Curry Chicken (Boneless) & Buss Up Shot Roti

I've seen great reviews about Ali's roti so I had to come try it for myself. I got the chicken roti - generous portion, and the chicken was very flavorful. It was great with the cabbage and potatoes added in. Would be interested to try something else on the menu!

A popular community spot with mostly takeout because there isn't much ambiance in the dining room. I was in the mood for some goat curry. Lots of food for you money. I think you will have a different experience based on when you visit because the food is premade and served on a steam table. My goat didn't have much flavor but once I ran it through the curry, wham! Flavor! Since I was one of the earlier customers things didn't get to "stew" on the steam table. I usually like my meat stews tender and this might be the case if you came later in the day. The sides were wonderful. Rice and beans, sautee cabbage, and potatoes. The later was heavy on pepper. Tumeric ran through most of the dishes. For me, the food was a confluence of Indian and Caribbean notes.

The Parking Outside is Crazy! Its been like that since the 90's. But by the end of the day its all worth the wait, the parking, the rush! I drive all the way from Providence just to get roti and then head back! Its made fresh, them women be looking good sometimes too (but that's not why I come), it's one of those places in the heart of the urban areas that fit the best authentic food on earth! Them Roti's are huge and fresh!

Ali has been serving quality food for the longest time! I recommend the chicken roti (ran out when I came by at around 7pm)

Great take-out spot w/ huge portions. Really enjoy the goat roti. They also have a 2nd location around the corner from Ruggles.

Take a note from the page of Bake's & Things in Brooklyn & offer a boneless goat roti. Easy with all the bones. Best Roti in Boston.

All were amazing so flavorful For the roti I ordered a chicken roti and beef roti. Telling the woman it was my first time here and I took tbe bus and t from Quincy she was nice enough to also give me a complimentary piece of what looks like red velvet coconut cake. Which I will be having for dessert. For a very small place the food is amazing. I will definitely be back to try some more different foods next time I go back which will definitely be soon!

There's limited outside seating in the summer but as you can imagine, during the cold season, nobody really likes to sit outside lol. I was first introduced to this place last year by one of my Trini co-workers and got in contact with the owner to place a catering order for a work event. We ordered buss up shut, curry chicken, and chana and aloo. Everything came out so delicious and full of flavor. The team enjoyed the food and asked for another catering event and so I placed an order for the same dishes and the owner Allan, worked with our budget. Allan is very friendly and accommodating. Everything was done on time and when I arrived to pick up the order, Allan and his teams helped bring everything to my car. The chana and aloo and the buss up shot are vegan friendly :) I recommend this place! (10/10)

I had no clue there was more than one Flames. I knew of the one in Providence because its close to…read moreme but I squealed when I saw there was one next to where I would be in the Boston area. My friend and I were looking for a place to get a good and filling meal before skating at Chez Vous and between the three options we narrowed it down to, this won. They have a parking lot for about 7 cars which was very convenient - street parking is also available but just more of a hassle. It smelled so good when we walked in. We tried to figure out the menu, but had some questions. After clarification, it made sense. They offer small, medium or large plates and vary in price depending on the type of meat selected. You can also add double meat or combine meats for an additional charge. We couldn't really see the food because of the condensation on the glass, but from the crevices, everything looked incredible which made it hard to decide. I would say there were about 20 different options of meats. I had never had ox tail before but I felt comfortable letting Flames do the honors of changing that so I chose that. I picked the rice with brown beans, steamed veggies, and oxtail. The really piled everything on. The prices are a bit high, with oxtail being the most expensive, but seeing that you can get two servings from a large plate, it doesn't seem so bad in the end. My friend had the yellow rice with curry chicken and cabbage salad. He also bought an Irish Moss drink which tasted a lot like egg nog. We had the food there. They have about 5-6 tables, each with two chairs, but or some reason the tables are all slanted down so just be careful of food or drinks sliding. The rice with brown beans was really good; midway through I tasted coconut and loved the sweet and savory combo. The ox tail was very tender and the sauce it was in was rich and tasty. The veggies were slightly over steamed but still good. My friend's curry was good. While eating we realized they sell patties as well as desserts; they have a case with these treats. I would recommend coming here for a freshly cooked and big meal. The customer service is also good. They had a sign on the bathroom that it was only for employees so just keep that in mind.

May I suggest the cook(s) at Morton St take some lessons an training from the Grove Hall Restaurant. Also, you give less portions on the meat than in the pass, BUT your prices are up. Last, you service experience is not the greatest. By the way, there are a lots of other negative reviews I read. Check them out.
