I came in lady is nice, but when i'm about to get my hair done i was beside another lady, so i'm trying to do something for my hair and told them what i want this lady beside me laugh so is my hairdresser... because apparently they can't do it. But they still proceeded. When styling i think the hairdresser is struggling to style me so she is literally talking shit about my hair to the other hairdresser. I went here after looking at good reviews. I had extremely long hair. It was to my butt easily. Obviously it was time for a cut. I told them 6 inches off but most mid back which was about 8 inches. At the end I'm shown my hair and my heart dropped. I was so in shock I didn't say anything. I just paid and left as soon as possible. They cut a full foot off and my hair is to my shoulder blades. If you knew me you'd know my hair is everything to me. It gets so long because I hate getting it cut because I can't find someone I trust yet to do it regularly. I can safely say All About Hair is NOT trustworthy for me. They cut off double than what I asked even when I clarified that it was only 6 inches during the start of the cut. I even showed a picture of that I wanted. I'll show that screen shot and what I got. I will never return. I know it's a lot but I actually cried that whole day. Nastiest place ever. The hair dresser pulled her shears out of the drawer and there was hair all over them. I wasn't getting my hair done, my cousin was and I ask "those are dirty you aren't going to clean them" and she said "what are you state board or something" Ik she meant it as a joke but her area was so dirty. read more

Tried coming here for a haircut but the lady said appointment only, but here on Yelp it states that it is not. I felt like they were just being lazy because it was almost 5pm on a Saturday afternoon on Valentine's day. My daughter came in from college. She wanted a perm, so we made an appointment. We showed up for the appointment, but the stylest never showed up or bothered to call an cancel it.she waited 45 minutes , then was told you might as well go we don't have any openings in their schedules. They did not bother to try to reschedule for later or tomorrow or offer a discount for our troubles. That is the rudest I have been treated by anyone in the service industry. read more

I'm in the navy so I moved here recently, I've lived in California my whole life and had my hair done by the same person since I was 5. And after having 2 terrible haircuts on base let's just say I was skeptical about anyone touching my hair. But the staff was really friendly! I've gone twice both as a walk in and they fit me in very quickly, and the past time I got a dye and the stylist knew immediately what I was looking for and gave me exactly what i wanted. :) read more

Horrifying experience at this salon last November that ended in the most botched cut I have ever experienced. I came in with multiple pictures of myself sporting a short shaved pixie haircut I have received at other salons with no hassle. I have been told it is an easy cut and I expected my experience at All About Hair to be just as simple. I told the stylist exactly what I wanted with words and pictures, let her know that once my glasses were off I wouldn't be able to see her cutting because of my bad vision, and that I was soon to go on an important trip so this cut had to perfect. Immediately as she started cutting I could tell something was wrong as she didn't pull out the shaver and hair started to come off in small batches with scissors. I requested she stop and give me my glasses but the damage was done, she had literally butcher one side of my head with uneven layers nothing like I showed her in my pictures. I told her what she did and she gave multiple excuses about how she didn't feel right about shaving my head and cutting my hair so short so she had decided to give me layers without consulting me. She said I would like this better and to just wait; I said no way, asked her to do what I had wanted to begin with. Meanwhile two of the other stylists sat watching us and giving her unhelpful advice laughing about how I wanted a Miley Cyrus cut not what she was doing to my hair. I sat horrified as she tried to correct her mistake and then I told her to just make it even and to let me leave. She finished me up and told me to come back after my trip so she could fix it, to pay her now and she'd finish the cut later. I was so in shock I paid her and to this day I regret doing so. I am reminded of this experience every time I go get my hair cut and when my glasses are off as I sit in a salon chair I get scared of a repeat experience at other salons. Thankfully that hasn't happened, but everyone who does my hair wonders about the short and uneven portions that are still growing back as they help me attempt to hide the mistakes made at All About Hair. Went here and after i got highlights, the stylist keep saying "oh I am sure it will be fine if you aren't in bright lights. I'm sure nobody will notice."So the manager re-did it and it actual got worse. I had to have it re-done by a REAL salon. Never again! Stylist was very pleasant but vanity was more important. I was thrown under a dryer and forgotten while another would check on me from time to time, I then found out another stylist was helping her with makeup in the back while I was left under the dryer. I have been going to this salon for multiple years and I mean multiple like ever sine it has housed a salon the last time I had my hair done I specifically told the stylist I had thick dry hair that bushed out the shorter it gets and to leave the length in the back. I hardly ever get a blow dry because of that fact and of course my hair being wet I did not notice until it dried later that she had whacked my hair in the back not all of it but the outer portion about 2 inches shorter than the rest causing it to poof out horribly from my head (WTF) It was so bad that two days later I was in Money Man Pawn in Summerville visiting some former coworkers when an employee I didn't know said " Damn Girl when you gonna let me cut your hair". I asked if it was really that bad and he just made a face and walked off. I asked one of my friends if he really cut hair and he said sure he does he cuts most of ours. This isn't the only time I have been disappointed it seems that over the last 2-3 years the caring attitude and quality of workmanship in this establishment has drastically gone down hill. Just the other day my husband went in around 10am there were two stylist that he could see and 0 clients in the building all he wanted was a haircut which takes about 10 minutes and he was informed he would have to come back at 1:30pm, now even if they were expecting clients with appointments I am being quite literal when I say his hair only takes about 10 minutes and I am sure they could have squeezed him in - if not before the clients got there then absolutely before 1:30 that afternoon, needless to say he got his hair cut elsewhere and they had him out the door 20 minutes after he walked in it. read more
