3 stars for Dr. Pazzi 1 star for caring for exotic pets The office seemed really busy this Saturday morning. There were 2 front desk assistants who were fielding calls, paperwork and check ins. We got there early as requested (10:45am) but didn't head back to the exam room until about 11:20am. Our pet saw Dr. Pazzi (pronounced Paw-zee) who was a very relaxed, down-to-earth, free-spirit type of person. She answered all of our questions and did not rush us. Although this was my first visit and I have nothing else to compare to, prices seem reasonable. $58 for exotic animal exam. $38 for lab test. We'll see how much meds/treatment cost if needed.

A little altered but here is one of our 6-month old babies

Love this place for vet service!!! Dr. Zucca is the best! Very knowledgeable and great bedside manner! My daughters GSD had a (unplanned) litter and she was superb with helping us through the pregnancy and shelling process. Happy to take my pups (I kept two of the puppies) back there for check ups and they love to see our GSD family. Thank you for all you do!

New client experience : Two thumbs Down…read more I was interested in visiting this office because of the free first consultation & my annual responsibility, to pick up a year's worth of flea and tick medication (Bravecto or a prescription from chewy). I MENTIONED THIS CLEARLY TO EVERYONE I SPOKE TO. - Initial nurse was a total sweetheart, young and full of spirit - Doctor walked in jittery and sped up like she was trying to calm down from running - Speaking to me that way was super uncomfortable & condescending. When Doctor Susana Marshall DVM asked me about all the ways i was taking preventative measures for my pup, I knew that she had not reviewed any of the information that was gathered by her nurse receptionist on top of the eight years worth of health certifications and documents i brought in correct order since 2015. Up sold for 90% of my 15 minute visit on future vaccinations, future rehabilitation centers and given information I didn't ask about. My dog has been on heartworm preventative for eight years somehow I was charged $100 for a heartworm test that came back negative. After realizing i was charged $410 in the midst of everything happening so quickly I realized later, I left without the flea and tick medication. The only thing I came for. I called that day. No one answered. I called the next three days playing phone tag with this foul mouthed & disgusting attitude filled person named Joan. I told her I prefer to speak directly to the doctor not to waste time however Joan was confident she could help me. She couldn't infact help me & showed more interest in provoking a polite turbulence over the phone. Her energy is passive aggressive & instigative. She hung up on me without saying goodbye on our last chat which says a lot about a person's character, let alone a receptionist. I was calling to see if my second puppy was in danger from being around my first, since I wasn't told to keep them separated. But that one was infected? Overall, it was very cute to see his name on the welcome sign coming into the vet, but I would not recommend anyone supporting what's going on at this clinic. As I said on my last phone call with Joan, if I didn't hear from the doctor by the end of day, I would be opening a claim with my bank and that is exactly what I have done. They have 45 days to respond and I'm sure they will Not because they did the wrong thing and want to rectify - but because they want to avoid a negative chargeback score people! Businesses look really bad when they have chargebacks to banks so they will try to negotiate with you (the client) as if they didn't do anything wrong. They stand on very little morality and no humanitarian grounds. I will be filing for a full reimbursement. Ps. The eight years worth of medical records are completely out of order. Torn folder is destroyed and the receipts are Unstapled. It's going to take me a handful of hours to put everything back together.

He is compassionate, thorough, and genuinely cares about his patients. I've also had good experiences with one or two staff members, but unfortunately my interactions with much of the rest of the staff have been disappointing. My dog, Bodhi, had surgery at RAMC in July 2025 to remove several lumps. During surgery, Dr. Singh found another lump within the same incision site, removed it, and didn't charge me for the additional removal. I truly appreciated his thoughtfulness and care. At Bodhi's bandage removal appointment, a younger male technician handled the visit. I asked to stay with my dog, and he agreed. The bandage was adhered tightly, and although he initially used adhesive remover, he quickly became impatient and began ripping the bandage off. Bodhi was clearly uncomfortable, and I left wondering how he would have been treated if I hadn't been present. I returned in September 2025 for another FNA, and once again Dr. Singh was excellent. In early June, Bodhi needed another FNA. Because of my previous experience, I requested that the same technician not handle my dog. Dr. Singh understood my concerns and was very reassuring. A week later, Bodhi was diagnosed with lymphoma. After discussing my options, I initially considered less invasive treatment before deciding on palliative care. Dr. Singh had advised me to stop Apoquel because lymphoma was suspected, so Bodhi spent nearly two weeks suffering from severe itching while I weighed my options. I contacted the office to ask about Laverdia, an oral chemotherapy medication. I was told they had spoken with Dr. Singh, ordered the medication, and would contact me when it arrived. They also recommended seeing an oncologist, which was difficult because appointments and callbacks took several days. I never received a follow-up. After six days, I reached back out because I had no choice but to start Bodhi on prednisone due to his worsening itching and enlarging lymph nodes. In that same email, I also requested refills for his prednisone and gabapentin since I was only given a 22 day supply. Again, I received no response. Maybe they eventually would have answered if I had continued calling or emailing, but by then I had lost confidence in the staff. I was left wondering whether I would have made different treatment decisions had someone simply followed through with the communication they promised. Aside from one longtime veterinary technician, I also found the front desk staff to be cold during one of the hardest moments of my life. I wasn't expecting sympathy, but a few kind words would have meant a great deal. Dr. Singh is the reason this review is three stars instead of one. He treated Bodhi with compassion and treated me with empathy throughout this difficult process. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and follow-through from the rest of the staff overshadowed an otherwise positive experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this one was important. When a family is facing the loss of a beloved pet, timely communication matters. I hope this feedback encourages RAMC to improve so other families don't experience the same frustration during such a difficult time.

Concerns I raised about my pet's care were not met with urgency, accountability, or meaningful communication. Instead of addressing issues directly, the response felt dismissive and focused more on conflict than resolution. I also had to repeatedly request basic information and records that should have been provided without delay. Even a simple request took hours to be acknowledged, which is unacceptable when you're dealing with a living animal and trying to make responsible medical decisions. What stood out most was the lack of professionalism when concerns were raised. Instead of working toward restoring trust or clarifying what happened, the relationship was essentially discarded. That is not what clients expect when they are trusting a clinic with their pet's health and wellbeing. Every pet owner should be able to expect transparency, communication, and care that feels collaborative. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I'm sharing this so other pet owners are fully aware and can make informed decisions about where they choose to take their animals for care. They have a great mobile app that makes communication and appointment management very convenient. However, that changed when I requested an estimate for a dental cleaning for our 6-year-old Yorkie. The procedure was long overdue, and I understood there was a possibility that some teeth might need to be extracted. The estimate I received was approximately $4,300 before any extractions, with additional charges of around $75 per tooth if extractions were needed. Having gone through similar procedures with other pets in the past, I was honestly shocked by the cost. I started researching alternatives and came across Crossroads Animal Hospital. Their reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and since they're close to my home, I decided to give them a call. They provided a very thorough estimate that included all the same important pre-op and post-op care, but the total cost was around $750, with extractions priced at about $25 per tooth. I transferred my dog's records and was able to get an appointment within just a couple of days. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely caring both on the phone and in person. Most importantly, our Yorkie's dental work turned out fantastic. His teeth looked amazing afterward, only one small tooth needed to be removed, and the bad dog breath that we'd been dealing with was completely gone. Finding a veterinarian you trust can be difficult, especially after moving to a new area. While VCA offers some convenient technology, I'll gladly choose Crossroads Animal Hospital for my pets' care going forward. While I've only had two experiences with them so far, I have been impressed none the less. When you come to GRPH you get seen fairly quickly, and one thing I like is that they actually take time to check various things that VCM apparently can't be bothered to check. For example, breathing and heart rate. GRPH is more communicative about what they discover and what they propose. Also, they are quite honest when discussing dental issues and where you might need to go for more advanced dental analysis and care. The ONLY thing I don't like is that their exam rooms smell like old dirty mop water. I don't know if it's just the old building, or because they don't want to use any kind of bleach or sanitizer on the floors for animal safety. I just find that odor quite nauseating so I wish they could figure out how to get that one thing under control. If not for that, I would give 5 stars based on my recent visits.
