I Initially called unaware that they did not operate on Saturdays (needed my brake pads replaced) and Julio happened to be at the shop that Saturday and completely went above and beyond and offered to service my car since he would already be at the shop for his own personal reason. Not only did he service my car but he was so professional and inviting as I waited in the lobby. I have found an honest car mechanic, who is a talented mechanic, who has a true passion to solve clients' car issues, and who is a dream-come-true in his honesty in pricing parts and labor, something that has always been so hard, not only today, but also when I was a teen decades ago in the 1970s. Back then in Miami I attended a car mechanic's class at night school geared for women just to educate women of all the scams mechanics can do to women because like today, in the 70s mechanics here in Miami took terrible advantage of most women's lack of knowledge about fixing cars and would often even sabotage their cars to bring back the woman for more repairs. Sharky was the nickname of that teacher who ran that class geared to help a woman not get ripped off. Well, if Sharky were teaching that class today for certain he would point all women to go only to All Import Tech and hand their cars to Julio, the owner, with great peace of mind that the job would be done right, and at a cost only their own family would give them which would be truly fair and free of any price gouging. For certain, I am at a loss of proper words to explain the level of fair pricing Julio Martinez charges--in fact he apologized to me for a little bit of profit he was charging over the cost of the parts for repairs I had thought I could never afford after another mechanic whom I had known for years to be 'honest' had quoted me a $1500 price that was on par with quotes I researched online, but for which All Import Tech charged me over $1000 LESS, yes, less! It was because of such unheard of fair labor and markup to his costs that I have my car back again, running like new. As a widow on fixed income, after getting steep prices for the issues my car was having that made me certain I was going to lose my car unable to afford those prices, to receive such a quote in my budget from the owner of All Import Tech, and with him apologizing about his unbelievable fabulous price of honesty unheard of, I knew my search for an honest mechanic had ended. I wish Yelp let me give 10 stars, because Julio deserves all of them. I moved down from New York to Miami for medical school last August. My dad was himself a mechanic for many years, so naturally he was worried about me having car problems and not knowing who to go to turn to / be able to trust down here. Especially given that as a student I'm driving a 1999 Accord with, shall we say, significant miles under its belt. Yikes lol Another medical student recommended Julio to me a few months ago because I was having an electrical issue with the car. It was legitimately the most pleasant experience I could have dreamed of: Julio promptly returns your phone calls to keep you informed of progress, he works quickly, does reliable work, is direct and upfront about the condition of your car, and will not do any work on it before discussing the problems at hand with you and MUTUALLY agreeing on how to proceed without putting ANY pressure on you to agree to extra maintenance, etc. The thing that says it all is that my dad spoke with Julio on the phone, and has been emphatically singing his praises ever since. If a father who was a mechanic will wholeheartedly trust his little girl with someone, you have to know that's legit haha. Recently, I was in a minor accident and my father wanted Julio to check the car to make sure everything was running correctly. I only needed a brake job but Julio went above and beyond and actually took a forklift (!!!) and a littlengenuity and straightened out my hood that was folded up from the accident. Body work is not in Julio's job description but he did this for me to make sure I would be safe driving it. AND... he did it for free. Not only that, he also knows other trustworthy people in the industry and will happily help you direct any out-of-scope issue (body work, towing, etc.) to them. He even called up his contact that he trusts at a body shop down the street, had the guy come over while he was working on my car, and had a body work estimate ready and waiting for me when I picked up my car. He could have given me a phone number and left it at that, but as usual, he went the extra mile. What price can you put on a peace of mind? Julio is crafty, bright, efficient and could charge double what he does because of his credibility in his field. But he is the rare diamond in the rough that does the right thing simply because that is how he operates. Brought my VW Jetta in for electrical problems and they fixed it for me right away while other mechanics I've taken to have never quite been able to fix it. A few days later I had some engine problems that were unrelated, and they told me to come right back in and it was fixed within a few hours. I took my VW Jetta here last year to get an oil change and figure out why my AC was blowing warm and why my car was vibrating when I went over 70 mph. As a woman, it can be intimidating to go into an auto repair shop alone. But Julio treated me with respect, and did not try to talk me into any unnecessary repairs. He gave me two price options for an axle that needed repairing, and the oil change was cheaper than the dealer. I didn't get my AC fixed that day, but I wish I did. He quoted me at $900 to replace the compressor, but I decided to wait it out and get a second opinion. Ended up getting it done this weekend for $1450 at another shop. Giving them 4 stars for the overall experience and the prices. Had to knock off a star because fixing the axle did not fix the vibration (it actually needed an alignment). He told me it was a bigger issue then he could handle and to take it into Braman Honda. They told me I had so many things wrong with my car and wanted to charge me almost 1500 in repairs. My car had been making a rattling sound and I went to All Import Tech based on all the good reviews they've gotten. Julio took a look at my car, and told me I had extensive rust damage to the underside. He told me the immediate problem was with my muffler and he couldn't really do much about it. He referred me to a guy at Caribe Muffler, who he said he definitely trusted. Julio even called the guy for me, got me a quote, and asked him to help me out. I ended up going to Caribe Muffler and they took care of the problem. Overall, Julio at All Import Tech was extremely helpful, super nice, and very honest and upfront. First of all, in Miami where there is a mechanic in every corner I have to honestly say Julio and his team are the epitome of what a trustworthy extremely knowledgeable mechanic is. I have been going to him for years. He has serviced all my cars from 7.3l F350 to my current Jeep Wrangler, and everything in between. Thank god I live a few blocks away, but even if I lived miles away I'd drive here and nowhere else. He always finds the issue and doesn't inflate the situation to take advantage, he even takes his time to find the part he needs for the lowest price possible (saving you money). Julio has an amazing team, he surrounds himself by family and close friends and they have an incredible work-relationship. I'm not amazed that he has all 5 star reviews, I will absolutely say anyone posting anything less is trying to be the one person to stand out in the review list, but their reviews aren't valid. This review is long over due. First would like to Thank Yelp.. otherwise I would not have found this shop. Even living 5 miles away. Long story short. Was pulled over for not having my brake lights working. Received an expensive ticket. Call All Import Tech (after reading all the reviews on Yelp) and spoke to Julio. Mentioned the fact that I had changed my light bulb 5 times already, lights work but after a few weeks stop working. Julio told me what might be wrong but of course he would need to see it. Made arrangements to swing by during my lunch break. I arrived at the wrong time, as most of the mechanics were out to lunch. NOT Julio. He came out with hands full of grease and explained he was a bit short staff but to give him 5 mins. 5 mins later, Julio was looking at my car. 15 mins later my car was fixed and the damage was less than a drive thru lunch. Crazy!! Any other shop would have said it was the light assembly as they have in the past. Not this place. Julio was straight up honest. Lights had a bad connection and also needed a new bulb. Its not easy finding good, honest, reliable shops in Miami-Dade. Also working with Julio and his staff makes you feel like you've known them forever. Awesome attitude. Lucky for me and thanks to Yelp I found my shop for years to come. This happened about 2 months ago (hence the long overdue review). Since then I've recommend them to all my friends and family. After my 4th visit with Julio I have to say "he can't be trusted"! HE DOES NOT LISTEN TO CUSTOMER INPUT! Julio quoted me a $90 estimate for replacing a Harmonic Balancer on my car engine. After I explicitly told him twice that it was a V-8 setup and the engine would require lowering. He still didn't take a moment to listen to me and continued to quote me $90. I was shocked when I called his wife and she tells me the total bill came out at $802 after taxes. Despite Julio discounting $70 off my bill I was very upset by the fact that no one there had the "common sense" to have given me a call to tell me i would be paying $712 more than originally quoted. That is what really got me!! To make matters worse me and my father brought Julio a SECOND VEHICLE with a high speed vibration. HE WAS CONFIDENT THAT HE COULD SOLVE THE VIBRATION ISSUE, install new spark plugs and retread one exhaust header bolt. But $280 later the car left his shop worse then when it came in for repair. Julio is clueless and a complete liar because it took me 30 seconds of driving on the highway to feel that my car still had the vibration he told us he eliminated. He evidently took a test drive and commented of "How smooth it drove compared to before it came in". Any "sane human being" could have driven that car for 1 minute and told him that it was still vibrating. He also adjusted our carburetor and I have to say that "THIS MAN CAN`T ADJUST A CARBURETOR TO SAVE HIS LIFE!!" Even after ALL these things happened I would have returned for future repairs but it was the quality of the work that APPALLED ME. After the car began misfiring soon after I was once again shocked as if the first time wasn't enough, That upon removal of the spark plugs 1 was cracked and not tightened properly and the other 7 were excessively tight. I was also very upset to find that 2 out of 6 header bolts were stripped by his mechanic and the third bolt FORCED at an angle into the cylinder head. On top of taking our money and doing NOTHING good for us we finished with 3 stripped bolts versus the 1 it came to him with. "I don't have to be charged to damage my own car I could have done that for free"! Julio should have just told us that his shop "Wasn't qualified to perform the drive line vibration repair" And we would have happily gone some place else! INSTEAD HE WASTED 14 DAYS REPLACING TWO U-JOINTS. WE WILL NEVER AGAIN BE GIVING OUR MONEY TO ALL IMPORT TECH!!!!! read more

I brought my Honda in for service a few weeks ago. Initially, I had gotten my car looked at in a nearby dealership, and they recommended several very expensive repairs. I know exactly nothing about cars, but I felt it important to get a second opinion. That's how I ended up at All Import Tech, and I'm glad I did. As many others here have mentioned, Juilio is great. I agree - he runs a great shop. I was fortunate to get a bunch of face time with him, and got to inquire as to why the dealership was suggestions 10x the cost in repairs. All Import Tech, and Julio, do great work, at a reasonable price, and seem to be more interested in getting your regular business than in getting the most money they can out of you in one shot. So lucky to have found this mechanic! My car broke down on the 826 so after reading the reviews on Yelp, I had my car towed nearby to All Import Tech. It was inspected and fixed all in the same day: Monday within 5 hours. Two belts needed to be replaced. My brakes were shot as well so I had those replaced. Julio was honest about my car and gave me a reasonable quote. Before I had my car towed here I called a mechanic I had always gone to, but Julio, a mechanic I had never met, was much more reliable and professional which I respect. I don't think I've ever left an auto garage happier. I took my car to another auto shop because my brakes weren't working properly. The shop "diagnosed" the issue and wanted to charge me almost $600 for the repair. If I'm going to be spending money like that, I like to get a second opinion. I found these guys on Yelp and I gave them a call. The mechanic was so helpful and patient with me over the phone. He took the time to explain that he felt that the problem with the car was something much different so I decided to take it in so he could check the car out. I brought my car in and was attended to immediately. They brought me into the garage to show me exactly where the problem was. Surprise! It wasn't the initial diagnosis. Spoke to Julio about my son's Honda Civic Si clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder replacement and he was very helpful to get me the quote calling the Braman honda for OEM and after market parts also which is was very fair for the job, fortunate my son's car was cover by the COP and the dealer was able to take care of it, but without a doubt I will be taking the car here for any future issues not cover by the warranty.
