Everett's is one of those places you'd probably drive past if you didn't know it was there. It has that tucked away dive bar feel, but the food is on a completely different level. My wife and I both ordered the Everett's #2 with pulled chicken, coleslaw, and BBQ sauce. Everything just worked together perfectly. The chicken was tender, the slaw added the right crunch, and the bun tied it all together. It was one of those sandwiches where after the first bite you just look at each other and know you made the right choice. We also ordered the Saucy Rossy wings and they were the perfect heat level for both of us. Not so mild that they're boring and not so hot that you're suffering. Pro tip: get them fried and grilled. The extra texture and flavor are absolutely worth it. My wife is a total Brussels sprouts snob and she was absolutely in love with theirs. The funny part is that I'm usually not much of a Brussels sprouts person, but I kept asking for more off her plate. That alone should tell you how good they were. The fries were okay. Nothing that stole the show, but nothing to complain about either. The service wasn't the best during our visit, but they also had a 30-person table they were dealing with, so it was completely understandable. Even with that, the food was so good that it's already a top 3 meal for my wife. Everett's is a solid ten! At least that's what I would give them if I could. We had heard about them and were very excited to try. I'm sure everything on the menu is good, but we came here for wings and boy did they deliver. The house brined wings are Fantastic. We did the extra hot bubba, which is their extra hot sauce fried then grilled In garlic Parmesan, which was so juicy and flavorful and kicked the heat to a perfect amount where it was flavorful but not overbearing. We also did the cactus ranch, which is the medium hot sauce tossed with cactus ranch seasoning, also tried it grilled. Another solid selection that provided a nice amount of heat and flavor. Both were so amazing I can't even say which one I liked more or which one was hotter. The wings are huge, juicy, and came out well-sauced. I filled up after five of mine (my husband tackled them all) and took the rest home. I don't know how to say best wings in Omaha, since I don't live there and haven't tried enough places, but these were some of the best wings we have EVER had, period. And we get wings almost everywhere we go. Also---the hand-cut (you heard me) fries aren't to be passed up on. We tried with the garlic aoili, so good, and a huge basket for $6. Our server was great. They are always busy, so give them some grace. We came during late lunch, got lucky and got seated right away, and it was still a revolving door of people, tables don't sit empty for long. They don't take reservations, and I understand why. They have limited space and when full, you sign up on the Board, there is a bar next door you can also receive a buzzer and go have a few drinks while you wait. Came inside with puppy to get put on the waiting list. One of the servers said that it shouldn't be a problem with having the puppy with us. She was told that the puppy has a closed carry case. Absolutely incredible experience here all around! Great service and some of the best wings I have had in Omaha! I went around 2 pm on a Sunday and it was busy for a reason. There was a short wait before my family was seated. We had an amazing server who never let our drinks go empty and let us know after we ordered an estimate of how long it would take. I definitely think it took less time than she estimated which was great! There isn't too much seating there, but it is a nice clean dining area. I loved the music they played like Bob Marley and Pearl Jam. It was a really great vibe. There's a few tvs. The wings were absolutely incredible! So flavorful and saucy! Made to Everett's FINALLY for some wings and Brussels sprouts. It was 3 pm, so it wasn't too crowded. Believe me, this place is super popular at dinner time, and there usually is a wait. . The wings I got with Thai peanut sauce, and it is outstanding sauce. The Brussels sprouts are deep fried with crispy edges and topped with a sweet and salty sauce and real bacon bits. So good. The Brussels sprouts are so good, it makes me smile to eat my veggies. . Today is the 2nd hottest day of the year in Omaha, which means commercial kitchens are gonna be even hotter. Everett's kitchen is no exception. To be as kind and as safe as possible to kitchen staff, it is important to reduce excess heat. The grill top is turned off today so grilled wings are not an option today. So be kind to your kitchen and back of house staff as we dine out (because we don't want to heat up our kitchens) during these extreme hot days. Best Wings in Omaha! Everett's Burger This is a regular burger--NOT a smash burger. My husband liked it, and he's picky with him compliments. They have the lettuce, tomato, and pickled veggies separate so you can leave out what you don't want. They have pickled onions which gives it a nice cut--different than the normal raw or grilled that you see on burgers. He got the meal so it came with fries. You HAVE to try their garlic aioli. It's delicious! Wings Okay.. So here's why we say they're the best. Flavor-wise, there MAY be other places that could top, but the flavor here is good. The size of the wings are a very good size with a satisfying amount of meat. We always get fried and grilled and they've never disappoint. We got Medium Hot and Saucy Rossy (which is Medium Hot and Carolina BBQ). They do not play with the spicyness! My husband and I love spicy but we got Extra Hot last time and my husband did not enjoy it because it was too spicy for enjoyment for him. Service Good and thoughtful service. Our server came to check on us at a reasonable time after we got our food. When we were done I needed to leave my food on the counter and asked the girl if that was okay she said yes and asked if I wanted a bag for my two boxes. I could see this place getting packed as there are not that many tables, but after eating here I'd say it's worth the wait! Come early because at dinner time it fills up very quickly. We came at 4:15 and there were only 2 other tables full and by the time we left the place was packed and this was on a Thursday. I had been hearing great things about Everett's so we had to try it as soon as we had a day in the Benson area, and we have been back several times since! When you come in, it's very bright and airy inside with white walls, cute music-based photos, and a warm vibe. The service is great, and the music they have playing is always nice and chill. There is a genius in the back cooking, because they have a small but mighty menu of delicious items to pick from: -Brussels sprouts: These were the first things I wanted to try, based just on the amount of times they are mentioned in reviews and the photos of them I'd seen. I'm a huge fan of Brussels sprouts and these are among the best I have had. They are on the sweeter side, with the honey glaze and the lime crema. So tasty, especially if you're a fan of the sweeter type of Brussels vs the savory. You can get these as a full appetizer (which is huge) or a side with your entree. -Sandwich #3 (with pulled pork): Perfectly cooked pulled pork topped with asian slaw and peanut sauce. A tad sweet from the slaw, spicy from the peanut sauce, and meaty with each bite - all the best flavors! -Branding Potatoes: This is another side you can get with your entree or just buy as a separate side. Whichever you do, just get these! They are so creamy, cheesy, and delicious! -Everett's Burger: This is their namesake so we had to get it at least once! It's just a super well cooked/seasoned burger with a nice brioche bun and the normal toppings of tomato, cheese choice, and side of lettuce and onions if you want to use those. -Brined Wings: These were my husband's favorite as he is a huge wing guy. He got them in the Bubba style with the garlic parmesan. He normally gets the parmesan garlic at Wing Stop, but said those don't hold a candle to Everett's. -BBQ Pulled pork Bacon Burger: I got this and it was a mix of the Everett's Burger and the Pulled Pork Sandwich I had (minus the slaw). It was topped with their Carolina BBQ sauce and that was so amazing - I was licking it off my fingers! We also tried both of their dessert options over our visits, and they're both excellent too. -Heath Cookies: These come out covered in caramel syrup and ice cream. They are super yummy when they come out all warm and gooey, but you have to eat them there if you want the full experience (we took them to go once and they got pretty hard and chewy when they cooled down). -Jill's Famous Brownie: This is HEAVEN! If you're a brownie fan, and you like when they're fresh out of the oven and gooey. That's exactly how this brownie is, all warm and covered in ice cream, like a brownie sundae almost! I am craving it now just typing about it. Overall, we have never found one thing we didn't like at Everett's so we will be heading back many more times to come! read more
