I am one of those people who tried to bleach hair at home and ended up frustrated and heartbroken. It ended up orange and rusty. I am so glad that me and my husband ended up finding Le Salon. The owner and her daughter is so kind. Gillian explained precisely what needs to be done on my hair the way I will understand and what she can do or be done to my hair to get out of the orange tone. They transformed my hair from orange to having beautiful ash blonde highlights with some cool caramel tones. I was expecting that I will be charged more because of how it turned out but not at all. Stopped in to see about a quick haircut. Was told someone would be right with me. Sat and waited for 15 minutes while everyone talked politics. They are Trumper's which is whatever. To each his own. When I was finally asked how I could be helped and I said I needed a haircut I was told they only take appointments. How hard would it have been to let a potential customer know that walk-ins aren't taken. 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back and a bunch of bs talk. My partner and I were looking for a salon while traveling, and came across Le Salon here on Yelp. Since it had good reviews we decided to give it a shot - him for a men's haircut and myself for a coloring. I tend to get a bit nervous going to new salons since I've had some bad blonde-ing experiences, but Carol (with some great help from her daughter) was absolutely amazing!!! She evened out a few bands I had from a previous stylist, and got me to an amazing, even platinum color (from very dark brown hair). What was even more impressive was she did this in 2 hours flat - typically I spend twice that long in the salon to do the same thing. With 40 years of experience, Carol is a rock star stylist. She gave my partner a stellar haircut as well, and both together were for a super affordable price. Everyone in the salon was really friendly, and it was a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. Wedding day hair was done here. There were 3 of us, me, bridesmaid, and the bride. All the stylist were wonderful. They made the experience fun, relaxing and so special. We were greeted first thing and offered a beverage. The wait wasn't long at all since we did make an appointment ahead of time. Even though it was only a few days prior they made sure to fit us in. We showed pics of how we wanted our hair done and the team went to work. It was a great team effort. All of our hair turned out fabulous! Even near the end the bride was hungry and they had snacks on hand. Couldn't have asked for a better place for all of us to get our day done for the special day. After going to several salons that do not do that, we were told to go to Paul Mitchell school, which we did. I asked if they did roller sets and comb outs and they said yes. After 3 hours, I went in to find my mother with rollers out and ready to go, NO COMB-OUT!!! I called LE SALON and Carol told us to come on in. Oh my goodness! Let me preface this review by stating I don't really get hair cuts. I find them expensive and mostly unnecessary, but let's be real. I can't cut my own hair. So usually when I'm desperate, I just run to whatever Supercuts chain place near me. Well today I decided I was going to lose several inches of hair, Its hot down here y'all! And I wasn't up to trusting the shears of any old chain. I yelped, I googled and out of many I found Le Salon. It's super close to my house and all the reviews are positive. Back to Oh my goodness, I called to see if they had room for a walk-in and was answered with giggles, the staff had just finished lunch and were enjoying each other's company. The owner Carol, who answered, told me to come by and they'd get me. She treated me like a friend over the phone, not all uptight and formal. So I went! The store front is a little sketchy, I'll admit, but inside was like a magic garden. Lots of plants, gauze draped between the stylist's chairs and the hair sinks... this is right up my alley. Anthony was my stylist and what he did to my hair was magic. I'm known for my tangles, and Anthony just whipped my hair into shape with gentleness and experience (21 years to be exact). A few regulars came in behind me and the mingled conversation of everyone was interesting and relaxing, instead of the awkward single syllable chit-chat I'm used to when I get a trim. You can genuinely tell that the stylists enjoy working together and enjoy what they do. And to top it off, the cost was $15. I had my hair washed, I lost like 8 inches of hair and Anthony blew it out, just to make sure it wasn't behaving wonky. Is this real life?? Usually I'll drop $40 at the chain for a TRIM!
