His quote was incredibly fair, but he first needed to test the carpets for color fastness to make sure they'd hold the dye. Leslie called us the following evening and let us know that the carpets would not hold the dye. Although we didn't end up doing business with him, we would certainly use JCCC and Leslie for carpet cleaning!

I called back and spoke with him and gave him my address. it's a third floor apartment and he said he'd have to get a few things before doing a 3rd floor job. He'd be by around 10-10:30am. I stayed home all day waiting for him. By 2pm. He hadn't shown up or called I called the office number and left a message. Later that day I sent a text saying "I guess you are not showing up". He texts me back I've been here all day!! So if he didn't write my address down why didn't he just call on his way and I would have sent him my address by text. It's so silly to not show up. We we were planning to replace the carpet, but since the new tenant wanted to move so quickly there just wasn't time, so we thought we'd give it one more shot with a good cleaning. I honestly wasn't very optimistic that the carpet could be saved, but Gold Medal did a great job! They were able to get there on short notice, did the job quickly and thoroughly, and for a reasonable price. They also did an enzyme treatment to get red of the pet smell from the previous tenants, and it worked great. I've had that carpet cleaned before, but none of them were this good - the carpet seriously looked good as new and smelled a million times better, and the new tenant is happy! It took an extra trip and some more money to make it right, but he did make it right in the end ultimately. I have expensive floor to floor wool carpeting and it's been impossible to find a wool carpet cleaner. It took many referrals until I finally got a hold of a company to clean- this company. I would give Alec and his company a shot, especially if you have wool carpeting. Tip of advice- if you are doing carpet cleaning, try to do it on a day that's not rainy and or too humid outside as the drier it is outside, the easier it is for your carpet to try and to avoid brown out/wicking of your carpet.

We requested steam cleaning and once the tech arrived, he suggested that we try a newer technology, low-moisture cleaning. In the past, living in a second floor condo, service required more equipment and typically two persons for a cleaning. We tried the low-moisture cleaning which looked just ok when done. We were told it should lighten up once dry and he said "It's not bad. It looks better than before." We decided to take a wait and see approach. After several weeks, the carpet looked liked it hadn't been cleaned at all. We believe without the hot water extraction, the dirt deep down wasn't adequately removed. We wouldn't choose the low-moisture option again. Pricing was fair though I believe we had a smaller number of rooms done than in previous visits.
