I've had to revise my reading on this company due to bad experience with their shrubbery watering system. Their system only dribbles a little water at eat shrub. They tell you to water for an hour. Unfortunately, this results in the PVC tapping being under 100 pounds of pressure. Their installers do not use a cleaner on the PVC fitting. Therefore the fittings blow apart. This is happened to us four times and resulted in $600 of additional water use. read more

The owner and his team were exceptionally responsive and understanding as they helped me recover from another company's feeble effort to install an irrigation system. AAIS sent a team led by Miguel, who immediately went to work in three separate areas of systems prep, yard prep, and customer interaction. They quickly followed with digging the lines, and installing the system. As a bonus to me, they cleared the now useless system from my yard while simultaneously installing theirs. This job took approximately 6 hours from arrival to departure, as opposed to the three days from the previous company. The only thing that remains is the city inspection and system quality check/walk-through...something else the other guys didn't do. I have consistently used them when inevitable repairs or adjustments are needed, and they have always been 100% upfront and honest about their pricing. No, they are not cheap, but they are comparably priced to other companies and their customer service is outstanding. The people who answer the phones and set up appointments are very kind and always give you complete information. I receive text confirmations the day before an appointment and a text notification when the tech is on his way. Austin, Michael, Anthony... Beware of how much services cost with this company. At first, I greatly appreciated that they were able to send someone out the same day given we had a leak we thought was in our yard. Scheduling was easy and both the phone staff and technician were polite, even when I called with my grievance they remained polite, which is why I'm giving at least 3 stars. However, even if they only take less than 5 minutes to diagnose your issue, they will still charge the full $95 just for the service. The technician even mentioned over the phone that replacing a leaky sprinkler head should only cost around $20, not $20 plus a $95 service fee. When the technician came it took less than 5 minutes for them to tell us the leaky sprinkler head was not on our side of the house, and we were still charged the full $95 which did not seem justified for the time involved to diagnose the issue. To add to the frustration, we only had $100 in cash, and the technician stated he had no change, which forced us to pay extra. While I understand that businesses have standard service fees, clearer communication on the phone about costs would prevent disappointing surprises like this. The company sends a couple emails when the appointments are booked which could be a good place for this information about fees as well. The company has been around a long time, which speaks to the quality of service it must be providing. However, I highly recommend asking about pricing details beforehand to ensure you are fully aware of potential charges. The service leading up to the appointment was good. The office staff is communicative with appointments and reminders and the folks that did the work were nice. The reason I am giving this three stars is a failure to take accountability on All American's part. They did not ask me where I wanted my control panel installed and proceeded to install it in the most inconvenient and hard to access corner of my yard, because that's what the city prefers (I wish "the city" paid a portion of the invoice). I worked from home that day and told the lead guy to just ring the doorbell if he needed me, otherwise I'll be upstairs working. Since I didn't open the garage or was shown on installation day where the panel was, I assumed it hadn't been installed. When I brought to their attention on the follow-up call they said the panel was already installed. I asked where it was and they told me outside near my AC. I told the rep that isn't what I wanted and no one asked me where to put it, otherwise I would have told them not to put it there (there's less than 10" of space between the fence and the AC unit, so you have to squeeze past it to get to the panel). She said someone would call me or they'll address it during the final walk through. When I asked about it, to my surprise, they referenced a small line in the contract that said it would be installed outside near the AC (I missed this line) as a justification for why no one bothered to talk to me about placement. I've owned 4 homes and three of them have sprinkler systems (they always came with the house, so this is my first time installing one). All three homes had the control panel inside the garage. I thought this was standard. I wasn't even remotely aware I needed to specify this, plus it doesn't absolve them of asking the customer or doing a walk through of the work they plan to do. They resolved this by doing me a "favor" and charging me an additional $250 to move the panel to my garage. Accountability and communication are super important to me, but it felt like the accountability for failing to ask me where the panel should go ended up costing me more money and they took zero accountability for not asking. This company is OUTSTANDING... If you want to be treated like royalty then you have come to the right sprinkler company. Michael, Brendan and Chrissy have the absolute best customer service skills ever. They all go above and beyond... I mean literally every single person we have dealt with just keeps setting the bar higher and higher for taking care of their customers. Even when something is not necessarily their fault they explain it in a way that is understandable and clear and even after that they still try to help you. We bought our new system with them and Michael has been the main person we dealt with. Every single question every concern dealt with with a super fast response and he was genuine. I never felt like "ok the jobs done now leave us alone" type of attitude. Michael and Brendan are the type of guys you wanna go grab beers with after work. We had our system installed and they didnt put the sprinklers in one of the flower beds. I was kinda upset and my wife called Michael and not once did he try to pawn it off or make excuses. He just said "your absolutely right and i will be out there tomorrow to install them my self" What? Lol that was the first incredible moment i had dealing with him. Next the guys cut the grounding rod to my house. Called Chrissy and she was super sweet and constantly updated us and gave us step by step notices of what she was doing and who she was contacting and their responses. I never had to sit around for a few days or weeks waiting for a call back. I never felt like "these guys are just stalling and hoping we forget about them" No immediate responses and detailed ones as well. They came back and politely explained that since it was not surveyed or marked by the city its not covered under warranty. And i understood that and they explained it in a very sincere and pleasant way. BUT they said they would try to see what they could do. Couple days later sent out Michael... he wasnt able to fix it BUT they would talk to Brendan and see what they could do. Brendan called me almost immediately and said he would take a look. He did recommend maybe getting an electrician but said let him have a loon first. I told him i understand and asked politely if they would consider splitting the cost of the electrician to fix the grounding rod. He did not shoot me down or get upset or irritated that i recommend that idea. Instead he said dont worry about anything im gonna take care of it. Came out the next day and fixed it.... This company should be studied and examined with a fine tooth comb on how to handle your customers and what it really means to go above and beyond. Highly recommend having them winterize your system too. They are fair on the price and again... they WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU LIKE FAMILY! No matter who you speak with or who you talk too. Pick up the phone and call YOU WILL GET A PERSON THAT PICKS UP. After hours and you shoot an email over? GET A RESPONSE THE VERY NEXT MORNING WITH A PHONE CALL FOLLOW UP. Brendan did a fantastic job! I am so pleased with the service call I received today. If I had not received a call to get my sprinklers serviced from AAIS, I would not have known that I had a leak spraying water into the air in Zone 4 of my flower box ( not trying to water the air). Brendan was punctual, professional, explained all of my zones again ( I'm forgetful), looked for leaks, repositioned hoses and made sure my sprinklers were in tip top shape. I've had my sprinklers for about a year now and must say that it beats getting up at four in the morning to beat the summer sun from scorching the grass. After this service , I am interested in getting the wireless controller box that will give me more flexibility in watering the lawn if I'm away for extended periods of time. I highly recommend and see that this company will do what it needs to make its customers happy! We had this company extend our existing system to the backyard. Overall we had a horrible service experience. After multiple re-fixes, it is working for now. Issues that came up were the following: 1) When they installed the system, it was completely non-functional, even the original part that worked before they came. 2) When they came to check it out, they gave multiple different reasons for it not working after each reason ended up being wrong. 3) They tried to have us pay to change our master valve telling us it coincidentally broke on it's own at the same time they installed the system. 4) Turns out it wasn't the master valve and they hadn't checked the system properly prior. 5) Throughout the entire process I called multiple times, was told. I would receive a call in under an hour, and didn't receive a call until several days later after I had called multiple times. 6)They tore up multiple underground wires and tree roots, and left them exposed above ground after assuring us they wouldn't do this. I called multiple times, talked to them in person, and it still took several weeks and multiple trips for them to follow through. 7) When they come they tell you what you pay is an "estimate" but it's really half of what the total cost will be. read more

Sadly, we were (thought we were going to be) very pleased at installation, but now that we have a defective part causing problems, I can't get consistent callbacks, have been hung up on twice instead of calls answered (picking up and hanging up immediately), and every person I or my wife do talk to has quoted a different price, blamed someone fired when they are not, and repeatedly said they have someone call us back which has not happened a single time. Getting on the phone has been hard, getting answers harder, getting the truth - much less service - seems impossible. I would HAPPILY change this review if we can start to get more responsive and more responsible service as our issue is ongoing. read more

AAIS installed sprinkler system in my yard (1/2 acre) a little more than a year ago. The installation went well, but service after installation is horrible. I have had 4 significant leaks with the system from broken pipes and valve issues. When requesting repairs AAIS consistently gave a window of 2 to 4 weeks for service. The first three leaks required shut-off at the main water meter, so there was no water to my house until repair, and I had to 'fight' with the company to get them to fix the leaks sooner than they scheduled. In addition, although AAIS advertises solid warranty with system installs, the company continues to push back on my system leaks saying that they 'may not' be covered by warranty. In the end, the company did cover the first few leaks under warranty, but would not cover the fourth leak. Lastly, these leaks have cost me significantly in high water bills, not to mention not having water to my house for many days and not being able to use the sprinkler system for significant periods over the past several months. In the end, AAIS just doesn't seem to care about service after installation, given how much they push back when problems are reported. I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND staying away from AAIS. read more

I never take the time to leave a review however this one is definitely warranted so other customers have a better understanding of how All American Irrigation demonstrates customer service. We booked an appointment with a three week waiting period which is completely understandable during the peak of summer. We received our confirmation phone call the day prior. We waited and waited for someone to show up and they never did, hence we took off work for this appointment after waiting 3 weeks. To make a long story short... no phone call, no follow up except an email after we contacted them, and come to find out after two days, they stated our phone did not work after another text from them, then to find out the owner was caught up on another job that day and never reached out to let us know he wouldn't make it. Lesson to learn: Communication is a must...honesty is a necessity and customer service will keep you in business! read more

I have used AAIS for two installs. My first installation went flawless. Then we had a pool installed and the pool company ripped up my irrigation system. I called Chris and AAIS and they came out to fix my system. Had a few hiccups with fixing the issues but I contacted Chris with my concerns and he was amazing at ensuring everything got fixed appropriately. Seldom does the owner of a company take the time to ensure his customers are happy and Chris personally checked to ensure I was satisfied with my service. It's great to find a business that doesn't compromise quality for a profit. All businesses are out to make money but at least AAIS ensures customer satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone. This company is nice at first to get your business. However, when it comes to follow ups they SUCK. They did a new installation at our new home. What we did not like was that it does not include grass once they have installed the sprinklers, you have to pay additional for them to patch up the lines where the sprinklers were placed. We have now called 5 times to get an additional quote and still have yet to get a quote. Have been waiting for 2 weeks. Seems like once they get your money for a main install, they really don't care about any other additional work that may not be as expensive. So with that said, going to look for another company who is willing to give us a simple quote and who knows how to follow up with clients. read more

They no longer offer a year long maintenance plan of four quarterly checkups, and I've had to repeatedly call them to schedule after they missed appointment dates, since they seem to have no calendar to keep track of upcoming or scheduled customer appointments. read more

At 2:08 pm an Administrative staff member called me to inform me that the rain (not raining at my location) was going to keep them from making our appointment time. I just got off the phone with the service desk, they called to cancel my appointment this morning. They called at 0830 to cancel my appointment which was supposed to be between 088-0900. First why would they wait halfway into the arrival time to cancel, second the excuse they gave was due to the rain. I do not understand the this excuse, or the delay in calling. Previously with our sprinkler system installment, there was a pretty quick turnaround from estimate to completion. Brendan was helpful in explaining the system and it works well. All along, we had hoped to have them do our landscaping and we discussed it with them at length during our initial estimate and on the phone thereafter. I'm going to just state facts with no emotional hyperbole. We scheduled an estimate and called off work to be there (difficult to do as a military physician and a teacher/coach) and it was canceled without reason. We rescheduled a week later and called off work to be there and it was canceled because of rain. They were unavailable to come out for two weeks after that. When the estimate was done on November 1st, we said it was important to us to get the job done in the month of November. We were told it might be tight but there was a chance they could do it on a weekend. We were called a week later and told that it could not be done in November to which we asked "not even on a weekend as stated as a possibility by Chris the owner" and they said he would call us back which he did. He stated that if he could get a particular gentleman to do it, then we were a go and they would call us back. They did and set a date for November 18/19 saying that we were 100% scheduled weather permitting. That day I had other estimates for the job, but since we were assured a date of completion in November, those other estimates were canceled. We got a call back today saying that they were canceling the job and could not do it in the month of November to which I stated that I was going to write a review detailing these events. Chris called me back stating that I knew it was dependent upon if other jobs could be moved-this was never voiced to us when we were given the date. He then raised his voice. I said "Chris, I'm not raising my voice" and he then said "take care" and hung up on me. read more

After receiving a quote for over $1400, I elected to get a second quote. Brendan was AMAZING!!!! He quickly identified areas of concern, even showing me a leak that had created a small pool of water near my AC. He recommended replacing a couple sprinklers with leaks, several sprinkler heads that were doing a phenomenal job at watering my neighbor's lawn, and even a rain/freeze sensor. With all the work I had done (not limited to the recommendations), the cost was less than 1/3 of what I was originally quoted!!!!! Brendan was professional and took the time to walk me through the yard, providing great guidance on what was originally recommended and why some of it was not likely required. I have NEVER posted a review on social media,but I am sooo beyond frustrated with this company, and my requests for help have gone unanswered, I am not sure what to do. I installed my SECOND system with this company, because I LOVED my first system. My husband and I admired what the mission of the company was, and our system was great! So when we moved into a new house, of course we called them again. My experience this time has been so FAR from what the company mission is! I have been trying to get help with installation issues since the summer. My first two request through their website went unanswered completely. Then finally an email to my husband... NOPE just a sales call for repeat business. So, I call back, take off of work to meet the appointment..... when they don't come I call to find out why and the tech is sick.... not sure why THEY didn't call me? I reschedule and take off work AGAIN, the first words out of the techs mouth is "whats the problem?" After I introduce myself and explain the issues, I am told they don't have what they need to address all the issues and will have to come back. NO surprise that I do NOT get a call, so I call again and also ask for the owner to call me. This morning the tech shows up an hour AFTER they are supposed to (I also called AGAIN...nobody called me), and i have taken off MORE time from work! Also, the owner STILL has not called me. I am hoping they finally fix my issues this morning so I do not have to miss work again and NEVER have to work with this company again. Waited at my house and no one showed up. To follow this up, they sent me a quote for services without even knowing what I wanted done to begin with.
