My big screen TV died exactly two months after the warranty ended. Other than buying a new one, we want to responsibly recycle the broken TV. Online searches led us to here. I always have some hesitation coming to a private business such as this instead of, say, a King County transfer station. Will they have hidden fees, will they try to sell you something, will they point to a bin and tell us (not strong people) to fit it in somehow??? Well, let me tell you how EASY it was. We arrived and parked. We walked in and said we like to recycle a flat screen TV. He said, "No problem. I'll even help you unload." My jaw dropped a bit. We filled out a single line on a form. We opened the trunk. This taller and stronger than us guy singlehandedly took the TV out of our car, brought it inside, and gently placed it standing vertically on its edge in an open-top box lending against another big screen TV. That was it. Free! No cost! I was so shocked at how easy it was that I forgot to take any pictures. He was brilliant. Thank you!

The employee diagnosed my problem and told me what I needed and nearly rang up the part. He told me how easy it was to do "But check it out on YouTube first". I had to run home for something and told him I'd be back for the part after I checked out Youtube. Turns out, the part he indicated wasn't the issue, but a part connected to that part was. Big crack in a hose that went to the recommended part (Emission Vapor Hose). When I went back to get the part, they, unfortunately, didn't have it in stock and it would've been some days until they got it in. He gave me a recommendation on where to grab it. Kind of like "Miracle on 34th Street"- "We don't have it, but you might try Gimball's". I found the part and got it installed easily and my car's now running fine. The clerk didn't have to do that, but it was very cool of him to do so. To the Mgr.: while this might've meant a sale for you guys, it gained even more customer loyalty from me. That is commendable. This store has always had great employees and I've dealt with them pretty much since they moved into the Thomas Lake Albertsons (now Safeway) lot. Store is clean. The isles are taller than Advance Auto Parts making navigation a little more tricky. Selection is good. I got what I needed, an adaptor for my ratchet. 3/8 to 1/4. The adaptor was $7.68 and it is not as strong as the ones made for impact guns. The parking lot is a little small. The parking lot for the auto zone down the street is much easier to find parking in. Advanced auto parts on evergreen way has a huge parking lot. So if you have to tinker with your car a little, that one has plenty of space. I forgot my wallet! But luckily I was able to pay with Apple Pay, thank goodness.

It was Jennifer and Christopher who assisted in getting me to the store and once they did, they checked the battery, alternator and starter to determine the problem.
