La cubana sandwich was so tasty. I ate it right away and hit the spot. The front desk was very friendly and it seems that most of the clients that shopped while I was there were known to him. That shows how good this place is.

this time I took some photos to show how nicely packaged the food is when you order from your Riera's place. I also wanted to show the generous portions that you get for your price. Again, ingredients are fresh and the price is very fair.

Happy 5th Anniversary, Riera's Place!! Stopped in for their anniversary special - Riera's Sub for $5. Got there around 1:30pm and they were all out of Italian Rolls. Say what? Choices were White Bread, Rye Bread or Tortilla Wrap. I chose the white bread but I was also charged $5.55. Oh well. Happy anniversary. I also ordered a slice of their Grotto Pizza that was delicious if you like onions. I love onions so it hit the spot. EDIT - the Riera's Sub is supposed to be a 10" Italian roll. I received a small bread size sandwich, which is like HALF the size of a sub AND I was charged 55 cents MORE!!! What a rip off!!! Ok, bye.

Amazing subs and wraps!! The choices of sandwiches, subs, wraps, pizzas, and desserts are endless and worth the visit. Truly, an old school staple worth visiting or bringing friends. Great professional, and friendly staff.

This used to be our go to sandwich place and we really loved it but the last two times have been horrible. The time before the bread was stale and this time the meatball sandwich consist 4 Half sized meatballs- so a whole sandwich consisted of two meatballs cut in half. The meatball sandwich costs $14 yet they sell meatballs for $2.50 each so you're better off getting two meatballs and some garlic bread and making your own sandwich. I also didn't see any cheese on it whatsoever. The Cuban sandwich used to be grilled but this time the bread was crumbly at best and had a little filling but still better than the meatball . Very disappointed and probably won't be going back even though the customer service is nice and we wish the owner well.

Decided to give them another shot. Door Dashed 5 items. Order took about 20 minutes longer than projected to prepare / deliver (driver was waiting). The $12 prosciutto sandwich was about 4 inches long with barely anything inside. The $16 deli cobb salad was missing the chicken. Absolute mess. This one is permanently off my list. Sad, because it has potential to be great.

I came across this gem of a sandwich shop today and I get an awesome breakfast and bacon sandwich! Super tasty and filling, the owner is totally cool. I'll come back and try other sandwiches.

    Turkey Sandwich

Really great for beach sub sandwiches. This is the turkey with Gouda cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. I love that they cook their turkey in house, you can tell it is fresh and has great flavor. Much better than regular grocery store turkey which can be slimy in my opinion. And the employees are very nice as well. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

[Review #829] 2024-029 Food Order: ROSIE'S SALAD (romaine, apples, candied pecans, roma tomatoes, dried berries, avocado, strawberry balsamic dressing, toasted bread), HAWAIIAN STYLE AHI POKE (yellowfin tuna, green onion, avocado, ginger, sesame seeds, shoyu sauce, deli chips), FRENCH FRIES For some reason, I didn't notice Riera's Place is in the same plaza as my fav dumpling house until last year's Elite Experience, tasting their delish specialty sub; refer to Review #788. I've been meaning to come back, but they're a bit farther out... I had an errand run nearby & called in my order: Rosie's Salad, Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke, & French Fries. While en route, the deli called regarding a POS minor hiccup with the 4 oz. side of ahi poke, & they changed it to an appetizer size for the same price. Whoohoo! When I got back to the office, my salad & poke were still chill, & I had been noshing on the crisp fries along the way. It's a salad with simple ingredients, nothing standout, but when it's mixed together, it was quite tasty & filling. There's sweetness & crunch texture from the apples & candied pecans, the dried berries added another sweet layer, & the strawberry balsamic dressing blended one final layer of sweet-tartness with strawberry flavor balancing the tangy acidity of balsamic vinegar... what a refreshing, bright, fruity salad. The poke was oh-so-fresh & melt-in-your-mouth tender. The shoyu sauce didn't marry well with the salad, so I ate it as a standalone with the crunchy deli chips. Although there was a generous serving of fries, I pretty much finished it on the return drive to the office. Nom, nom, nom... Riera's Place is in the hands of their 3rd generation, crafting flavorful, yummy subs with their in-house meats. Every meal, every bite has been damn delish...I'm looking forward to their crab cakes, burritos, pizzas, & more! Recommended: Rosie's Salad, Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke, French Fries.

This sandwich place was good. I got the tri tip sandwich, my daughter got the chicken strips and fries, and my boyfriend got the meatball sandwich. Both were delicious. We stayed there and ate at their little patio table outside. There are some countertop seats inside as well.

Barley any turkey at all in my turkey sandwich. Bummer.

Oh yah Michael… The Papa Joe’s Tri Tip Dip is definitely one of the best, but also don’t sleep on the La Cubana, Riera Special, Nonna’s Meatball or either of the Pastrami’s. Looking forward to having you next week!

Do they have gluten free options ? Or at least gluten free bread for sandwiches?

Hello! Yes we have great gluten free bread rolls. Also, our Rosies salad is gluten-free and we have great ceviche. Unfortunately we do not have a gluten-free pizza option yet. Please give us a call and we can help you out with placing an order.

The restaurant has inside seating for 40 guests and outside for 30. We arrived between breakfast and lunchtime and were able to get the last outside table. The attentive staff got us seated right away, and after browsing through their menu, we ordered the following items (arrived in 15 minutes) : Marine: The buckwheat outer layer was soft, not soggy, and with nice resistance. The light creamy tomato-based dressing with sliced mushrooms was pleasantly flavorful. Both shrimp and scallops were of good size, fresh and juicy. Fromage: Like Marine Crepe, the buckwheat out layer was soft. The mild brie cheese provided pleasant creaminess to the filling. Seasoned bacon, scrambled egg, onion, and mushroom added nice savoriness to the dish. The portions were sensible and the prices were reasonable. Very nice culinary experience.

After two nice spritz's I attempted to use the restroom only to be stopped by a server. She asked what I was trying to do and when I said simply use the restroom, she replied, "no it's for customers only." It was odd because we just spent nearly $70 there right next to where she was working, dressed like all the other beach goers that day. She said "oh" and let me go with no kindness or apology. No clue how I was identified, and it felt very profiled. But just left me feeling weird and not like I want to go back there or recommend it to anyone. In summary: Drinks and food was fine. The Machaca Scramble was the most flavorful and best tasting dish we had at our table as the corned beef hash and eggs were standard (not bad but nothing to Yelp rave about). By far the best part was the Bottomless Mimosas which are offered everyday, not just on the weekends! Big bonus! Our server was attentive and had a happy disposition. I felt Serendipity has so much great potential, between the decor, service and bottomless mimosas I'd imagine they would have more birthdays or group celebrations going on, especially for such a large space. But the vibe was a bit off with the low playing Spanish music, I would imagine if they had more pop music or upbeat music to fit the vibe of the place they'd have more of a fun vibe. Not that there is anything wrong with Spanish music, it just wasn't jiving with the vibe of the place and was so low and not so up beat (romantic Spanish ballads were playing). The laminated menus also gave an old diner vibe instead of trendy "serendipity" vibe. I'll still come back to see if they can match the vibe to the decor and try a few other menu items, but I do hope they up the ambiance. And get that extra star status!
