I arrived right at closing time and was about to place my key in the after-hours drop box when two employees were leaving. One of them said, "we're closed." I explained that I was just dropping off my key and planned to use the drop box, or come inside if possible. He responded that the alarm had already been set. He did take my key, filled out a short form, and placed it in the box, which I appreciated. When I returned to pick up my car, I mentioned that a more courteous greeting--something like, "Hi, we're just closing, can I help you?"--would have made a difference. Cliff responded with, "I could have been polite, but you can go elsewhere." That interaction was disappointing and overshadowed an otherwise satisfactory service.
