The estimate came close to two thousand dollars. The next morning I spent more of my time with another mechanic shop and none of that work needed to be done. I think this store just tries to get as much money out of you as they can regardless if the work really needs it. My car also has a leaking radiator found when I first purchased the car 6 months ago. I gave this shop two opportunities to tell me about it and they did not. I am so glad I have a much better mechanic to take care of my car. Unfortunately my regular mechanic doesn't have the machine to do alignments or one to replace tires. I thought this AAA shop could be my go to for this service but I was wrong. Time to find someone else more reliable and respectful of my time and money. I will never be back.

I had my Toyota Highlander towed from Toms River last Sunday. I have only owned it for a year but am very attached to it. I love driving it one of the best cars I have owned. I did some research and when a friend of mine did some investigating I was thinking it was over. Too soon. When Nelson got ahold of it he knew just what to do. He got the parts he needed Wednesday and finished it Thursday night. It even entailed pulling the engine from the car. He had to change the cam gears. While it was out he recommended the water pump be changed which he did. There was an oil cooler line that was part rubber that was known to fail got changed. New thermostat and anti-freeze. He also did an oil change, rotated my tires and did a four wheel alignment. How one person could accomplish so much in a short amount of time is truly mind boggling. Nelson has my business from now on. I highly recommend him to others. Nelson is a Japanese and South Korean car repair specialist but does work on some domestic cars as well. His attention to detail is exquisite plus he has a very nice down to earth personality and of course great work ethic. I was lucky, because I went to start my car and it flashed a low battery indicator, I tested it at auto zone and they made me aware that I needed a new alternator. I went to Firestone at 4:00 and I was out by 5:20. I researched this issue after the fact and I did need a new alternator, because my car was at 110,000 miles and an alternator usually lasts that long. The car did not break down on the highway and having a working vehicle is a small price to pay.
