Great experience with Matt and Jazmin! So good, I am a repeat customer! I got Lucy in December 2018 after talking to Matt for a few weeks. She was a very small Frenchie, but very healthy and the perfect Christmas gift! Lucy is nothing short of amazing! She experienced a very traumatic event in her first month with me and she survived and came back stronger than ever. She is bonded with me and my first dog Otis. She is smart, funny, and really sweet. In April 2021, I got Stella after texting and talking to Jazmin for several weeks. Stella is a gorgeous blue fawn who was a few weeks older than Lucy when I picked her up and she is growing quickly. She is already a very big girl! Both dogs were very healthy from the start. Stella has never had worms, so that's amazing for a puppy! Lucy recently had a check-up and the vet said that she was the "healthiest and happiest dog I have seen all week!!". Matt and Jazmin were both easy to work with and I trusted them to deliver great and healthy dogs. I'd get another one from them, but I have my hands full with 3 Frenchies under one roof. I highly recommend them and their puppies. Top notch service and communication!

Jaz & Matt were so helpful and sent over tons of info ahead of time to make the transition a breeze. Will definitely be coming back when we decide to get him a sibling!!

After researching for 5 years and hearing a lot of horror stories we definitely had our reservations. But this process made me feel at ease and that we were dealing with the right people. I know there is a movement to buy puppies only from breeders where you get to see and meet both parents in order to ensure you are not supporting a puppy mill. It is clear that the breeders Bay Area Bulldogs work with are ethical, caring, and invested in the health and well-being of their puppies. I would definitely get another French bulldog from these guys!
I bought Peanut from Bay Area Bulldogs 2 years ago and I can honestly say it's the best decision I've made for me and my daughter. Peanut is such an easy-going, friendly and sociable dog - he get's along with everyone and is adorable! Jazmin was very communicative, friendly, responsive, and it was clear very early on that the pups health and well-being were the first priority. You can be assured they are very good people who want to ensure the pups are going to a good home. I sent her a text and within 30 mins, she had a call set up. She asked how much experience I had with the breed and with dogs in general. She was very clear on expectations and outlined how special the breed was. I chose a dog from her site and we began the adoption process. Jazmin was great when it came to every aspect of owning a Frenchie. She even texted me every few weeks just to see how the little dude was doing. This a long overdue review, but what better way to celebrate Riley's first birthday?! Matt was (and continues to be) incredible to work with and we are beyond happy to have Riley in our lives. Matt is very knowledgeable and stayed in close contact for several weeks after we got Riley - providing guidance and answering questions as we settled into dog ownership. We still keep in touch with Matt and you can tell how much he cares about each and every one of his pups. We would without a doubt recommend Bay Area Bulldogs to anyone interested in a Frenchie and have even stared talking about adding another to our family!

I came across Bay Area Bulldogs in early April via instagram. I picked up my boy Maverick (know as Dino at the time) on April 14th. Almost four months later and Maverick has been a nothing but joy to have around and I couldn't have asked for a higher quality pet than what I received. Pricey investment, but with out a doubt high quality and worth every every dime. I would purchase again. Coming from someone who's pretty much a first time pet owner, Jazmin was very accommodating and spent a lot of time texting back and forth making sure Maverick went to a good home by sharing tons of tips making my the entire process easy. She also checked in with me to see how Maverick was doing and was very responsive after the pickup. I would buy from them again and would 100% recommend. 5 stars! read more

Our frenchie zeke, just turned 1 in October of this year and on the 16th of this month (December 2021) he will have been a part of our family for exactly a year. He is a wonderful dog and was clearly raised in a loving and nurturing environment since the day he was born. He is healthy and has a wonderful personality. ***** Updated Response to Matt******** Wow... where do I even start here? As to your claim of providing me with a "clean bill of health," Yes you did provide me with a supposed clean bill of health. And yes as you described I did stay up til 3 am playing with Axel the night we got him (not really sure what that has to do with anything but ok ) but need I remind you at 3 a.m. it's dark outside? So if your new puppy had blood in his stool you probably wouldn't notice it, right? The next morning I woke up to find blood in his stool and contacted you though. Because again I got a "clean bill of health" so my first thought was "Why does my new puppy with a clean bill of health have blood in his stool?" After talking to you and Your partner and being assured that it's very common and easily treatable I still wanted to give you the benefit of doubt that you were a stand up breeder so I agreed to still give you a good review after you did agree to pay for all the costs to treat him. But after watching my pup Axel suffer through weeks of having meds pumped into him at such an early age to treat the Giardia that was not originally properly treated by his breeder leaving him with terrible gastric issues to this day and ohhhh by the way!!! HE STILL HAS INTERMITTENT BLOOD IN HIS STOOL. The vets are still trying to figure out why he is having so many gastric issues and why we cannot get rid of the blood in his stool. He had blood in his stool the morning after we got him. As I told you I caught him eating his own stool a fdays after we got him so your false claim that he reinfected himself is ridiculous. Again nice try..... As for my "2 months of no communication " I told you I was not going to let you pay for the vet bills and buy yourself a better yelp review. I told you and your partner to keep your money and that I was pulling my 5 star original review and wanted to make sure people knew exactly what kind of breeder you are. Why Would I waste my time conversing back and forth with you or take your "advice" after you sold me a sick puppy??? You obviously dont know what you're doing if your selling puppies that were as lethargic as Axel with copious amounts of blood in his stool (because again he did not develop these symptoms overnight from when I got him) As for our 2nd puppy we planned to get 2 puppies long before we got Axel and actually paid for him before we got Axel. We didn't exactly plan on receiving a lethargic extremely sick puppy infected with Giardia. Not that this has anything to do with my puppy I purchased from you (nice deflection attempt though) and Thanks again for your wonderful advice What really baffles me is how you breed these puppies and you really couldn't tell he was sick when you sold him to me??? Seeing Axel today with his energy levels up and finally gaining some weight back. It really blows my mind that you couldn't tell how sick he was when you had him. Honestly I've never had a Frenchie before so I didn't realize when I got him how skinny he was for a puppy until my neighbor (who has a 7 Y/O frenchie) pointed it out and what I originally mistook as him being very chill was actually him just being very sick. Plain and simple you sold me an extremely sick puppy. Next time do a better job of recognizing the signs of a sick puppy and treat them properly so the dogs do not suffer. Do a better job of preventing them from getting giardia and if you can't do that make sure 100% that the puppy is fully recovered before selling them. I can't help but get somewhat angered and emotional over this post because I love this puppy I purchased from you and due to your neglect prior to our purchase he is still suffering. I hope you learn from this and just do better for your future puppies. read more

We've had a great experience with Matt from Bay Area Bulldogs. We purchased two French Bulldogs (a brother and sister) last month, and they've been great. Matt worked with us for a couple of months to find the right dogs for us. Communication throughout the process was great, and the hand-off went smoothly. Our local vet gave the dogs a clean bill of health, and even posted a picture of the puppies on her Facebook page. Thanks so much! read more

After much research, Bay Area Bulldogs was the top breeder in the area that I decided to go visit. From the initial contact, Ian was professional and very interested in who would be purchasing one of his puppies. From the phone interview to the face to face, everything went smooth and extremely well. Once I saw his puppies, I instantly fell in love. I went to go see one puppy, but ended up falling in love with "Panda", who is now Gizmo, once he "chose" me and crawled into my lap. Ian then sat with me and gave me BUNDLES of care, training and general information on the French Bulldog breed. Seeing him take this time and not just hand him over, assured me that he knew what he was doing and really did want a good home for his pups. A month later, he checked in with me to see how Gizmo has adjusted and even invited us to a Frenchie meetup next month. If you are looking to purchase your new fur baby, look no further than Bay Area Bulldogs. I HIGHLY recommend them and will be going back a year or two down the line when, not if, I'm ready for my next frenchie baby! read more

5 star plus experience with Bay Area Bulldogs!!! They were absolutely amazing to work with from start to finish. Matt is Professional, knowledgeable and kind! He communicated with me during the waiting process and sent me the cutest pictures of my soon to be puppy Toad! I bought my frenchie Toad from them about a year ago. He is a handsome, healthy and silly frenchie that is my best friend! Toad has the best temperament, he was easily trained and is great with other dogs and people. And wait, did I mention how incredibly cute he is!!! I am currently in the process of considering another dog and although I have moved to Southern California, I will most definitely be contacting Bay Area Bulldogs again when the time is right! Excellent experience!!! My Frenchie is healthy and has the best personality ever. She is super playful and curious and loves all people and other animals. She is not scared of anything or anyone!! I will say that there is not much, if any, preliminary training that occurred with the puppy before I got her. She was not potty trained or leash trained, etc. but she is a quick learner and very smart. So definitely a great set of genes that she was bred from. Also, every interaction with the owners was very professional and top notch. They provide helpful advice and clear, consistent, and fast communication. Thank you for my sweetheart!!! read more

My little boy is the best thing that ever happened to our home! Matt was so thoughtful and sweet in providing us ongoing support in search of our second Frenchie. Our first boy is nearly 11 years old and needed a friend! GusGus is a perfect angel. We got him from Matt at 3 months old and he was nearly fully trained. Incredible! He is the sweetest, most thoughtful, loving animal ever and brings so much joy to our lives! He is a best friend to his old brother Frenchie. We purchased our dog "Boomer" from Bay Area Bulldogs over 3 years ago and I can say without any hesitation it has truly been one of the best experiences we as a family have ever had. I couldn't have been blessed with a more perfect dog. My Frenchie is only 12 weeks and she is an ANGEL from above. After just 4 days she knew how to sit. She is a fast learner and the sweetest most cuddly temperament. Upon entering Matt's house I could tell that it was an incredibly nurturing environment for these fur babies. I'm so happy with my puppy, she has forever changed my life for the better! read more

We bought our Randall from Bay Area bulldogs a week ago and have been very happy with the process and our new pup. Matt was very responsive when we had questions about buying and also about the breed in general, and after getting Randall we have been able to contact Matt about anything. I would strongly recommend you consider Ian (and Bay Area Bulldogs) if you're interested in getting a French Bulldog. As a first-time dog owner, I had a ton of questions about the breed and training, and Ian was always helpful and attentive in addressing my concerns. He provided a lot of feedback for the puppy socialization and transition to his new home, and showed genuine concern for his well being.
