Then, the previous owner had some valves replaced, and when their service person pushed on some pvc pipes that weren't properly secured, he broke the system, which eroded my whole side yard, and sent water up against our foundation. I called to ask about them coming out to fix the problem. They scheduled an appointment to come out on Tuesday. The scheduler was not very friendly either. After waiting for an hour after the appointment, they called and said they weren't going to service our address. So they are refusing to honor their warranty, and they refuse to tell us why they won't take care of their work! What a joke this place is!!

I called a company I had used before, Precision Plumbing, and they said they could be there that day; however, later in the day, they asked if they could outsource to an affiliate of theirs, which ended up being Zoom Drain. Precision had guaranteed me an arrival time after 5pm; I received a text from Zoom Drain saying they'd text me 30-45 minutes before they arrive, and Precision told me Zoom would be there 2-6pm. I received a call around 2pm and they showed up around 2:30pm. Wyatt, the technician that showed up (there were two people, I believe, though) was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it. They were in and out within half an hour. The total price was $666 (ominous, ha) and that included the time and the work - they had to move both toilets to get to the pipes, my fiance said (I was working downstairs during that time), unclog both, and then put both back. Would use Zoom Drain again - I see they're in Clarkston, same as Precision Plumbing (Troy area, but their tech was in Clarkston that day too), but they were able to come to my fiance's house in Farmington Hills which was nice.

Unfortunately, they could not remove the clog and had to return the next day with a ladder to access the roof vent. Within 10 minutes, the vent was cleared, and the clogged drain was flowing. The four men who worked on this project were very friendly, professional, and respectful of my property. I am very pleased with the work provided and will use them again should a plumbing need arise. The only negative I have is that they did not tell me about the different discounts available; be sure to check their website.

Well, the day after we posted the review about them not showing up, they called to (re) schedule…read more This time, they did arrive, and on time. The plumber did not have a mask but was willing to put one on. The original diagnosis had been defective or clogged cartridges in the leaking faucets. The plumber replaced the parts, but the faucets are still leaking. Now he says the entire faucet must be defective. So they misdiagnosed the problem and still charged for the failed repair. Still charged what seems like a LOT of money $500/hour, for one plumber, and this was an alleged discounted price. The plumber blamed the make of the faucets (Moen, usually considered a good brand, we got them at costco), and offered to expensively, but with an alleged discount, replace them with Delta faucets. overall, a disappointing and expensive mistake. Added a star for masking and showing up. Will look elsewhere in future.
