They were highly responsive, professional, and easy to work with throughout the planning process. Additional to the emailing, Joe & Ken video-called us one week prior to our event to review the reception timetable, song requests, and venue details. Months prior to our event, Joe and Ken provided us access to their client portal. This portal allowed us to add the reception timetable, the names of our wedding party, songs for our grand entrance, the first dance song, the last song of the night, and other must-play songs. Joe hit every song we requested that night, including the Filipino line dance song in Tagalog. The dance floor was never stagnant or empty. All generations had the best time on the floor. If you have Spotify, then building a custom playlist for the night is easy to transfer over to the client portal in two mouse clicks. Speaking of the grand entrance, since my wife and I had a small ceremony last year with our immediate families only, we worked with Ken to customize our grand entrance to include a video of our ceremony highlights projected onto a curtain. We wanted our extended families and friends that were not able to witness last year's ceremony to watch our special moment as if they were there, too. Ken was able to edit our highlight video to 2-3 minutes. Once the pronouncement occurred in the video (I now pronounce you... you may now kiss the bride), my wife and I burst through the curtains like a high school football team at homecoming with our banger entrance song. The grand entrance was GRAND AF and our guests were hyped. We were told by numerous family members and friends that it was the best entrance they have ever seen - the projector image was clear from 100 feet away, the song was fun, and the timing was perfect. Also, our family and friends loved the Walking Photo Booth. Typically, my wife and I would wait in long lines at other weddings for the photo booth. This time around Mike from Amp Event Professionals had a handheld ring light photo booth that walked up to us. He was able to capture all the guests throughout the evening in their most spirited moments - into photos and GIFs! Super cool tech, super worth the add-on cost. We made sure to clear this Walking Photo Booth with our photographer since we were basically doubling our photo amount. My only suggestion when working with Joe and Ken is that you should hydrate a lot leading up to the celebration because both my quads cramped up hard that night from dancing so much. Seriously. We were all jumping, moving, and grooving for hours straight. Overall, they exceeded our expectations and gave us a night that we will cherish forever. We highly recommend Amp Event Professionals to anyone looking for respectful guys that just want to throw you the best dance party.

We decided to still have our ceremony and postpone our reception to next year. Ken was extremely accomodating and checked in with us numerous times throughout quarantine to make sure we were okay, and the transition process was seamless. He understood the difficult decision and never gave any push back on what we needed to do. With that being said, fast forward to our ceremony. When discussing our vision, Ken offered the ability to make it more personalized. This meant that he would record my Husband and I talked about how we met and basically tell our love story while the bridal party is walking down the aisle. Ken came over to our home and recorded us separately so I had no idea what my other half was saying until the Day of. Listening to it during the ceremony has me SOBBING even before I stepped out to walk down the aisle. After the ceremony, he sends us the clip allowing us to be able to listen to it over and over again. We already can't wait to work with him for our reception next year! He showed frustration towards our family during speeches, as well as with the bridal parties when getting ready to do our entrances into the reception. I also had given him a list of songs to NOT be played even if they were requested, he did not follow through with this. This guy is a trip and certainly not worth $1000, please do yourself a favor and avoid booking with him.

Cam shared helpful insights based on his past experiences while being incredibly accommodating. Perhaps most importantly, if we asked for something that may have slightly conflicted with his recommendation (e.g. we did not want uplighting) he was not judgmental and totally went with the flow. He even managed to get us a disco ball, per our special request! The result was IMO the best and most unique wedding dance party we could have asked for. If you like old school hip-hop, dance/electronic, and indie pop music (and loathe the chicken dance), we would highly recommend DJ Cam Jamz!! During the planning process, he was incredibly thorough and direct, which I appreciated. During your first meeting, he provides a portal where you can note any requests and no plays, in addition to specifiying your first dance, entrance choices, etc. Ruki coordinated with my friends for surprise dances and also provided excellent MC-ing such as calling out table numbers for the buffet. The amber uplighting and moving lights he provided in the South Asian package were also amazing and perfectly set the vibe I was going for! Ruki is no doubt the best at what he does and I can't wait to have another opportunity to hire him again for a work event or another occasion

We had contracted with Ruki Dole to be our DJ for three events during our wedding weekend. He did…read morenot show up due to a food poisoning, which we would completely understand if it is the case. However, 10 days before our wedding, we had a meeting with him to review the details. Afterwards, we emailed him a couple of times with some changes and questions and we did not hear back at all. Not from him or anyone else on his team. The replacement DJ he sent for the wedding ceremony was very clearly not prepared. During the wedding weekend, the replacements he sent were mediocre at best. For the Sangeet and Reception, the DJs were fine and we were grateful the events went on without much trouble. However, for our wedding ceremony, the DJ he sent was terrible. The DJ did not mix the songs during the Baarat, he would continue playing whole songs from a playlist we provided. The least he could have done was mixed the songs to appropriate lengths. During the ceremony, he failed to play the Phera music on time and he didn't even announce us as husband and wife at the end of the ceremony. He also did not play our exit song when we walked down the aisle after the wedding. On top of that, when our wedding planner asked him to announce something, it would be so muffled that no one heard him, and in some cases he just didn't announce it. During our Vidai, the DJ was no where to be found. Once our planner located him, it took him forever to set up the speaker which he couldn't even bring outside afterwards (it was supposed to be a mobile DJ cart to move from inside to outside the venue for the Vidai). This is very frustrating considering we provided Ruki with detailed spreadsheets including all of this information, we provided multiple playlists to play during the events (which he said would be mixed), and our planner provided a detailed timeline as well. We had also discussed him providing MC services during our reception which was not able to be fulfilled by the replacement DJ. He couldn't even attempt to pronounce our names, let alone introduce the rest of the family entrances. Because of this, we had the extra stress of figuring out someone else to MC the reception within hours. Overall, yes, Ruki sent replacement DJs and did not leave us hanging which we are grateful for. However, the DJs were not up to the standard based on the investment we made (especially the DJ during the wedding ceremony). It has been nearly 3 weeks since our wedding, and we have not heard from Ruki with any sort of explanation or apology. I would not recommend.
