I switched BACK to Alive Water after a few years of trying PRIMO for Mountain Valley Water after I heard they source from Oregon spring water Opal springs which is the town's tap water. Anyway, after horrible service from Primo and no deliveries and I'm back. I got my bottles early after calling. So far happy. I think it would be very transparent to have monthly water test results on the website and have an app to track order/bottles as I had issues before with being overcharged. I'm happy so far! I've done a lot of research and the water is spring water sourced. All I care about is that it is fresh and clean. I'd rather have that than reserve osmosis tap water. read more

It doesn't taste like the fresh spring water that I've experienced, it's not bad, I just can't put my thumb on it but the quality wasn't worth the value in my opinion. Customer service is via a text number is slow, and they give the most simple responses not answering all questions asked so it's a bit of a waste of my time. The glass 2.5 gal dispenser was on the stand we bought from Alive Water. The dispenser suddenly cracked open on the bottom and leaked water all over our hardwood floor. Another quality issue at this company. Also noticed that Christopher S (initial for Sanborn, the owner of Alive Water) objected to Kamron H's post about tap water. I would note that an article in 2018 (https://www.menshealth.com/trending-news/a19546223/silicon-valley-raw-water-live-spring-water-overpriced/) discussed the source of the water. Article includes interview with Christopher in which he admits the water is from a spring that provides water for Jefferson County residents in Oregon and which they enjoy straight out of their tap. So Kamron is correct that it is tap water, but Christopher is correct that it's from a spring. Of course, maybe Alive Water has changed the sourcing of their water. Anyway - be careful with the glass dispensers. They apparently can crack open without warning. We posted earlier about how the glass handle on the lid broke off. Also dangerous. read more

Updating to help others avoid having the appalling, shameful, and health jeapodozing experience I've had dealing with this company over the past couple years. Worst decison ever!!! To make a long story short, I enjoyed their product in the beginning and even (regrettably) raved about it and recommended it to others. But in recent months, the quality took a rapid and sharp turn for the worst. I noticed with at least my last few deliveries the water had a strange, semi-rancid odor, and on occasion, I also noticed what looked like crystals floating in the water. I didn't think too much of it, and just sort of pushed through. Concurrently during this time period, I began to experience a sudden and rapid decline in my health, mind you I am an extremely health conscious individual, which is why I pay this company a premium for my water to begin with. But I kept getting these recurring (non-covid) bacterial respiratory infections that landed me in the ER on two separate occasions. I went 10 years straight without a single cold or flu, and then had 3 respiratory colds back to back within 8 months of each other. Additionally, my childhood asthma returned after being gone for 20 years, the Dr told me that it's extremely rare for this to happen. With my lifestyle, I couldn't figure out what was wrong or why I was continuously getting sick. Fast forward to last week, when my frustration with the smell and taste or my water coming to a head, and me deciding to post about it on yelp. Within 12 hours of that post I got a message from the business owner Chris, stating he'd be willing to compensate me for my past 3 orders if I took down the review, but also indicated that the issue was the bottling company needed to replace or change their bottle washing machines. (See attached screenshot). When I heard this I immediately began connecting the dots, poor bottle washing, rancid smelling water, and repeated bacterial throat infections. Needless to say I was livid! As the last few months my health has been so crappy that every day is a struggle, I've missed tons of work and generally still to this day have not recovered as I've been unknowingly drinking this tainted water every single day...clearly adding insult to injury. As I had one or two bottles left and nothing to replace them with I thought to myself, well at least now you know and maybe you can just use some water purification drops on the last open and unopened bottle, until you find a suitable replacement. As I went today to try and salvage the last bottle I picked it up and was horrified at the amount of crystaline(bacteria) growth present in the unopened bottle (see attached video). There was a small amount present when I first received the delivery as mentioned above that I mistakenly assumed was light refacting off the unique geometric glass engravings in the (~35$) glass bottles they ship the water in. But there was MUCH more of it now present after a couple weeks of sitting on my hallway floor. The bacteria had grown to such an extent that it looked like lemon pulp floating in the water. I've attached video so anyone doubting the sincerity of my review as well as the company itself can see for themselves. I am BEYOND upset thinking about my experience in retrospect as I have essentially been paying this company a premium to deliver a grossly inferior and downright dangerous product that has considerably comprismised my health. If you're thinking about alive water, think twice, as the water is truly alive ! I decided that refunding the last 3 deliveries was not enough compensation for all that I've been through, and I am requesting they refund all the money I've spend with them. While, I also feel like should go after them for the pain and suffering I've likely incurred due to their negligence, I haven't fully decided if I'm gonna go that route. How they handle things going forward will determine what I decide to do next. But the fact that they knew their bottler was poorly cleaning the bottles out and still continued to deliver tainted water to their customers is beyond appalling. After detailing my experience to them the only thing they had to say was, "we think it's soap residue". The vibe i got was one that reflected a lack of empathy and concern for my well being, especially to be coming from the business owner, insulting to say the least. At any rate hopefully this review prevents others from having to go through the nightmarish he'll I've been through. I would suggest taking your money and spending it with a reputable water provider, it will cost a bit more, but you won't have to deal with soap and bacteria in the water, on top of lifeless, slow, and often unresponsive customer service. Sad part is I really believed in this company and wanted to see them win, but I take my health and quality of life way to serious to risk it with people who reply to your concerns with incomplete sentences. read more

I just had a delivery from Alive water. The delivery guy was really nice and that's the only pro to this company. I had a sip of their water and right I noticed this is just tap water. This is not spring water and not even close to it. I think they do a good job with the design of the glass jugs that the water come in. With that being said, I would not recommend buying this tap water in a glass being passed as spring water. False advertising. The fact that I only see old reviews from years ago is a big red flag and they only one or two from a year ago is not a good sign at all. They just text you the day before and you can get your window or let them know if you'll be gone and they try to accommodate you. They will bring the water inside and set it up! Of course, you know what they say about people who have more dollars than sense. As it turns out, the "Fountain of Truth" is perfectly safe to drink. That's because it's the exact same water that flows out of the taps in Oregon. At $64 for a minimum of four jugs, that's an awful lot of money to pay for essentially the same water you can get out of your bathroom sink. Founder Mukhande Singh,whose birth name is Christopher Sanborn, lives in Hawaii, and you can find him on Instagram filling glass orbs from natural water sources trickling down over jungle vegetation, or from PVC pipes protruding from springs just below the ground. On its website, Live Water says it's sourced from Opal Springs, Oregon, a natural spring at the bottom of a canyon near the small city of Madras. So we called Jonathan Modie, a spokesperson for the Oregon Department of Public Health, to ask what kind of water "collecting" goes on at Opal Springs. Modie said that Opal Springs was fed by an aquifer that was able to meet all the standards for public consumption without treatment, and that the water was distributed by the Deschutes Valley Water District, a nonprofit utility company that's been in business since 1919. I love Live Water. The ease and convenience of the deliveries also add to their greatness. I did a lot of research before committing to a water delivery service. BPA free and not just filtered tap water was at the top of my list of requirements. Plus the glass gallons are beautiful. I prefer the taste of this water too. Wonderful Water! Rich and filled with natural magnesium and calcium. I had been drinking Mountain Valley Water for years, specifically because of the minerals it contained and its thick rich taste. An extremely healthy 94-year-old told me it was the key to his longevity and health. But Mountain Valley Water got bought by PrimaWater/Sparklettes, a huge company that siphoned off the natural magnesium and calcium probably to sell them off at a profit.. I'm sad to see some negative reviews. My family and I LOVE this water. The taste is incomparable, so delicious I drink way more water now, and the health benefits of the minerals are many, including the silica helping to keep your skin and hair beautiful. I used to supplement with collagen but now I don't feel like I need to. Everyone in the business end I have been in contact with have been lovely, maybe a tiny bit unorganized but I just text or call and they get it sorted out. The delivery people have all been very kind. For me the water is a bit expensive for my budget, but I order 4 bottles every 3 weeks and also have a Berkey as a back up and for cooking, so it works out. Actual recipient of Live Spring Water, been a member for nearly a year. I can't express enough how good this water actually is. The flavor can't even be compared to other bottles of water; everything but spring water just tastes flavorless, plastic, or completely sterile. I find I can drink much less of this water, but still feel hydrated. Also, annual (and even more frequently) I get my microbiome tested by companies like uBiome, or Viome, and I've never had any parasites or other nasties detected since I began drinking this water. I routinely get comprehensive blood tests from my doctor, and private providers like WellnessFX, and no negative markers appear as a consequence of this water.
