He came out, ran me through the options, and was able to work with my tight schedule. Had some interior painting done and the project was finished a day earlier than anticipated and looks great! I'd like to respond to Joe's response. I think it is extremely odd that me being a friend of the owner only became an issue later on...when I called and set up the initial appointment for him to come out and quote the work he didn't express any concern about it....when he came out to the property and met with me, he knew I was collecting the bid of behalf of someone else whom we later called on the phone together (and by the way Joe asked me what she does for a living- I think that is an inappropriate question but I told him and he said people in her line of work do really well for themsleves)..when I called Joe a week later after receiving the quote via email, he said absolutely NOTHING over the phone about demanding so much money bc he wasn't able to meet the owner. He didn't even ask if she would be in town soon to negotiate, meet in person, etc. He didn't offer any sort of compromise other than 60,20,20. No person in their right mind would hand over 60 percent of the overall bid before the project has even started. I asked him if we could pay for all of the materials upfront and he said no. What Joe said was this, "This is my company and I get to set the percentages. If you are unhappy with them, you are welcome to find someone else to do the project." When I first called him after finding him on yelp, he said he could get his guys into our building in the next 2 weeks. After our conversation on the phone and I gave him some push back about the percentages, now he suddenly didn't have anyone available for 2 months. I don't think it is fair now, after the fact, to fabricate reasons for the unreasonable percentages. I hope moving forward, honesty is considered necessary to their business model. I took a chance on using this company after seeing the great photos and reviews and am very happy I did. Joe and his team were professional, clean, courteous, on time and handled every detail with the utmost attention. They were hired to take a closed off staircase and convert it back into a usable area to connect two apartments. No easy feat, but they managed to replace the walls, and even rebuild some of the stairs. Meanwhile, they renovated my 106 year old original bathroom. Nothing about that job seemed to be easy given the heavy duty infrastructure that had to be removed. But the crew came out every day, including Saturdays, to get it done in time for my major surgery. Even after being paid in full, they came out again to tweak a minor water pressure problem. That is something you can't always count on with a contractor in a big city. Joe K. stayed on top of all the details, and was an excellent communicator. I will be hiring this group again for future projects. It's great to have someone you can count on! read more

I recently started working with Joe, and the service he and his company provides is impeccable. I work on a real estate team with high volume sales and we're always needing some type of work done on our properties. Joe has a team of flooring contractors, electricians, plumbers, handymen, and much more. This was a great one stop shop for our condo building when we wanted to replace the carpet, paint and lights in our foyer and common stairwells. We also wanted some tile in our lobby area. Joe was able to give us access to a tremendous amount of high quality commercial carpet samples and the pricing was competitive if not better than the other three quotes that we received from other Chicago carpet companies. He also negotiated pricing and contracted out paint, tile and lighting to his subcontractor Jesse who gave us a very competitive price. Joe made sure that all of the work through the different phases was done on time, within our budget and correctly. If there was a potential issue or new discovery, he alerted us right away and provided options. All of the members of his team were very professional and did a great job within their part of the project. These types of remodels can very frustrating but Joe made it simple for us. Typically, when I work with a similar type of services companies, there is always at least one improvement but I don't have anything that All in Services Group could have done better- they did a fantastic job and I would recommend them to anyone needing this type of work done in their condos, buildings or family homes. read more
