Let me start off by saying I am petrified of doctors and dentists. My biggest fear is also needles. So naturally when I had to get my molar pulled out I was terrified. That being said, this experience has been wonderful. The office is clean and welcoming and they have a rug that reminds me of Cookie Monster fur (sorry that may be morbid haha). They offer fruit and refreshments ranging from tea to water and I believe I even saw a kurig. There is a lovely little waterfall right behind the reception desk. And when you go there for the first time they walk you through the entire office and show you the different machines and rooms and such. They also leave you with a cute welcome gift c: Anyways, I went in today to get my molar extracted.I warned them of my fear of needles and they talked me through it, distracted me and made sure that it never entered my line of sight. I feel that they were extremely professional, fast and comforting c: The whole procedure last what felt like 5 minutes and it didn't hurt at all c: I highly recommend this place! And my dentist was Dr.Lou. He is super friendly and kind! He even called a couple hours later just to check up on me and ask how I'm healing up. read more

Here I am 10 years later, if you read my previous review of me canceling everything and never got treatment.Turns out that they billed my insurance,Yes you read it right!! They billed my insurance within 24hrs of me canceling!! I never followed up giving them the benefit of doubt .I put everything on the back burner till now that my dentist suggested that I get Orthodontic treatment . When they ran my insurance it came back that I've met my lifetime deductible. Being that they filed a false claim!! My insurance and I have tried reaching out to them to get to the bottom of this and hopefully get a resolution.Its been excuses after excuses from their end. read more

Ill start off by saying that if you would have asked me to rate them 1-2 years ago, I would have given them 5+ stars, they've always been my go to, accomodated dental fears with ease and provided great cleanings. However, I visited this past week and man was I left really disappointed. I got in, everything was normal at first besides the front desk stating I was there in 2021 and then later finding out in the back patient area from another tech that I was there in 2023. I didnt mind that much tbh. However, once I sat in the chair (not even discussed prior to going to the back) I was faced with a "payment package" of $200. I thought it was a promotion they were having so I politely declined before I was informed this was the ONLY way that I could get my cleaning that day. Mind you, I have dental insurance so I get two cleanings per year with that. I explained this and they said that theyve been doing this for years (again, my last visit was 2023 - I did not get prompted to pay this package back then which was confirmed by the tech and they were confused why I did not get asked to do the package). Their explanation for this package is that they charge you $200 and on your SECOND cleaning, they will reach out to the insurance company and the INSURANCE COMPANY will reimburse me. With this, they've ruined the business in my eyes. I will not be returning and I will be finding a different dental office that can work with my insurance rather than sitting me in the chair and money grabbing me before the service has even been provided. Its a shame because I really liked their business model and the way that they were approaching gentle dentle. I came back to this review to mention that after I informed them I am a college student and I cant give $200 day of (thats what my insurance is for) they proceeded to attempt to coerce me into a credit card.. I am a new patient to All about beautiful smiles and I must say that the whole experience has been very positive. Dr. SMD and her staff are incredible people! I found my first visit to be refreshing. The staff from the first call to make my appointment was very helpful and kind. They embrace you the moment you enter the office and the experience continues through the entire visit. Every staff member throughout my experience has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome, comfortable, very supportive, thorough, and showed empathy while going over my procedures and planning my next dental steps. When Dr. SMD first saw my X-rays, she said there was nothing she could do as I had a lot of bone loss in my top jaw. As she almost turned around to leave she looked at me and said I was pulling on her heart strings and wanted to see more X-rays including an MRI to see if there was something she could do. She took her time and was very calming and caring throughout her examination assuring me that everything will be ok. Daff, B, Cathy and Rosa then started taking the necessary X-rays and took their time explaining every detail. They were very supportive and took their time. They really cared and had my best interests in mind when giving me my options. They stayed very late after business hours explaining things such as next steps, payment planning, and answering all of my questions in detail. These 3 staff members are a Gem and I am so grateful for them. in addition, the Dentist Dr. SMD was extremely caring and very detailed in her explanations as to my next dental steps. Dr. SMD has a gentle and kind manner in which she approaches her patients. She really does care and has such a huge heart. She also took her time with me and answered any questions or concerns I had. I didn't feel rushed or I feel incredibly blessed to have found such expertise and superior customer service. Any five star reviews are bought.... Don't believe the ridiculous amount of reviews, this dentist is the worst I've ever experienced. No seriously, they have raffles if you leave good reviews for IPads and that kind of nonsense. On our first visit, they wine and dine you with a full survey asking for your favorite music, personal details and such so they can customize your experience then send you home with a big basket of goodies. I tell you this hospitality wears off very quickly. We stayed with this dentist for a few years, big mistake. They had multiple files on me... All with different names...so I got phone calls about my "upcoming appointments" every few weeks. They can't keep their billing straight, they'll bother you DURING the procedure asking for payment and your credit card. They've sent us letters asking for hundreds of dollars because their billing department "made a mistake"... are you kidding??? I can't plan for my families health when you send out a $900 bill for nothing! I asked them during my next appointment for our balance and they told me it was nothing... that number has changed EVERY time I call... some days it's nothing, some days it's $300, some days it's $750. I had to file a grievance with my insurance because of this and the $300 "lab fee" they attached to a crown treatment.... most dentists charge about $750 full price.. they were closer to $1200.. and that lab fee?.. it's not anything they send to the insurance, that's pure profit for them. Stay far away, go anywhere else... they'll try to get you with BS like telling you that you need a "deep cleaning" 4-6 times a year, extra lab fees and then charging for services LONG after the service date. The way these Doctors treat their employees is disgusting. Ordering them around, and NOT caring about their personal well being. After working overtime, on days scheduled off, and not working the correct position or being paid fairly. Making fun of employees for physical appearance and expecting them to treat them with respect without doing the same to their staff. I highly recommend finding another Doctor that actually cares and not just getting you in the door for money. After reading some good reviews about this dental practice i scheduled an appointment for a teeth cleaning I sat in the waiting area for over 45 minutes and waited while 3 other people who came in after me were called back to see the dentist Yes they have a nice waiting room with fruit and refreshments and they make a big deal about promoting how different they are -- give me break The only thing different about them is that they make new patients wait over 45 while taking care of eveyone who comes after them within 5 min after they come in They also mention in their BS brochure that they NEVER overbook or make their patients wait more than 15 min to see the dentist Dont believe it! Do not go here. Save your sanity and protect your health! I went in, was told I was covered for cleaning and after they drugged me up someone came in from billing and said I wasn't covered for deep cleaning. They charged 900$, and said if I didn't get it I would not be able to get my cavities filled or my crown, which was causing tremendous amounts of pain. They still charged my insurance for my regular cleaning. I was also charged 1700$ for work that was not given. In addition they charged my insurance till I had 0$ in benefits available for work they did not complete. Oh the mess my boyfriend and I got ourselves into when we made our same day, different time appointments last October.. I was covered under a different insurance at the time (I am now on his) and he had the appointment for a regular cleaning first and mine was around 2:30 that same day. He calls me during his visit and says "Hey, the dentist says I need a deep cleaning and it's only $50.. should I get it?" Since his insurance COVERED deep cleaning so told him if he wanted to get it done then to go for it. He told me she was only doing his right side. I go in hours later, and I waited forever to see this dentist. So long passed my appointment time that they didn't have time to do my cleaning. The told me that I needed sealants and that I needed a deep clean as well but quite "my insurance isn't as good as Anthony's so mine will cost way more" how much more you wonder? Over $1000 more. So I told them.. no thanks and walked out. I noticed on my paperwork when I got in the car that I was being quoted for things my insurance covers. Like a regular cleaning.. So I instantly decided that we no longer wanted to use that dentist because they just seemed a little pushy and unorganized. I actually decided to get on Anthony's insurance after this visit. (Which worked out for me anyways) Get this.. we get a bill.. in the mail 9 months later for $597. I nearly fainted! What on earth would cost that much?! I called and was told the receptionist was fired because she wasn't entering in peoples insurance correctly. The insurance denied his deep cleaning because she failed to submit the charts. She also billed him for his WHOLE mouth at $144 a quad! So I called insurance and had them take care of the issue and the front office was rude EXCEPT for Kathy. She was wonderful and felt so bad.. however, Crystal was so rude to my insurance rep, that my insurance rep called me back and said "now I feel really bad for you dealing with these people" We finally got the reclaim back and we still owe $200.. $200 for a service that I just got done at a BETTER, more patient organized and honest office staff, completely covered under the same insurance. By all means.. be blindsided by their fancy fridge of water and their cute little gift they give you.. but they charge WAY too much and are way too unorganized for my taste as a patient. read more

I saw so many amazing reviews for this place, but should have done my research before going here. Everyone was so friendly, offered me drinks/snacks, gave me a free gift and was overall super nice! The dental assistant and the dentist were very kind to me and my husband. The finance lady NOT. After going through the whole consultation I was taken to the finance office to discuss plans and payment. The woman was so pushy about me paying the money right then and there. I told her I didn't have the money today but I could ask my husband, she said I shouldn't be relying on my husband. She then harassed me to call both my mom AND dad (thank god they didn't answer). Her next suggestion was for me to MAX OUT THE REST OF MY CREDIT CARD because "it's for my health". I told her I have other things to pay and can't afford to max out a credit card over an expensive cleaning. She got hostile at this point and gave nothing but attitude. Today was my first time at this establishment. I am at a conference and had an dental emergency. My front tooth chipped. i called and received an appointment for 1 our later. i was back at my training in around 2 1/2 hrs. Dr. St. Matthew-Daniel and her staff were very friendly. She tried to go a Much cheaper route until i could get to my dentist on monday. I really appreciate that. Upon further inspection we realized that the tooth was not only chipped but cracked and if we attempted to mend it it could cause more damage and come off before the weeks end. They also discovered that the veneer on the side of it was cracked under the surface and advised me to take it easy and have it checked immediately as well when I returned home. The temp specialist was on point, if it weren't for temp material you works but be able to tell the difference. she gave a price before the treatment was performed. Dr. St. Matthew-Daniel made sure i understood the price before the work was initiated. The only complaint i had was i did not have on a x-ray vest when x-rays were performed. i just thought of that while writing this review. Being in the midst of a personal crisis my mind was on my mouth. lol.However, that is a Simple fix, i would suggest the Vest if i had to do it all over again. Tried to get financing, never missed a payment with anyone!! I have a couple medical collections that just showed up from an attack from wild dog in 2017. I came back declined for major work. Most ridiculous office of any kind I've been to in all my days. First off, they present well with a nice office and complimentary drinks with a fruit if you'd like...but it's all downhill from there. They will tell you that you need more than what you need and they charge far higher for services than other offices. They will also go as far as lying to you about it when asked about each procedure as well as lying about things they don't truly understand like the radiation exposure you receive from a panoramic X-ray. Yes, I've had these experiences here. Not one employee, including the dentist owns English as their first language. That may be a plus for many people as it shows the possibility of a higher learning for them but when their accents are so thick that you can't understand what they are explaining about your treatment and what you "need" done, it makes the consultation very difficult and uncomfortable...especially when they keep trying to ask you about things that have nothing to do with your treatment in order to divert your attention to their ridiculous costs. So for me, apparently my insurance did not pay for their cleaning services so they offered me a $97 cleaning with x-rays and a take-home whitening kit...this is extremely high-priced as you will find most dental offices offer $27-$57 first time visit cleanings with x-rays. However, this story gets much more crazy. I went ahead with the $97 offer since my schedule is tight and I was already there plus I had already spent a lot of time filling out their first-time visit paperwork (with a ton of unnecessary personal questions) and emailed them my latest x-rays as they requested. I also work in radiology and requested that the panoramic x-rays not be taken as they are higher radiation dose than you might think and you really only need that x-ray taken once every five years. They tried explaining to me how I need the x-ray done again and how it is very little radiation to which I had to respond to them the actual radiation dosage of which a panoramic x-ray consists. They obviously are not educated in the field to which they expose their patients and patients' children. Worst yet, they don't even own a thyroid shield to protect their patients thyroid gland which is the highest exposure risk in a panoramic x-ray! No wonder there is a rise in thyroid cancer today! Ok, so furthermore on the visit...after finally understanding their pitch of diverting conversations about things irrelevant to the exam and through their accents of what I "needed" for dental treatment, they REFUSED to give me the cleaning that I originally paid the $97 for unless I got a deep cleaning with them that would cost me over A THOUSAND DOLLARS AFTER my insurance coverage! That is completely outrageous since I was given one of these just three years ago from my last dentist (who unfortunately moved out of state) and only charged a few hundred with the same exact insurance coverage! They were also very emphatic about not giving me the cleaning I already paid for unless I paid them the $1,100 for the deep cleaning! On top of that, they never gave me the whitening kit that was supposed to be included in the high-priced initial visit fee! If you want a pleasant waiting area and strangers trying to act like your friend (so you won't think about the business aspect of your treatment) this place is for you....but as far as dental care vs ethics and cost, this is the worse dental office in the history of the world. read more

My experience at this office- and the following 3 months- was no less than horrific. I had some tooth sensitivity so I hopped on Yelp, made a few calls and All About Beautiful Smiles not only had an appointment the next day but also had $25 off with a Yelp check-in! After a long wait and a very odd tour of the office, I was seated with my hygienist. The doctor finally came in and had a quick look while chastising the awkward hygienist for the x-rays. She requested several more of the mouth numbing x-rays as he wasn't able to get it quite right. The doctor finally accepted one, took a quick look and proceeded to tell me that I had 10 cavities... Wait, what!? 10? She strongly recommended that I take care of my cavities in the next week since I was leaving the country the following month. Dazed after a 3 hour dentist visit, gripping a $3,000 estimate and realizing they didn't even provide me with the cleaning I wanted, I left the office. I decided to get two second opinions and both declared that I had NO CAVITIES!!! NOT ONE! My new dentist even commented how well taken care of my teeth are. Absolutely shocking that this doctor had the gall to push me to unnecessary, 'urgent' surgery so that she could fund her new office in Dr. Phillips. Disgusting. I wish this story was over. It took her office staff 3. MONTHS. to fill out my one page insurance form, even with the corresponding information included in the same email. Even then, they filled it out incorrectly, causing the reimbursement money going straight to them. HA! I emailed and phoned that office at least 30 times. No way we're they getting my money. Dr. St. Matthew-Daniel's office is, hands down, the best in Orlando. I was greeted with a warm smile and offered refreshments when I checked in. She offers fruits, coffee, and bottles of water. I was given a tour of the office which is pristine and welcoming. When Dr. St. Matthew-Daniel met me, she explained that she doesn't just want to make money, but she has a deep passion for giving back to the community. She does a free dental day every year for those who cannot afford it. Last year she saw 150 patients for free dentistry and this year she has challenged herself to see 200. Very rarely do you go into a dentist's office for a teeth cleaning and leave feeling inspired, but that is exactly what happens when I visit Dr. St. Matthew-Daniel. I absolutely loved this dentist, which is why it pains me to write this review. I started Invisalign with them in Septemberish last year. I told them I would be moving at the start of the new year, and they said that was fine and they could send me my aligners and transfer my details to a new dentist. After moving, the communication was abysmal. I have been calling weekly for three months now and each time I am told that they "need to find out" how to get me my aligners and call me back. That would be fine, if they ever called me back! After weeks of calling someone finally texted me and offered to mail me my aligners. I sent back my new address and didn't hear anything. I call again, repeat the same "I don't know, I'll call you back" process above twice more, and then learn that they won't actually send them to me. I found a dentist in my new city to take over the case, but they will charge $4000 to do so. That's fine, as long as I can get my money back from AABS. When I asked about that, lo and behold, they don't know how the refund works and "someone will call you back"! I still have family in the area, so I'll be visiting a few times during the year. I mentioned that I'm happy to schedule appointments for while I'm there and keep it with them, as long as they can send me the aligners. They can't. I offered to have my family pick them up for me. They can't. If someone can pick up prescription drugs on behalf of someone else, why can't they pick up some plastic teeth? I could have done this online for half the hassle. When I pick them up myself I walk in, take the box, and leave. What is the difference if I have a family member do the same? I was so excited to have nice teeth and this has turned into a nightmare. My experience started with the great receptionist, that took my call for a first time appointment. She was great and scheduled it very easy. On my appointment date I was greeted by Amanda, she was the assistant that took my xtrays and explained me what is going on with my teeth. My procedure was to extract 2 upper wisdom teeth and a broken one at the gum line. It was a very scary thing for me, which was the first time time having an extraction. When Dr. Mathew Daniel walked in the room she went above and beyond explaining every single detail that will be done during the procedure, her smile and certitude gave me the confidence that I needed. Once again I was terrified, started to tremble. The procedure took like 15 minutes, when Dr. told me that it was done in couldn't believe it. Very professional, caring and sweet, she makes you feel so comfortable that you forget that you are at a dentist. She talked to me throughout the procedure and that was very calming for me. I would definitely recommend her to everyone and definitely going back myself. She even called me at night to check how I was feeling. That was very sweet of her. Being completely mortified of the dentist, it had been quite some time since my last appointment. I was referred to this dr by a friend. I finally worked up the nerve go and was not disappointed!! Con Artists!!! I was impressed with the high reviews. The staff was all very nice. They even have a "gift" wrapped with a bow and a welcome card waiting on your chair when you arrive. They take A LOT of pictures and this is in addition to the X-rays. I looked at the before and after pictures they have of past patients on the wall and was impressed and happy to have found a good dentist.... I thought. The dentist was nice and looked at my X-rays. Said everything looked good there. Then she did an exam of my teeth. She read off a bunch of numbers as she went around my mouth. When she was done she said I needed some sealants and fillings, adding "you do want to take care of your teeth don't you?" This felt very used car salesman-like. I didn't know what sealants were (not having ever had a dentist recommend them). I said I do care about my teeth and would get done whatever needed to be done. I said I might wait until January since my insurance would be past the waiting period. She then told me sealants wouldn't be covered anyway. That was my first alarm. Why wouldn't my insurance cover something I needed? She proceeded to tell me I needed 4 fillings!!!! And 10 sealants!!!!! I left with a recommendation of procedures that totaled thousands of dollars! They have a business member come out and present you with an estimate of charges and a schedule of how many times you will need to return to complete the work. In my case, this was 4 visits ranging from 2-4 hours each. This kid that was going over the charges with me was a high-pressure-salesman-type who kept trying to get me to schedule my next visit. When I refused and said I'd have to check my schedule and call them, he finally relented. I was VERY surprised that I could go my entire adult life not needing fillings and now all of a sudden I need 4! What changed? Oh!.. That's right, a new dentist! (who coincidentally is building out an office that is double the size next door to her current office, and just hired a new dentist on staff-- all of which costs money...). I don't like to write super long reviews because I think they can be less helpful sometimes, but I feel the need to explain things completely here so a reader can fully understand the facts to make the proper decision for themselves. I have had 3 dentists in the past 15 years and none of them said I had a problem with cavities or needed sealants. I found a hygienist that I loved and after a few years she moved to a different office. That is why I switched the first time. The 2nd dentist was good but eventually retired and that is why I had the 3rd dentist. Then after 15 years with the same hygienist (who always complimented my teeth- by the way) she retired. During this time I had moved across town and decided I didn't love that practice enough now that my hygienist wasn't there to continue to drive to them- hence my search for a new dentist- and this is how I ended up here. After my disappointing first visit and upon further investigation I found out that people warn of dentists who recommend sealants for adults! At this point I was very weary of dentists and did about 6 hours of research trying to find another dentist that could give me a second opinion. I am not irresponsible (sorry for the double negative, but this dentist was so bad it calls for it), so I wasn't about to let the possibility of having cavities go unchecked (despite being 99% sure this dentist was a con artist). My research included online review websites, medical degree background info, state board violations, and "phone interviews" with receptionists. ALL of the dental offices I spoke to said that their practice did not believe in sealants for adults. I knew I would have to pay out of pocket for a second opinion since I'd already used up my comprehensive exam visit on the crook. I didn't want to taint my new dentist so I only told them that I was uncomfortable with my last dental experience and wanted a second opinion. I did not show him my last report, but I did send the X-rays, hoping that would save money. My new dentist did a new set of X-rays anyway (at no charge). He did a comprehensive exam and said I did not have a single cavity and certainly did not need sealants. My suspicions were confirmed: Dr. St Matthew-Daniel is a con artist. This is really a shame because she seemed nice enough and had the potential to build a great practice with good customer service, on legitimate dental business, but being unethical and recommending unnecessary work to the tune of hundreds or thousands of dollars may make her some money now but likely cause her to fail in the long run. Oh, I almost forgot to mention: her office has called me THREE TIMES! since my first (and only) appointment with her to say that "the doctor wants to know when I'm coming in for my procedures"... because I had several cavities that need to be treated or else they could get worse and require a root canal. I recently visited Dr. St. Matthew-Daniel for work that involved a root canal. I was pleasantly surprised that the procedure was painless and done in a timely manner. Right after that my wife had an emergency with an implant that had been done years ago by another Dentist. We went to Dr. St. Matthew-Daniel again and got immediate relief.
