My daughter burned out her battery and I didn't have any tools with me so we went to Budget since it was close. The guy at the desk had her drive her car into the garage, did a couple of tests and told me what I suspected, which was it needed replacement. Rock star parking all the time....well, mainly because few know of this place. Located in Lynnwood across the street and a bit West from Trader Joe's, it's worth the visit. When you don't want to put a battery in your vehicle that costs more than said vehicle come here. While I have never needed the services of a Sears Die-hard battery, since I never brave the wilds of the Yukon, Budget Batteries serve their purpose. They take all major credit cards and they'll test your old battery before you buy. Nice employees and they do a great install job, that is included with your purchase! Absolutely horrible customer service. Dirty, cold "showroom" area. Went in for a new battery for our car. Completely ignored us when we walked in. Employee was chit chatting with another customer about how he used to work at Frye's. Then he went into the shop area and starting talking with another guy about his Mustang. NEVER EVEN ASKED US WHY WE WERE THERE. After 10 minutes of freezing in the "showroom" waiting for an employee to come help us we left. We ended up going to Sears and getting a battery installed there. read more

I have been to the budget battery in lynnwood for the expertise and the prompt service. The gentleman explained why my battery was DOA. And then promptly installed a fresh battery. He also suggested that some of the previous wiring done by other shops could be simplified, and I had him go ahead and proceed with those suggestions. Needed a new battery since the cheap Wal-Mart battery leaked and ruined the negative connector. Cole immediately found the battery we needed, dropped some knowledge on us as to why the cheap battery leaked and corroded the connector, and even explained how to easily change out the connector. I've replaced an entire cable before because I was told I would need to when it was an identical problem on another car. Naturally, he had the connector, very cheap at $2 compared to buying a whole cable, and our total was still way under what other places would have charged. Since we had to use the other car to get there, Cole wasn't able to install for us (install is included,) but he offered to take a look at it after we can bring it in. This battery even has a better and longer warranty than the Wal-Mart Everlast. The replacement connector went on quick and easy. It's a no-frills kind of place, and that's perfectly fine with me if it keeps the cost down. I'm not going there sit and lounge, maybe listen to bad elevator music while sipping some mocha whatever whatnot... it's an auto parts store that specializes in batteries and installation. This was my second experience with Budget Batteries and both experiences have been 5 star! I have never felt that he was trying to nickel and dime me. Both times he was very knowledgeable and gave me options, along with his recommendation on what was going to be the best for my truck. It was really quick service. Not the nicest waiting room, & sometimes you have to tap someone's shoulder, but as far as quality of install & product, never an issue. I've bought five batteries here over the years, never an issue. The only one that ever failed was rated for three years (diesel) and it lasted five. It was still working, but was running down a bit.. They have competitive prices & do fun stuff like check the charging system while they're at it as well. read more

This was my second trip to Budget Batteries. They are awesome. This is a no-frills place and all they sell is batteries and battery stuff. The first time I needed a small battery for my John Deere. They had exactly what I needed and when I asked about a small trickle charger I could use to keep the battery working through a winter of non-use - he had the perfect one at a nice low price. This time I needed a replacement for our Toyota Tacoma. We only use it for gardening, dump or lumber runs so hadn't started it for several months. This time the old battery would just not keep a charge so went in for a new one. They had just what I was looking for - a 5 year warranty and under $100. I Highly recommend them!! read more

Coal (manager of BB Lynnwd) is a real boy scout! Helpful, friendly, courteous ... et.all. Plus, he knows more about batteries and their nature than anyone I have ever met. He gave me a loaner battery, charged mine at the slow rate that preserves the life of the battery and answered every question I could think of.. all that and more at no charge (cost) for his service. Can't remember when I have had better service and been more welcome by a stranger or even by people with whom I am aquatinted. read more

I bought a battery on 1/11/19. On 1/21/19 the positive terminal was extremely corroded and I have to go to a local shop to have the terminal cleaned. The corrosion continued to build up and was cleaned again. On 2/8/19 I brought the car back to budget batteries where he replaced the negative terminal saying that the loose negative was causing the positive terminal to corrode. I drove the car up to and on 2/10 with no issues. 2/13/19 the car won't start. Won't even click or turn any lights on. The open door won't beep. The battery is dead. I called the store and was told the problem is my car and not the battery. He says since the battery tested fine on 2/8 that the problem is mine. He says they do not issue refunds. Even though I have documented issues upon issues for 5 weeks with both him and other businesses who have tested the car, put it on a computer and cleaned the corrosion from the battery. I bought a new battery at Interstate in S. Everett and all my mechanical problems have magically disappeared. Filed complaints with both the BBB and The Attorney General. Sold a defective battery. Refused to honor the warranty. Now stuck with a 100 dollar paper weight. If I could leave negative stars I would. Lost a days work/pay. Single parent I can't afford that. This business cost me money! read more

During an oil change I was told the battery in my Jeep was close to needing replacement (it was pretty old). They offered to replace it (for $$$) but because of the good experience here before with my daughter's car I came back and had the same good experience as before - friendly service, very knowledgeable and the price was fair. If you let a car sit for a week it should start. My charging system is functioning 100% and had to go back 3 times to exchange their defective REFURBISHED batteries. I finally asked for my money back and they flat out refused. Said it was my car. Sorry but no it is not. A Multi-meter and years and years of experience on my end do not lie. Their batteries flat out do not hold a true charge. My new alternator is reading 14.2 volts running. Battery after a couple days of sitting goes down to 10.9.... No draws in my electrical system. Now that tell me and anyone with common sense that the battery is DEAD. After 3 batteries you would think they would just refund the money. No, that would imply that they would want to do a local customer right! Funny, went and bought a NEW battery down the street and no problems. Go figure. Budget batteries has had my business for over 20 years, but they lost it for now on. read more
