I'm sad to know this place is closing June 2025 after being here for 25 plus years. We had a 12 person work dinner here as they always accommodate large party sizes and another great meal where we didn't have to worry about the menu. They brought out a little of everything. Service from the staff and owner was excellent. The wine selection they picked was great as well. I wasn't able to get pictures of everything brought out but you must visit this place before they close.

Don't let the outside deter you from exploring what's inside at Aliotta's. Truly an Italian restaurant, from the decor, music and great service. Has a balance of fine dining paired with the attention in the food like you are eating at home. We had early reservations on a Saturday night, which we were glad, as it was starting to get crowded as we were leaving. Full menu and wine list. We were served delicious bread to start and we ordered the calamari too. Calamari were rings only, but made fresh with a light batter. The marinara dip was so good. Main dishes we ordered Linguini Vongole and linguini toscana. We cleared both plates. Very yummy. We ended our meal with their tiramisu which was exactly how it should be made. Recommend! We will be back, maybe a double date so we can try more things. Also event table got focaccia bread, so we have to get that next time.

    Interesting chandelier

I went here as a final dinner because they are closing in a few days. We love this restaurant. Never a bad experience....

While craving Italian, hubby suggested Aliotta's Via Firenze. Don't let the outside fool you because the inside is kinda fancy. However, the food, not so much. For the table, we ordered calamari and Caprese. Both were basic, nothing exciting. For our main meal, hubby and I got chicken dishes and my daughter got a steak. Again, not very exciting and everything was kinda bland and cold. The presentation of the food was disappointing as well. We did wait awhile for our food, which was annoying because there weren't very many people at the time. Not sure what the hold-up was. Of course, I had to get a cannoli and a cappuccino. The cannoli shell was very hard, but the filling was tasty. I pretty much just scooped out the filling. I wasn't impressed and was not very satisfied. The ambiance was delightful but the service and the food were mediocre. I'm glad I checked them out but would probably not return.

A very nice, rustic Italian ambience with large portions of delicious food! I also got a glass of wine the size of my head. Can't wait to go back!

I went here on a Saturday night, we made a reservation but you probably do not need one. It's an authentic old school Italian restaurant with tons of menu options. I had the linguine and clams which was very good and the wine was great. Service was excellent and the owner or manager was very friendly and greeted us on the way in and out. Overall, a nice place to get some solid Italian.

Another super good quality dinner. Service was 100 as usual. Great music and lighting, and this restaurant is always clean . A+

We came here last night on a Thursday evening to celebrate my birthday. 4 stars are given for quality of the dishes we ordered- the Fettuccine Firenze and Lobster Ravioli were solid. A star is taken off for the complimentary focaccia bread that did not seem fresh. In addition, we ordered a lemon dessert gelato and was charged twice for it. Most places give complimentary desserts when celebrating occasions such as anniversaries/birthdays so was taken aback. The servers were apologetic about their mistake.

The service was amazing and extremely accommodating, the food was delicious and I loved the warm and inviting decor! I feel like the location really doesn't do it justice for how great this place is. We tried the caprese rustica appetizer, spaghetti Al Nero de seppia, and the veal piccata (they make off the menu items!). Everything was flavored so well and very well-balanced. I had a great meal. They also have an extensive wine menu for you connoisseurs out there. Definitely coming back again to try other things on the menu!

Came here for dinner with all of my coworkers. We had a reservation and they were able to accommodate 15 of us. There was plenty of parking in the lot and the inside of the restaurant had a really nice ambiance. Service was a bit slow, even though it didn't seemed that busy. They took our orders of appetizers and we got them right away but it took awhile for them to take our orders for entrees. I ordered the risotto mare which had various seafood in it and it tasted pretty good. My coworkers seemed to enjoy their food as well. The workers were kind of enough to let us stay a little longer after they closed.

It's located in a strip mall on PCH near the Dodgers mural. There was a pretty steady flow of traffic but the line moves quickly. You can look at all their pastries and tarts on display while you wait. There isn't much of an interior to sit. I tried the green apple tart, fruit tart, cream puff, and white chocolate strawberry cake. Everything was delicious, and surprisingly awesome for being totally gluten free. My favorites are the tarts, with the crust being the standout. The cake was extremely light as if eating a cloud. I will definitely be coming back. There's so much more on the menu to try out, including drinks and breakfast sandwiches, there's no doubt I will be getting another dessert to go along with it.

The drinks were solid too and paired well with everything we ordered. The whole place has a calm neighborhood bakery feel to it, and you can tell it's a spot locals come back to often.

The inside is large and spacious with a lot of seats. It's really open and has nice natural lighting and there is also a little patio area with outdoor seating. I really liked the vibes of the cafe and that alone would convince me to come back. There's a lot of various merch on display as well as house coffee beans and bottled drinks. There's also an area with board games and books to borrow. The cashier at the front was really nice and chill. He listed the different options for milk for my lattes and refilled the water tank at the end of the station after being notified it was low. I love that they had a chilled water tank that's self serve in the cafe because that hit after my run. For drinks I got a teddy graham latte with oat milk which was a seasonal spring menu item. It was topped with cinnamon which gave it almost a little spicy kick in the beginning that I was not mad about. The oat milk was so creamy and I liked that the latte wasn't overly sweet. I also got a matcha latte with oat milk for my mother-in-law. The matcha was delicious and the drink again was not overly sweet which can be the case at some other places. I didn't get any food this time but the pastries were all very temping and looked so good on display. I also saw some other customers eating sandwiches that looked hearty so I may need to make another trip here to try out some of the food. Overall, really nice cafe that I would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area!

DineLA Food & Drink Order ($15): Breakfast Plate: Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes with 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (sunny-side up) $15.95 Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte $6.95 Server/Bartender: Andrew I have been a long time fan of Kirari West Bake Shop when it opened with much fanfare as a 100% gluten-free Japanese bakery with treats that defy the common undesirable traits of gluten-free goods: dense, dry, &/or gritty. When Kirari West Bake Shop (refer to Review #290) opened sister bakery, Confections by Kirari West, a couple of years ago, I bookmarked them for a visit but didn't get around to it until I saw them on 2026 DineLA. The confections bakery also sits in King Harbor Plaza, but south of its sister between Glaze Craze & King Harbor Spa, serving all-day breakfast, burger, sandwiches, & pizzas with teas, coffees, & smoothies. According to Andrew, KWBS bakes bread for CBKW & CBKW bakes treats & doughnuts for KWBS. Still not quite understanding the difference because KWBS also serves breakfast but in sandwiches & french toasts, & paninis, sandwiches, & salads. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Initially focused solely on baked goods: artisan breads, scones, & Bake-At-Home gluten-free flour mixes, CBKW has evolved their menu to include sandwiches, pizza, quinoa bowls, & smoothies. The DineLA menu offered 3 options, & I deliberated between pancakes & chicken burger. I chose the Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes because they looked fluffy & divine in the owner pic; it includes 2 Bacon Strips & 2 Eggs (cooked sunny-side up). And picked an Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte with less ice for my drink. It was quiet for an early lunch, & a couple of ladies walked in after I finished ordering. The bakery cafe has its cozy charm with a lovely black & white mural on the right long wall that's great for selfies or social posts. There's 4 2-tops & counter seating facing the plaza/parking lot, no restroom (assuming sister KWBS will let you use theirs), & plenty of parking though it'll be challenging during lunch & dinner rush with so many eateries in the plaza. Andrew makes an awesomely refreshing Strawberry Matcha Latte that rivals those from boba shops! Balanced sweetness with earthy, grassy matcha & generous dollops of real, sweet strawberry purée... soooooo good! Though smaller & a bit pricier than boba shops, it's a top-notch drink. My pancakes came shortly after; smells great but looks nothing like the pic, not fluffy, not golden. I love eating pancakes no matter the time of day, & these Blueberry Cinnamon Pancakes had comforting notes of cinnamony warmth with random sweet bursts of blueberries. The texture is notably moist & airy, & not reminiscent of typical gluten-free foods which are dry & dense. Typical bacon & eggs, nothing unusual... I prefer thick cut bacon & on the crisper side, but the eggs were perfectly cooked, the whites were set with a runny yolk & crisp, brown edges. It was just enough to satisfy my hunger & quench my thirst. I'm lucky that I don't have any food allergies or restrictions. People with celiac disease require a gluten-free diet, & cooking/baking challenges stem from the lack of gluten for moisture, elasticity, & structure. Customers should know that Confections by Kirari West is a dedicated gluten-free bakery, so there's no worries of cross-contamination. I don't know how Chef Hiro Saito creates this tasty, gluten-free deliciousness here & KWBS... he uses high quality rice flour instead of wheat to create his delectable pastries. On 07/2025, CBKW along with sister KWBS were both designated as a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant. This means they're certified to offer healthier, longevity-focused menu options based on plant-slant & whole-food principles like those in Okinawa, Japan or Sardinia, Italy. Quality ingredients... craftsmanship... & sincerity... check, check, & check!! Yeah, I got you in my corner Confections by Kirari West! My husband had to rush her to urgent care, and from there she was sent to the ER so she could receive fluids. Watching my child go through that was terrifying. We had plenty of time to catch up, and they didn't mind that we sat there chatting together for a while. The Estiva pizza was one of the best bites of pizza I've had in a long time, and I was honestly so happy there was a slice to take home because I enjoyed it that much. Kind couple serving delicious home-style Italian food that, for me, was better than anything I've had at an elevated Italian spot in this city thus far. They're primarily a takeaway operation and less than half a mile from the beach, so the possibilities for a beachside picnic are endless. Big thank you to them for bringing this experience to the community. I hope to return with more friends and family soon.
