They installed and we noticed after they left large space between countertop and the backsplash and several chips out of the quartz. I called the company and they sent the installers back. They said they would discuss with their boss and get back to us what they could do to fix it. We didn't hear from them so after four business days we called them. Owner had an attitude said our walls weren't straight. My husband asked the owner how many perfect walls he had seen. His answer was none. Which is true that is why we assumed they came and took laser measurements to insure a custom fit. The owner blamed the bow in our wall and took no responsibility and refused to fix the problem. My husband is a contractor so he knew that was not a good excuse. the owner hung up on him. I called back and asked why they didn't tell us they were having a problem getting it to fit to see what we thought and he hung up on me too. I definitely would not recommend these people!

They have a beautiful selection of stone to choose from that will fit most any budget. I'm extremely impressed with their craftsmanship; pre-cut to fit perfectly; smooth, shiny surfaces; level, tight, unseen seams. This area is fortunate to have such stone craftsmanship available! They show up when promised, prepared, clean and efficient. I can't say enough about these folks other than we're lucky to have them.

Jessica is an excellent receptionist and truly does try to fix problems and setbacks. Their selection of quartz and marble is good. The worker that drew up the initial template did not do an accurate job and did not account for outlet height. We should have been informed that we would first need to remove the window sill trim and move the outlets in order to allow for the backsplash. The company outsources its work. The installers arrived at 8:30 pm instead of 2:00 pm. They could not finish the installation since the outlets and trim were in the way. Nothing was sealed. The dishwasher was not attached to the countertop. They left at 12:30 am. My husband had to move the remaining quartz left in front of the house downstairs. I cleaned up under the sinks. We were all exhausted. We hired a handyman to fix the windowsill and outlets. The installers wanted to charge an additional $250 to return and finish the job. Jessica helped with this and had a company member finish the task. He used the wrong sealer and chipped the side trim. He did come back a second time to use the correct sealer. Jessica again helped with this. Our handyman came to install the new trim. He was not happy with their installation. He noted the following errors: outside GFI cover had been broken and electrical outlet ruined due to first installers carelessness, bad seam on sink installation, drilled too large a hole for faucet, dishwasher had to be attached using epoxy and trim was chipped off. Handyman fixes and supplies ran me an additional $300. The countertops are a huge improvement in what was there before. Jessica is an exceptional receptionist. It's a new company and I hope that they will have their own installation team. Outsourcing work doesn't always work out for a company's reputation. For my part, I should have rescheduled the first installers when they arrived at 8:30 pm. Lesson learned!

We were given a 4 week time frame for completion, but it was a full 10 weeks before the counters were ready to install with no word from Preston or Home Depot about the delay. Unfortunately, the original template was done incorrectly and the stone cut incorrectly. The seams on the upbar and lower counter did not match, nor did either one match the corners on the wall. Nevertheless, the installation crew spent a full day installing it and tried to pass it off as acceptable. We immediately contacted Home Depot who then contacted Preston to fix the problem. It was several days with no contact from Preston. We tried to contact the manager of the stone department, but never did hear from anyone from Preston until they sent the owner of the installation company and someone to re-template. The templater pointed out significant errors in the original template and criticized the installation crew for knowingly installing an improperly cut stone, yet they sent the same company out for the second install. It was another 7 weeks after the original installation before the counters were re-done for a total of 4 months. Not once during the entire 4 months did ANYONE from Preston management contact us, even after multiple emails voicing our complaints with the quality of work and the extended delays. The second round produced a barely acceptable final cutting with a sloppy installation of the sink (glue seeping out from behind the caulking as it dried) which my husband had to repair. We tried to pursue a discount to compensate for the extended delays, poor quality work, and multiple days off from work to deal with correcting the problem, but again we got NO response. Home Depot finally was able to get them to agree to an insulting $300 discount, which amounted to less than 10% of what we paid. Take your business elsewhere. This business uses incompetent crews and there is no customer service to fix their sloppy work.

I really struggled with whether to give 2 or 3 stars -- unfortunately, my experience didn't align…read morewith many of the glowing reviews. I hired Atlas Kitchen & Bath to remove a tub/shower combo and install a walk-in shower, along with a kitchen backsplash. I chose them based on reviews and the desire to support a local business. The estimate process started off a bit awkward -- the estimator (TK) arrived significantly earlier than scheduled while I was working from home. He gave a reasonable quote and said the price could vary depending on tile choice. He mentioned the shower door and head installation were included, but didn't clarify the hardware wasn't. That became a surprise \$2,000 extra later. The showroom experience was mixed. The staff were patient as I tried multiple samples, but when I asked if they had a visualizer app or site, I was told no -- only to later discover the tile manufacturer *did* have one, which they acknowledged after the fact. Why not share that upfront? Once I made my selections, I returned to get a final price, expecting a reduction since I chose less expensive tile. Instead, the price stayed the same due to "more complex shower floor tile." I took the weekend to think it over and then decided to proceed. That's when I learned -- for the first time -- that they only accept cash. I had to confirm multiple times. It was off-putting and almost made me cancel the project. When I asked again during contract signing if I could pay by credit card, I was told they had been "screwed over" in the past. That didn't sit well, since there's no protection for me as a customer if things went wrong -- but I reluctantly moved forward. Scheduling was not proactive. I was simply *informed* on a Friday that they'd be starting the following Tuesday -- no actual appointment made. The two installers were nice and respectful, though often worked late into the evening or arrived late despite saying they'd come early. As the shower was nearly finished, I was asked about the curb top. I had no idea what that meant -- they'd told me they would choose a complementary option. Apparently, nothing had been ordered. I ended up finding something myself at Lowe's that they installed. When the work was declared complete, one of the installers said, "I need lunch" and left -- without completing a walkthrough. Upon inspection, I noticed unfinished drywall/paint, nicks in the wall, a shower door that didn't fully close, scratched tile, and some damage to items in my garage. When I reached out, I was told I should've addressed it when they were here -- but I wasn't given that chance. One of the installers returned unexpectedly the next day while I was on a work call. He fixed a few issues but left others undone. When I followed up again, they said someone named Ozzy would come inspect. He's praised in other reviews, but I hadn't met him. When Ozzy arrived, the first thing he said was "I'm here for the check." I asked if he was here to inspect, and he said no. After I explained the outstanding issues, he offered to deduct \$150 for the damaged items in the garage -- then asked if he could *have* them. I was so frustrated by that point, I just gave them to him along with the check. Both the shower and backsplash look good overall, but the experience was far from smooth or customer-focused. I'm still repainting my walls and living with scratched tile. If I could do it over again, I wouldn't choose Atlas. If you're considering them, I hope my experience helps you make an informed decision.
