I have never experienced something like this until coming to this dealership. A few things I have a problem with this establishment. 1. I traded my Chevy Trax for an Equinox, financed my Trax then leased my Equinox after trading. Then once my lease was almost up I turned it into finance. I WAS NOT INFORMED THEN IT WOULD OUT ME IN A NEGATIVE EQUITY AND NOW IM PAYING MORE THAN WHAT THE CAR IS ACTUALLY WORTH. 2. AFTER 2 years of driving the equinox, this is when the problems really start to happen, engine starts over heated because of low coolant and needed a throttle body service. Simple easy fix right, WRONG!!!!!! They gave me the car back said everything is good, I drive not even a mile and now my fuel tank was leaking. And after that I had to get the fire department to clear the area before I could get a tow truck to get my car. Fire Department comes and clears the area, tow truck comes and bring it back to the dealership (Side note: they couldn't even give me a loaner after their mechanics fuck up and I had to rent a car with my own money.) They fix it and tell me it's good and I leave. NEXT FUCKING DAY MY CAR IS OVERHEATING AGAIN AFTER THEY TOLD ME THEY TESTED IT AND IT WAS FIXED. I bring it back and now they give me a loaner car because they cant figure out the problem. Turns out to be a Crack in the engine block so they need to get me a new motor. A month goes by and now my car is ready and finally fixed, OR SO I THOUGHT!!!!! 1 WEEK LATER IM BACK AT THE FUCKING DEALERSHIP FOR MY ENGINE OVERHEATING. They gave me ANOTHER LOANER for a few days and then it's finally fixed, I get my car back and what happens 2 days later, MY FUCKING ENGINE IS OVERHEATING AGAIN!!!!! After the 5th time I call GM CUSTOMER SERVICE TO MAKE A COMPLAINT BECAUSE I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS LEMON. I use to love Chevy and now I don't ever want to drive a chevy again read more

Bought out my lease because I love my car. Added on a warranty. A week after the warranty inspection (where the car was deemed A-OK) - repairs are suddenly needed. Warranty doesn't kick in for 30 days so if we want it fixed now it's thousands of dollars out of pocket. Taking my first kid off to college in a few days and going in a rental car that I pray holds all his stuff. One of the main reasons we bought the car was for college move in. Dealership was completely unhelpful after years of getting cars and and trucks from them - personal and business. Will not be going back. read more

Make sure you stay on top of your own service records/receipts!!! Left the car today for a simple oil change and filter replacement. My wife received a call from the service advisor (Jonathan Fried) saying that we also needed a new battery. My wife mentioned to this advisor that she remembers having All American Chevy replace the battery last year. Of which the advisor reviewed our service records and couldn't find any such record. My wife then said to hold off on the new battery, as she wanted to check our receipts and asked that they only work on our original request until further notice. Within the hour of hanging up, she received another call from the service advisor apologizing and confirming we did in fact get a new battery last year (August) and that they performed a new test and now miraculously we no longer need a new battery. We then had a talk with the GM (Tom), since this exchange with a defensive advisor left us more frustrated. Tom, went on to explain that he has had his own personal issues with this test machine and said that at times he would get false negatives on his demo car from this test machine. WHAT? How many false negatives have occurred at the customers expense? If my wife didn't say we will check our receipts, we would have walked out of there with an additional $300 unnecessary charge on a battery we didn't need. This made us even more frustrated with the total exchange. Not to mention Jonathan said "I was that guy." You're 100% CORRECT, Jonathan! I'm that guy who isn't about to be scammed by a dealership who just tried pulling a fast one on us and FAILED! Based on this experience, it's likely we had this dealership replace a battery six months ago per their recommendation, that likely didn't need replacing. Maybe, it was a false negative then. We didn't ask for a discount (not our intention), but they gave us a $37.99 VIP Discount anyway. Moral of the story, keep your own records/receipts and don't get played! The Service department at a dealership is one key pillar to their financial success. Unnecessary, recommendations helps them meet their goals. Two car purchases and 12 years of loyal service agreements down the drain just like that! If this was VIP treatment, we are more than happy to take our business elsewhere! read more

I purchased a Chevy Trailblazer this week. But it was not from All American. I shop around before purchasing or leasing. This is my experience with All American (and other area dealerships) this past week. I was looking for a Trailblazer. I found cars with (nearly) identical specs and MSRP at a few dealerships. All American wanted to charge me $3,500 over MSRP with a standard $500 rebate (this rebate is for all customers, from all dealerships). Quality Chevy (in Old Bridge) was worse at $5,000 over MSRP. Lester Glen was $1,800 over MSRP. Malouf was the best (by far) at $1,600 over MSRP - but they also offered a $1,000 dealer Rebate! Do your research before buying or leasing from here. read more

I've purchased two vehicles here and have always had my car and truck serviced at American . I see now they have the option to make an appointment for Oil Changes which I recommend. unfortunately I wasn't aware of it when I brought my wife's car in today. I arrived here at 11:45 and they estimated it would take about 90 minute. it is now 1:45 and they haven't even started on it. not sure if it's the new ownership or just nit enough help. I've sat outside the bay for the last hour and watched 3 employees doing absolutely nothing. I would think twice before you bring your vehicle here for an oil change. Dropped my Truck off on Monday for a Tuesday early AM appointment. Tuesday afternoon around 1 PM decided to give them a call and see if my truck is finished she says yes it's finished. You would think they would call but this is the lack of organization the service department has. So I pick my truck up and drive home. The next morning on my way to work this message pops up on the dash. You would think after driving my truck 5 miles after a recall it would be perfect no problems not the case here. I then call the service department and tell them what is going on they want me to bring in my truck. No way not again have brought my truck here 4 times and 3 out of 4 times something was messed up. I then say I will stop in for some coolant and they said they would have to charge me for it..... this is not my mistake it's yours think they would make it right it wasn't until after I got pissed off that they said they would give me the coolant. I'll just do it my self easier that way. Still have 2 free oil changes here from the last time they messed up and not even going to use them! Financed a 2012 Silverado 1500 from this dealership 5 years ago. After I paid vehicle off I attempted to trade it in then I learn the vehicle was involved in 2 accidents with the previous owner. This information was not disclosed to me or I would not have paid full book or even purchased it at all. I have all the sale documents & disclosure papers no where does it say anything about prior damages known. Signed by myself, salesman & manager. After contacting the dealership shortly after my payoff & speaking with Managnent I was informed that there was a Auto Check document they claim was signed by me & that is the only document i did not see or do not have. The auto check has only my signature half print half script. No salesman, or manager signature , no date or even a letter Head from the dealership. Any one can copy & paste or trace words. I'm writing this review in hopes that it will help someone save time, money and aggravation that I won't get back myself. In short, if you own a used GM vehicle do not bring it to this place for any work, including an oil change. The chances that they will damage your vehicle or sell you something you don't need are quite high. I've been a Chevy owner for over 10 years, always followed the best practices for vehicle maintenance - all according to the vehicle manual. I sold my first Impala at almost 200k miles and now on to my second one with 120k miles, never had any major issues until I came here. Recently, I decided to take my Impala to this Chevy dealer. I figured I would spend a little extra for better service and assurance that my vehicle is still in good shape. When I got there, I asked for an oil change and the multi-point vehicle inspection. Keith, the customer rep/salesman, came back and told me that my fuel injection system and throttle body could use some cleaning that was pertinent to "better mileage". Thinking he had my best interest at heart I agreed to spending an extra $500 for the cleaning service (after I researched more about this type of service, I found that it's completely unnecessary and is a way for dishonest auto-shops to get more money out of you). Two weeks later my engine started misfiring and multiple error messages on my dashboard began popping up. I took it to local Autozone for a free inspection and within minutes was told that one of the fuel injectors was bad and is causing cylinder 3 to misfire. With that information, I brought the car back to All American Chevy explaining that after they performed the fuel injection service my engine started to misfire. They then said they would diagnose my car and call me back. The lady called me 2 hours later saying that they still aren't sure what the issue was and needed more time (all billable). 3 more hours go by and they call me again confirming that fuel injector 3 needed to be replaced and that at this point they took the engine apart and there was no going back. All in all, they ended up charging me another $800 to replace the injector that failed after their fuel injection cleaning service (total of $1300 by now). Of course the service director told me it's merely a coincidence that the injector failed after they did the fuel injection cleaning service. He then also lied to my face first saying that they used a "sophisticated cleaning machine" that cleans the whole fuel system, only to tell me in the end that they simply put some chemical agent in the fuel tank and that's all they did. He finally put the blame on the chemical manufacturer telling me he would submit an inquiry with them and would call me back in a week. Shockingly enough he never called me back. I understand that vehicle maintenance and services cost money and I've never had any issues with that. However, this shop had no transparency and clearly doesn't care about their customers. We all need to make money and eat, but falsely advertising goods and services through the guise of "better mileage " is practically stealing from people. Terrible experience trying to lease a new car through this dealership. I did it seven years ago and everything went smoothly but this time I told the sales guy, Tony, who characterizes everything about the oily, dishonest used car salesman, what I wanted to lease, he shows me the car, we go on a ridiculously long test drive, I waste over an hour of my life there only to find out that the car is question will not continue to be manufactured much longer so the lease would be stupidly high. My only option is to buy it or lease something bigger and more expensive. You wait that long to tell me? Either because you are a total moron or just completely dishonest. If in fact he had been honest, and told me from the start about the lease, I would have happily looked at something else. Hah went there interested in buying a new Colorado test drove it. Later sales guy tells me I'll be paying over $600 a month so I said ok what interest rate how many month etc etc. Asked for the math and how he got those number. I get a response "we didn't run your credit yet so we don't have any" meanwhile I get an email notification a minute later saying my credits been ran. Also told the sales guy it would probably be a lot in insurance then coincidentally started getting calls from cheaper insurance rates . Com as I spoke to them I was told they don't exactly randomly call but I'd have to inquire with all my info online for them to call me. So iguess my sales guy did that without my consent as well, as he kept wanting to know what I was paying a month. This was a couple months back. Wish I remember the sales guy's name. I feel even more satisfied knowing that they made sure I was in the right car for me, instead of just a car right now. Chuck (in particular) made sure I leased the truck I was most comfortable with. He gave me suggestions and his advice, but was in no way pushy what-so-ever. After I decided on a truck, the process was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. I was in an out in just under two hours now that's service! Kristen, the finance manager was amazing! She gets to know her customers and guides you through each step of the lease or purchase. She is not fully satisfied until you drive off the lot with the perfect vehicle for you! I felt like family by the end of the whole process! My sister in law brought her 2018 Chevy Tahoe to All American Chevy in Middletown, NJ. She dropped the truck off for an oil change and to rotate my tires. She was there at 8:10 a.m. and they said are you waiting for the truck or dropping it off, she Said am dropping it off and then asked what time would I return, She said I need it ready by 10:00. When We returned at 10:15 the truck was in the same spot as She left it. She went inside to find out what was going on, they said, the technician didn't see the order, I said for 2 hours no one saw the ticket? They told her that her truck will be done in 10 minutes. I said oil change, the filter, rotating the tires and a car wash? They insisted yes. My sister in law actually went into the service area to inquire about my Tahoe, they had to wait for parts for the oil and the oil filter. The technician told my sister in law by mistake we had a Silverado in here and we put the Tahoe filter on that truck, it was meant for your truck. My sister in law was flabagasted so she decided to watch my truck so they didn't make that mistake. My sister in law also asked about the multi inspection and did you fill the fluids up and check all belts and hoses, they said yes we did. She then said my brother will check this truck and if they are not filled, he will return. The technician said to the other technician before you pull it out for a car wash, let me check under the hood. Mind you, they began to fill up the washer fluid, she was asking did you check the brake fluid, did you check the filters for cabin and air? They told her they don't need to be changed until 15,0000 miles. Let me tell you my experience was horrific . I finally got the truck 4 hours later. The technician then said we are short staffed. I went inside to get my paperwork and they told me the printer was acting up and she could not print the multi check list. I looked over the bill, and my sister in law said they did not check you battery. The girl who works the counter said, its on the dashboard of the truck, I said no they need to check the terminals for corrosion and the cables. I just wanted to get the hell out of there and I did. Don't ever go here. I brought my car in for a boost issue, knowing it was probably the turbo. After having the car for 10 to 12 days, changed a 100 dollar part, (ecu)and said my car was fine. I didn't even make it out of the parking lot before the check engine light came on. I went back to the service desk and let them know not even 5 minutes later only to find out they no longer had the loaner car I was using for work, and I'd need to leave the car for an unspecified amount of time. Cute. I had the turbo changed out and the car was good again. But going through all that (and I was even covered by the extended service warranty I paid for!), owning that car left a bad taste in my mouth so I got rid of the car. I bought 3 cars from this dealership. Thanx, but I will no longer by any other gm products because of this. I let 3 sales staff know of this issue I had when they called me looking to sell me a car and to take me off their call list. Good luck if you go here. read more

Don't go in based on online pricing. Its a bunch of rebates that you likely wont qualify for any or all of. We went in for Traverse LT and we didn't "qualify" for the online price because of the rebates. What a sham. Ended up going to DCH Kay Honda in Eatontown, we got a 2019 Pilot EX for 5k less than MSRP and 3k less than they wanted for the Traverse. These trim levels are equivalent in the different cars. Chevy's don't hold their value... so why pay the same or more? At least I know my new Honda will not depreciate exorbitantly. Plus I heard that the transmission in the Traverse is not good anyway, glad we saved the headache, and the money! Just beware of the stupid pricing schemes and walk out if you don't get a fair price. We had a 2003 Saturn Ion with 148,000 miles on it. We brought the car to the Dealership's service dept and the cost to repair the car was more than it's worth. We went in not intending on leaving with a new car. Just to inquire about trading in the car and what our options were. The Sales and Finance reps made us very comfortable and worked with us to secure a lease deal that was within' our budget. We enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back. read more
