were going as planned. Then, I went to the operation room for egg retrieval. I was sedated and it was a quick process. The next day, Dr. Akopians called me herself to check on me to see how I was feeling. A few days after egg retrieval, I had my final appointment in the office for blood work and an ultrasound to make sure my estrogen levels were coming down and my ovaries were shrinking back. Again, Dr. Akopians and her team asked me how I was feeling. Later that day they called to share the results of the blood work. Dr. Akopians shows care when dealing with her patients. I always felt like I had her undivided attention and she was focused entirely on me. She put my needs first, as did all of the team. I felt like there wasn't anything to worry about. The atmosphere of the office is intimate but also soothing and calm. It's decorated nicely and smells lovely. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Akopians and her team. I came to her after two unsuccessful IVF cycles elsewhere, feeling dejected and frustrated. I was planning on having consults with at least a few doctors before choosing a new one, but I was so immediately impressed with her deep knowledge and compassion, I never interviewed anyone else. Dr. Akopians always treated me like a human being and took the time to thoroughly explain my options and the protocols she was recommending. She also personally called me whenever there was important news (as opposed to deferring it all to her nursing staff). Unlike my previous clinic, she never pushed me to use donor eggs, which I really appreciated it. However, I felt like she was always very honest with me about what she recommended as opposed to giving me false hopes. This may all sound like table stakes, but none of this is a given at other clinics. All of her nurses, particularly Julia Fletcher, are amazing as well. They were super kind, responsive, and just lovely to work with. IVF is an exceptionally emotionally and physically grueling process and they operated with that awareness in mind. While I don't miss the IVF process itself, I do miss Dr. Akopians and her team. After three failed IVF cycles at a different clinic, my husband and I met with Dr. Akopians to discuss our options. Immediately, we could feel that there was a huge difference in the care she would provide compared with what we had previously received. She is compassionate, and at the same time has a deep understanding of the science of IVF and how to proceed with evidence-based research to provide the best possible outcome for her patients. We also did not feel pressured to use an egg donor like we had at the previous clinic. Unfortunately, our first cycle with Dr. Akopians did not provide any viable embryos, but she was always there to talk with us about the results, plans, and next steps. We felt fully supported by her and her team, Sahar and Julia, through what was a very difficult process. Our second cycle produced two genetically normal embryos, and I still remember the phone call we got from Dr. Akopians and Julia to let us know that we had had our first IVF success. I am now pregnant from that IVF cycle, and as I write this I can feel the little guy kicking up a storm! Going through IVF is never an easy process, but I am so glad that we found Dr. Akopians instead of giving up. Dr. Akopians is an extremely compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced fertility doctor. My case was pretty difficult, but after 3 years in treatment, we finally have our baby. I fully believe that every decision that Dr. Akopians made for us has led us to this successful outcome. She diagnosed and treated a few health issues that were affecting my fertility. Plus, I am over 40, which makes it that much harder to conceive. Though we appreciated her expertise, her compassion was what stood out to us the most. IVF takes you on a roller coaster of emotions, and we felt that Dr. Akopians was really there through every setback and victory with us, and never gave up on us. Her staff is amazing as well, namely Ninette and my nurse Mariam. They're both highly organized and made us feel well taken care of. I want to give Mariam special credit, as she really was on top of my schedule, instructions, and medications. With her as my nurse, there really was zero chance for error. Worst doctor I had a consultation who had a very condescending, arrogant tone. Dr. Akopians is not supportive towards older women and said I should be looking into donor eggs when I still have regular menses, MII oocytes that all fertilize. She gave a patronizing 10 minute lecture on fertility 101 to a client who has already been through multiple cycles before trying to sell me donor eggs. Out of all the doctors I've been to she was the most basic , textbook following, can't think outside the box consultation I've ever had. Luckily I was able to find another doctor who put me on estradiol during the luteal phase with growth hormone and I was able to retrieve 3x the eggs than before, of which half grew to blastocyst and tested normal. If I listened to her unknowledgeable arrogance, I would not have been able to find the success I have now. Do yourself a favor and avoid her because other doctors like Dr.Kuo, Dr. Meng at OC Fertility, Dr. Terrence Lee in Brea, Dr. Amin are all better than her. They also have higher success rates! read more

I came to this office looking to freeze embryos and ultimately pulled out of the process just before surgery. I saw many red flags along the way but I was on a timeline and stupidly moved forward. Red flag 1, a week before ordering meds, I'd still received zero information about the actual process other than the initial consultation. After complaining, I received an information packet that they'd clearly forgotten to give me and was told "information is normally not given because timelines change." Red flags 2-4, I talked to three different members of my clinical team as I was being medicated and having poor results (my fertility went down steeply over the course of being medicated by this team), and was told that I could just try to get pregnant or do an IUI instead of surgery. I had to remind them that I WAS NOT TRYING TO GET PREGNANT I WAS FREEZING EMBRYOS. In the end, I lost thousand on meds and have opted to start over with a new doc. I wish I'd pulled out sooner and listened to my gut but this is fair warning to anyone else. I rarely write reviews, but this is such an emotional, sensitive, and expensive process, I felt it important I share my experience. read more

Dr. Akopians is the best! She made our dreams of growing our family come true! Back story- I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve at the age of 32. I had zero symptoms until I went off birth control and started trying to get pregnant. My OB tested my hormone levels and my AMH was .09. I had 5 follicles showing on an ultrasound. We were told to go to a fertility specialist right away. I jumped the gun and went with the first fertility specialist I met with. Initially he thought I would need donor eggs but after doing an internal ultrasound with him, he saw 8 follicles instead of 5 and gave the green light to do IVF with my eggs. He retested my AMH and it was now at a .212. I did 3 egg retrievals with this doctor. After my 2nd retrieval resulted in no blastocysts- he told me that if my 2 blastocysts from my first egg retrieval weren't normal then my chances of having any genetically healthy embryos was 0. 1 of the 2 embryos was genetically healthy and we decided to move forward with one last retrieval. I asked this doctor if he would change up my protocol after my 2nd retrieval failed and it was a quick no. All his answers were in statistics which drove me and my husband nuts. The last retrieval resulted in 3 blastocysts and 1 genetically healthy embryo. Even though this was my best, I knew in my gut that I didn't want to move forward with this doctor. Dr. Akopians was referred to me by my OB and my husband and I decided to have a consultation with her. We spoke with Dr. Akopians over zoom, she answered all our questions and gave us the hope that we were missing from the other doctor we had. Right away my husband said we are moving clinics and going with her. We transferred our embryos and did another egg retrieval with Dr. Akopians which was our best to-date. We received 8 eggs, 3 blastocysts, 1 normal, 1 abnormal and 1 mosaic. Dr. Akopians then encouraged us to do an ERA and receptiva biopsies (which I wanted to do as well). Found out I had tested positive for endometriosis. I did Lupron depot for 2 months and started the transfer protocol right away. When we got the call that our embryo stuck and we were pregnant- I was shocked. I've never had a positive pregnancy test. We now have a healthy 7 week old baby girl. Dr. Akopians was very different from our first doctor. She called and told me the results- our first doctor had his team do it. She took the time to explain things- never rushed me off the phone or in person at an appointment. When I was doubtful or anxious she calmed me down. She is personable, incredibly smart and honest. Her and her team make you feel at home. I can't thank them enough for everything. Once we are ready for baby #2, I will be calling Dr. Akopians. read more
