**UPDATE** I spoke with two of owners, Roy and Roman Jr. They have returned my money for the inspection and insured me that customers service is very important to them. Moving forward- training employees on the correct way to deal with situations is their goal. These men were very nice and VERY apologetic on the way that I was treated by their employee. Rude customer service!! (The lady inside was nice) The manager who failed my truck for inspection did so do to the window tint being too dark. He said "we have integrity". Trying to understand what was wrong I asked if the laws regarding tint had changed within the last year. The manager told me nope, it was the same. I told him the tint had not been changed within the last year and they had in fact passed my truck last year as it is today! His words to me were "funny- prove it" so when I produced a receipt showing that they passed it last year he said "you aren't getting away with it this year". Overall this man was rude, I plan on letting everyone know that this place doesn't follow state guidelines with any type of consistency. I also went to a reputable company located within 10 mins of this business with such poor customer service- my truck passed. I even asked about the tint and was shown that it is within the regulation set by the state. Not passing my truck is within their right, however whimsical their choices are- the problem is horrible customer service and complete LACK of integrity!! I gave one star because I could post and live that part blank- they don't deserve and star. read more

I dropped my car off because my air was blowing hot. Roy got my car in the garage and raised within minutes. Within an hour, my car was ready and waiting! I had the worst experience just from walking through the door at the Dickinson location 5-14-2020. I used to go to the location on 146 and always had an awesome experience. Last year I went for my inspection and found they were closed to I went to the Texas City location and had a flawless experience. Today I walked in the Dickinson location since it was closer around 2:30pm. Behind the desk was a woman who was eating which is no big deal I know people have to eat. As I walked in the door she had her Sonic in front of her and she started sucking on her fingers and said can I help you very annoyed cause I obviously interrupted her meal. I told her I needed an inspection. She said I'll be done in about 5 minutes and I need your insurance. Um no thank you! You are not touching anything of mine with your freshly licked fingers. I just said I'll just find somewhere else to go and turned around and left. It was absolutely disgusting. read more

Stopped in to have a diagnostic done on my vehicle because the engine light was on. The initial diagnostic cost $75. After checking my vehicle they could not find anything wrong with it. When asked what was the total. The owner said it would be no charge and Merry Christmas. This place truly epitomizes great customer service and the spirit of the holidays. Here is my story. Now you decide for yourself. I my opinion I have been wronged by these people out of 70.00 bucks. I was quoted 70.00 dollars to set the alignment on the front end of my truck. When I get there I hear this this set me up for the kill story about the 70 buck alignment and the old song and dance that it could cost more. I told the man not to do any work until he called me with a complete total cost involved. So he calls 2 hour later with a cost of 340.00 dollars. What crap. I called NTB Tire and battery and they quoted 139.00 for the complete job. Again What crap. When I went to get my truck they still charged me the 70.00 bucks Beware folks if you value your hard earned dollary at all. They upsold me for work on my truck. Will never go back again read more

We happened upon Cortez Auto Pros when we moved to the area 14 years ago and have used them ever since and have been very pleased. Pleased with the professionalism, integrity and customer service that is consistent EVERY TIME we go in. But I have to say that this last experience was nothing short of "going the extra mile"! Long story, but we were planning on leaving for a family wedding at 5:00 AM the next morning and our car was not going to be finished by closing time. This means we would have to wait until it was opened the next day and they finished before we could leave. Without us knowing, they stayed late and delivered our vehicle to us late that night! I took my car to the location at 517 &146, told them to replace all the shift solenoids. Two days later, I couldn't get them to answer the phone. I drove down there, my car was sitting in the parking lot with the door hanging open and one hubcap missing. They said they they had only needed to replace one solenoid and didn't know where the hubcap was. Charged me $405. Two days later, the same problems started up again. I took it to another mechanic, he said it didn't appear as if the transmission pan had even been removed. This place is a rip off. read more
