They ask questions and probe for details, and while they make suggestions, if you say you don't need something, they listen. They told me the last I took it there, they were no longer working on Singer sewing machines and I would have to find somewhere else to take it! Every time I go in this store I swear I'll never come again. The man there is extremely rude. This last time I was looking for a specific product that the internet said they carried. It is a 20 minute drive from my house so I called to make sure they had it before I left. I had a lengthy wait, then the woman spoke with me and I told her what I was looking for and that I wanted to know if they had it in stock. I had another lengthy wait while she checked and said yes they had it. I drove there and the man told me no they don't have it. No apologies or anything. I'll never buy anything there again. Came in for a replacement chord for my. Vacuum, they had a few options to choose from so I got the one that matched perfectly. Super nice customer service and the other customers seemed to be regular patrons, everyone was in good spirits and provided me with a quick but enjoyable experience. Definitely the place to go if your into sewing as this store has quite the selection. Based off of my experience here I'm sure the manager and the employee were both well equipped to answer any questions or give some advice. Seems like a nicely run small business. read more

Great concept and good at repairs. The repairs take a week in my experience. If this store had any competition, I doubt they'd have a robust business. The hours are not at all friendly to working people. And the staff is only marginally friendly. I would like to see this store focus more on customer service and expand their Saturday hours. read more

Horrible. Went in for repair and they didn't even look at my machine before quoting me "at a minimum $79.99." Tried to up sell me before even asking what was wrong with it. Based on the level of rudeness, I wouldn't give them any amount of money. Such a shame. read more

As far as sewing machines go, I love this place. They have lots of models (they are a Baby Lock dealer) and they are out on the floor for you to try. I also take my machines in for repair. They seem to have a good service technician on hand, but they are often lackluster about calling you back. I have had to call them to find out if my machine is ready only to find out it was ready a week ago and no one called me. Also, they supposedly ordered me a foot, but I never heard about it, either. I guess it either wasn't ordered, wasn't available, or they never called me. But overall, good machines. I'd definitely buy from there. Just follow up if you need service. read more

I have purchased several Baby Lock machines from All Brands in the last 12 months. The prices were fair and competitive. I have taken classes there as well, and they service all of my machines - I have 6. The owner and everyone else who works there are friendly and helpful. Their service technician does an excellent job and usually completes general maintenance and repairs in just a few days at a reasonable price. On 2/28 I visited this store for a hard to find filter! Great news, they actually had it. Made some small talk with the girls, bought the filter they had and ordered three more. Great experience so far. Last week after not hearing anything from them I stopped by and asked about the filter. The young man was nice enough so I left my business card and asked him to look into it. Well today I stopped by again and as I was speaking to the young lady behind the counter, the owner came over and said "how do we know how man filters we gave him the first time". I couldn't believe that the owner of this small business I was trying to support was actually implying that I might be trying to swindle him out of $9.00 dollar filters. Of course I had him refund my money off the receipt I brought with me. It is really sad that even when you think, shop and buy local, this is the type of service you get sometimes. In the end the other review about the owner not being as nice as he should be was spot on. I will never set foot in his store again and if your smart neither will you. I have to agree with another review the service I have experienced is a lacklust response. I was told someone would call me back on Tuesday 4 days after I called to let me know if they were going to add an additional class for the baby lock. I never received a call back and called again to get the same response. Was planning on updating possibly my baby lock but now I think I will keep what I have. I needed repair for my relatively new Singer machine, and was surprised to find out the place I bought it no longer does service, nor is there any Singer warranty service centers in all of Virginia. Evidently All Brands is taking advantage of this situation. I was happy to hear this is a family-run business that's supposed to have been around for quite a while. I paid $20 to have my machine looked at, and got advice when I dropped it off and picked it up. However, somewhere in between, I got snookered. I was told my barely-used machine needed a tune-up and the bobbin case needed replacement. No explanation of what exactly happened, just that it's a common problem and Singers are crappy machines now. My husband had taken it apart before I took it in, and again when I brought it home, and saw no cracking, scratches, indication there was any problem with the case. Even if it needed replacing, it's a ten dollar part, and I was told it would be at least $100 to repair. Convenient the place is happy to sell you a $600-1000 new machine. I saw several dozen machines waiting for repair, and just hope that at least a few of those customers got a fair, honest assessment of the problem and what it realistically would cost to repair. read more

I recently brought my Hoover vacuum into All Brands when i noticed that it was no longer performing well. This was my first experience with this store, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted by an employee as soon as i walked in, and they were quick to help me check my machine in. They explained that a technician would call me with an estimate in about two days. The next day I recieved a call from a technician who broke down what repairs my vacuum needed, and what the cost would be. At only around $70 to repair a vacuum I originally spent almost $300 on, I felt that the prices were very reasonable. The technician replaced the belt and filters on my vacuum, and thoroughly serviced the machine as well. When i picked up my vacuum I was pleased to see that it looked close to brand new condition. Additionly when I asked to speak with the technician who did my repair he was prompt to come speak with me and explained both what work he performed on my vacuum, and what maintenance I could perform in the future to prevent any problems. I was very satisfied with my experience at All Brands, and I plan to rely on them for any future repair services that I may need. read more
