They love our Bearded Collie and and have carefully worked with her and trained her over time so grooming is a blessing instead an irritation. They are so patient yet firm and willing to work with the pooches and their people. Kathleen shares her wealth of knowledge so we can be better dog handlers. We were lucky enough to get referred to Kathleen for grooming and she took in our two Cavaliars. We tried Pet Smart and others but have been customers of Kathleen for the last 2 years and could not be happier. Kathleen, Hope, Toni and the rest of the staff are wonderful people and really care for your dogs as if they were their own. We visit every 3 weeks for grooming and daycare and book one year out so we are guaranteed a spot. Our dogs love it there and are so tired when they come home! They start going crazy as I approach the store as they know they are gonna have a fun filled day. I couldn't say enough good things about this place and will be very sad when Kathleen decides to retire. I hope she finds someone who will be just as great as she is. I have a rough collie, a very sensitive and fluffy soul, and All Breed Grooming always sends her back happy and beautifully groomed. They really know how to brush out a dog with serious coat. I took her to several other places, and the results didn't even compare. But when she comes back from All Breed, she looks like a tri-colored Lassie. :) For that alone, I'd recommend this place, but it's also very kind to the dogs: if the owner prefers and the dog is chill with other dogs, the dog gets to be loose, not locked in a kennel all day. It's a lot less stressful for the my collie, who is very social. Cannot recommend enough. They are pretty busy, so, so booking a month+ in advance is usually necessary. We had the pleasure of having her in our family's life for many years until our dog passed away. Kathleen is the owner. She is always kind and remembers your name. Our dog is a bit of a nervous Nellie and hates being put in any type of kennel cage. They don't do that here! The dogs get to play with the other dogs waiting to be groomed in a nice big play area. Our dog is a beautiful blonde golden retriever with lots of hair and she always looks just gorgeous after being groomed. Kathleen never acts rushed and always takes the time to talk to you and answer any questions you might have. Called today and was able to bring my dog in to have her nails clipped. She had one that was broken, and Kathleen and her team worked to take care of it without any pain. My dog can be a bit nervous in new environments, but she appeared very comfortable there. Kathleen also advised me on food options as my dog has severe allergies. Oh well, second visit there, my two Yorkies sat for 7 hours untouched. I called at 6pm (dropped off at 9am as requested) and said I had to pick them up. At first said they weren't done, then when I got there, they had obviously tried to rush them thru...they were unclipped, nails not done, eye boogers, and all, but "damp"......they charged me over a $100 and I paid.....I didn't want to get into a big argument.....but I would never recommend them. I felt sorry for them. They have no business sense but obviously needed the money. I take my pets over to a Alamo groomer now.....5 times since June and they are always prompt, and my Yorkies look perfect. read more

This is the best of the best!! I've been going here, for a little over 3 year's.I came here out of frustration. I was taking at the time, my 1 and only dog(,Lasha shitzu) to a highly recommended place in a nice area,never really felt warm and fuzzy about that place,owner was nice, however, she always had help issue's.Her staff was constantly changing, The last time I went to pick up my dog,they were telling me she had urinated in the cage, and they had to wash her again,I could tell the new groomer was irritated, my husband who was with me, said he didn't like the vibe he was getting from her,well that night my normally happy go lucky little gal was sullen and withdrawn and that lasted until the following day. Umm no TLC there...... tried a few others in Contra Costa County,with not much success, low and behold, I stumbled upon heaven,where dogs are loved, and allowed to roam and play,and the best part is the staff,Kathleen,Allie,and Tony are amazing!!!! Kathleen is the owner,she is so incredibly smart when it comes to dog's, she is like a walking encyclopedia.Kathleen has helped me countless times with great advice,and every time she has been right on the money!Not to mention her generosity!!!!! I now have 3 dogs,one is high maintenance, she is my princess shitzu, she goes in every 2 week's my other 2, go in every 6 weeks or so,and they all love going there.It's a good sign when you walk in a place and the dogs aren't all barking in distress.You won't find a more genuine, and truly loving place, than All Breed Grooming!!! Kathleen is like a female Cesar Milan and Master groomer all rolled into one. She is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and issues that come along with owning one. I would recommend her with out hesitation and if you are lucky enough to get in....book your appts far in advance. Your dogs will go home happy and tired and beautiful. They do not sit in a crate all day, they are allowed to roam (as long as they are socialized) and play and drink and pee at will. Nothing is worse then picking up your pet and getting them home only to see them drink water like crazy and pee for long time. Both indicators of being crated all day. Kathleen takes the time to work with each individual dog to meet their needs and yours. I have known Kathleen for almost 25 years as she groomed my first standard poodle,Jett. Since then I have taken all my dogs to her even when I moved over an hour away. She is a real gem and the BEST GROOMER EVER!!!! read more

I haven't been able to get my long hair kitty groomed in years as he gets a bit unruly with groomers. Ive tried at least 10. I tried two other groomers before finding Kathleen. My dog loves going to the groomers, even though she hates getting a bath. Kathleen doesn't cage the dogs -- she lets them interact. I love the way she cuts my dog's hair. Plus, Kathleen knows everything there is to know about dogs. She discovered my dog was on too high a dosage of allergy medicine and recommended I switch vets.
