This breakfast coffee shop breaks the radar, not only is the ambiance absolutely adorable, but the food and coffee... also the workers were super quick and very sweet, super smiley which I loved. The space is darling. Well thought out and cared for. Unfortunately the Americano I ordered is so brutally hot that ten minutes after walking out with it I still burnt my tongue on it. The splash stick melted into a curve inside the cup. Never seen that before. I walked in not knowing what to expect and unsure if this was just another coffee shop but no not at all apparently you can get a freshly made breakfast which can be a bagel sandwich, crepes, a bowl with eggs and various things including veggies, cheese, pickled onions, pesto, potatoes, bacon, sausage and well you get the idea. There is avocado toast, Tarzan toast with peanut butter, honey, banana, & cinnamon crunch topping. The crepes well holy Nutella crepes, blues brothers crepes which are blueberry compote, sweet cream, cinnamon crunch topping and whip cream, there are strawberry crepes,and small plates and well these sweet treats like cookies, cheese danish and muffins. We were ready for breakfast and wondered into this charming coffee shop in downtown Ocala. The strong scent of coffee brewing was evident that we were in the right place. It was busy, but the line went quickly, which offered me plenty of time to view the menu. We ordered and sat in an open room with an obvious touch of rustic modern flair. In the corner, was a tall wooden shelf wedged between two black leather chairs. An assortment of books filled the shelf for customers to enjoy in addition to a rack of Symmetry shirts for purchase. The large burlap sacks of fresh coffee beans added to the welcoming and cozy ambiance. The Breakfast Burrito and the Avocado Toast arrived within ten minutes and were visually appealing. The burrito was very good (with added bacon pieces), although a very small portion for the price of $13.00 - I could have eaten three. The bathroom was clean with a partially red brick wall and the rusty pipe toilet paper holder adds an interesting touch that made the whole space feel more thoughtfully curated. read more

If you ever find yourself in downtown Ocala, this is a cute coffee shop to check out! They have a pretty basic menu of coffee selections, as well as seasonal options. I went around Christmas time so I tried a candy cane cold brew. It was very sweet for a cold brew but still enjoyable- the mint cold foam was probably the best part. This is place looks small at first but there is actually a pretty sizable backroom that's really cool and vintage looking with exposed brick, hanging light bulbs and church pews for seating. Definitely great for getting together with friends. They have a yummy looking food menu that we didn't try as we were just passing through town. Can one fall in love with an oat latte? I think so...because I have. So excited to write this review for Symmetry because ever since I stumbled upon their original location (still in Downtown Ocala) before the one right on Silver Springs, I was so impressed at the caliber of coffee shop that had become available here. One of the things I sort of dreaded about coming to Ocala over the years of visiting my grandma is that the only options seemed to be diner coffee. And hey, I like a good cup of black diner coffee--but I'm also a cold brew girl through and through. What I love about Symmetry is that they have a great selection of delicious coffee to choose from in addition to a delicious yet simple menu. My favorites are the veggie breakfast bowl, the blueberry crepe, and the breakfast burrito with vegan chorizo...oh, and the sunrise breakfast sandwich! So pretty much all of it. My coffee go-tos are the cold brew, sure to provide you with the caffeine rocket fuel of a lifetime, and when I'm craving something warm, the oat latte. Said latte that I have fallen in love with. The vibe here is fantastic for sipping coffee solo and catching up on day dreaming, emails, poetry--you name it. The team is so friendly and as I sit here in the front of the shop where everyone orders their coffee, I can tell who the regulars are by the way the team greets them by name. What can I say? I love it here. Symmetry is a gift to Ocala. On a practical note, parking is a breeze as the there is usually plenty of street parking available. Mocha is the best so far in this part of the nowhere in Florida. I can say it is 6/10. I always tell them to add more chocolate but it tastes not so chocolatey. I like the ambience here and all the baristas are welcoming and warm. It is only hard to cross the street with the pedestrian traffic taking like 15 minutes or never changes. Coffee was good and the sausage bagel sandwich was eh, nothing more special than a Dunkin sausage bagel. Was hoping for a more unique taste but tastes like a frozen, dry, bland sausage patty. Service was nice and friendly and I was greeted with a warm welcome. I was even kindly reminded that I could get a free coffee refill when I left if needed. :) The place was huge inside around the corner from the main serving bar. This is a great place to go to get work done and have meetings. I would recommend they play the music in the main area in the back room as it could help drown out the quiet awkwardness and it would be nice if they had more seats with plugs when settling in to do some work for a while to charge up. This is a don't judge a book by its cover story . Came in straight from Hawaii and needed some good coffee got a coconut late that had and it was so good! The inside was absolutely beautiful first when you walk in there is this old elegant feel then you walk further and it's a maze of beautiful and interesting art. The ambiance wasn't any better either, it looked like a warehouse. it was so empty it was the bare minimum inside. throw a carpet in there or something. First coffee of the day and I spent about two hours at Symmetry. Comfortable seating and a proper cortado. Yes, the right recipe that was half expresso and half steamed (not foamed) milk. Perfect and delicious. I have two small tweaks with Symmetry. First is that the parking nearby is metered because it's downtown Ocala. Maybe there's a free lot nearby but I didn't spot it. Second, they have a piano. Which is fine when people who know how to play start pounding on it but when people who don't or perhaps the coffee shop is completely quiet when they start, that's memorable. I had the blueberry crêpe, a latte, and a lavender black tea. This is a very cute place on a corner plenty of parking at the lot just down the block. I stopped in here because of the great yelp reviews. The crêpe was excellent. I was a little concerned about the cinnamon toast topping, but it was delicious. My only problem is I'm on a sugar high. Went here today because I was in need of a good coffee drink. From out of town and the place had good reviews. Let me just start by saying the staff was, to say the least very quit. We walked in and basically just looked at us. Not even offering any suggestions. We picked from the menu and ordered iced pecan chai lattes. One without espresso and others with. Coming from someone that owned a coffee shop for over 10 years, this was the most awful thing I've ever tried to drink. It was not pecan chai at all. It tasted like I blended up a Christmas tree and added more pine needles. But the one with no espresso was actually Ok. Not sure what happened but be careful what you order. I wanted to return them after spending 17$ on 2 drinks it was def not worth it. But at the end of the day I ordered it. Never will be back! I came here while visiting my grandma and am STILL thinking about their bomb Bagel Sandwiches. I had an eveything bagel with egg, avocado, tomato jelly, spinach, pickled onions and cream cheese. DELICIOUS! The bagel was perfectly soft and the fillings were genius. I've tried to replicate it already and can't come close. We had lattes as well and everyone was pleased. I found that their coffee was more acidic than some but still delicious. They were super busy and could have been a little friendlier. One of the better coffees I had in my road trip from Atlanta to South Fla. I really enjoyed the iced flashed pour-over Kenyon coffee I had here. It wasn't cheap at $5.50 but considering the care and attention to detail (the ice and the coffee must be weighed precisely), typical pour over price, and time it takes to make it, I get it. My wife's iced latte was also on point. Super smooth and creamy. I got the frozen hot cocoas for my kids and they were a tad bit too sweet but otherwise good. The ambiance is hip and what you'd expect at a quality in-town cafe without being pretentious or inaccessible. It's a nice place to get some work done. I'd come back to try some of the small food options the next time I'm in town. I respect a place that takes coffee seriously and is able to offer syrups (several of which are made in house) and flavored coffee for the crowd that goes for that while doing manual brews too. At the time of my visit, they used Hatchet Roaster (out of Boone, NC) for their beans. read more
