Friends ordered a few other things as well, and overall everything was super good. What stood out most was the texture. Everything tasted moist and well made without feeling like it was trying too hard to be "gluten-free." My mom got a loaf of bread to go and the almond brioche which she really enjoyed. I got the Burnt Basque Cheesecake, which was really good... The bakery is quite a drive for me, but I got a chance to try their chocolate brioche at the Hollywood Farmers Market and it was such a wonderful surprise. Good gluten-free options that actually taste great are hard to come by, so I was really impressed. The Blueberry Lemon Baked Donut was delicious. It was light, with a soft texture. The glaze was sweet and tart, not too heavy, but a perfect compliment to the donut. It seemed to be popular spot for hangouts as you could spot most of the guests came in a group. Not only the bakery, the kitchen seemed to be pretty busy as well with people ordering dishes from their made-to-order menu. Worry not about the line as it moved pretty quick. Their bakery did offer plenty of options from pastries, bread/brioche, as well as cakes. A lot of people seemed to talk about their brioche, so obviously right one to try as first timer. The cinnamon one was pretty decent, but might taste better when being reheated to get the nicely warm and fluffy brioche. Their Custard Puff was lovely light bite serving airy chiffon cake stuffed with not overly sweet custard cream. It was such great representation on something simple yet memorable. I don't know why people always get turned off at the idea of gluten free foods. There's really nothing wrong with them actually. If you're trying to avoid gluten and still be able to enjoy bakery items, you need to come here. I got the cinnamon roll and a blueberry muffin. Both were freshly made and moist. The blueberry muffin was a surprise with how good it was even after some reheating in a toaster oven. The cinnamon roll was decadently sweet and soft. I'd get both again. Service was friendly and helpful. The ambiance is what you'd expect: a neighborhood shop for the locals that makes everything fresh. I would have liked to have taken a loaf home, but refrained because I already have bread at home and the loaf felt heavy to me. So, I passed. What you really want are the bakery items. They do offer coffee, but I didn't get one to with me Summary: As I said, everything is gluten free and the place was clean and neat. For gluten free, you. really don't miss what you don't know is missing. This place is a small shop located in a strip mall next door to Dumpling Mix. The people were friendly and informative about their ingredients. I was delighted to be here, as it was recommended as the best gluten free bakery in town. I got their rye bread and it was delicious. This is the first gluten free bread that doesn't leave me feeling hungry and wanting more, it's substantial. They have some cafe style seating outside on their patio and sidewalk area. I love that they make their bread fresh everyday. One thing I would love to see though is more vegan options -- there were 1-2 options and was a bit bummed because everything looked so delicious. My husband is gluten free and he has long wanted to try a dedicated gf place but they're usually far. We were able to come to this place and it was awesome! But the window proudly proclaimed they were gluten-free so i figured my husband was safe. I got the ham and cheese and my husband got the chipotle egg breakfast sandwich and we were amazed! You could not tell the bread lacked anything it was fluffy and moist and the flavors were filled with love. I am not gf so i kinda forgot my husband could have a bite of mine! And he really loved it! The potatoes are soft and cooked well - slightly pickle type flavor which was addicting! We got some pastries to go - the vanilla puff (to die for) and the matcha pear tart (buttery and dense but not too sweet). We will absolutely go back soon! I was in town visiting friends over the holidays and my friend found this GEM of a spot for breakfast. Every single item is gluten-free and I was amazed at how many items I had to choose from! I've always gone for dessert after eating at one of the places located in the same plaza, so I haven't tried any of their savory menu items. My wife enjoys their coffee and my son and I love their desserts. Last time we tried their custard puffs. They were okay but not sweet enough for me. The pastry is breadlike and not enough custard inside. We've tried their basque cheesecake and chocolate brioche and those were both delicious. Love this bakery and cafe! We've been coming here for a few years now. The vegan chocolate brownie is my favorite. It's spongy and chocolatey enough without being densely decadent. The touch of raspberry is lovely- with a dark coffee, this is a perfect treat! They also sell a vegan rye loaf which I've used to make goat cheese grilled sandos and French toast. It works for both. They have lots of yummy treats but only a few that are also dairy free (cookies and a cheesecake). The staff are always really friendly and the place is kept very clean.
