I am extremely disappointed with my experience with All My Sons Moving and feel as though we were taken advantage of. When booking, we were led to believe our move would cost around $1,500. Instead, our final bill was over $3,300--more than double what we anticipated. One of the main reasons we chose this company was because we were promised a 20% military discount. We actually canceled with another moving company based on that representation. When it came time to pay, I specifically asked where the military discount had been applied because I could not identify it on the invoice. The gentleman I spoke with was unable to explain where or how the discount had been applied, and after getting the runaround, I was told to review the invoice and let them know if I had any questions. After reviewing the invoice, all I could identify was the company's standard rate, and I still could not determine where the promised discount had been applied. The movers arrived at 10:00 a.m., but the fourth mover did not arrive until after 11:00 a.m. Despite that, we were billed as if four movers were present for the entire move. I do not believe customers should be charged for labor that was not provided. Additionally, while the crew lead was very nice and respectful, he appeared to spend much of the day outside listening to music and socializing while the rest of the crew completed the move. If we are paying for a crew of four movers, I would expect four movers actively working on the move, not two or three while one crew member spends a significant amount of time off the job. When I paid, I was specifically told that if the crew finished earlier than estimated, any unused time would be credited back and that billing adjustments were calculated in 15-minute increments. The crew finished approximately 30 minutes earlier than the time we were ultimately billed through, yet no adjustment was made. What has been even more frustrating is the complete lack of communication afterward. Our move took place on June 13, and the final invoice was sent at 7:45 p.m. that same evening. I emailed with concerns regarding the billing on June 15 and followed up again on June 17. As of June 29, I still have not received any response. Mistakes can happen, but ignoring a customer's legitimate billing concerns for over two weeks is unacceptable. Unfortunately, the lack of transparency, unexpected costs, billing discrepancies, and complete lack of follow-up have left me feeling highly disappointed and taken advantage of. this is an awful company that will nickel and dime you from start to finish. They arrived at my apartment at roughly 8 AM did not enter my Apartment until about 8:30 AM and started billing me instantly. they did not start moving anything my apartment until roughly 9 AM. up a whole pack of tape to tape two items and charge me roughly $20 after I that I had my own tape and then they used my tape. I called to get a refund that I was supposed to receive for an hour because they had finished at 12:30, but according to people at the call center they didn't leave until 1 o'clock, which was them sitting in the driveway doing absolutely nothing after they had already finished moving everything into my apartment. My furniture was damaged, boxes that were supposed to to our home were taken to storage (everything was clearly marked and color coded), they charged $3000 more than the quote and the team complained about their tip. They also charged me for the time they took to have their meal (almost 2 hours). I couldn't give them more because of the unexpected upcharge. I sent a complaint to the BBB since no one in the company would return my calls and I also submitted an insurance claim through the insurance I bought through them, and still no response. I was the first move scheduled for the day between 8 and 10AM. The driver called me at 7:30 and said he was about 20 minutes away. So, they were definitely on time. absolutely the WORST moving experience of my life. these people are unorganized, lazy, they complain and Gripe about every little box. terrible attitudes. One girl was on her period and just as pissy and griping about everything under the sun you can imagine. we should never have even known she was on her period in the first place. the crew leader (big G) threatened to " tear you up" in my husbands face for helping out IN OUR OWN HOME!!!!!!! and when I called to discuss with the manager,( Logan) he told me "I was blowing things out of proportion" instead of giving the customer service he should have. I was literally in tears at one point because it was so bad. There are tons of hidden charges. they left a truck off our delivery until the end of the day, then charged me to unload it after hours , even though it was their fault for the truck not showing up. they just put stuff every and anywhere, even though all rooms and items were labeled to exactly where they go in the house. they left trash everywhere, didn't finish assembling our furniture, milked the clock terribly. ( we were told 6 hours to load, which they SLOOOOOWLY stretched to 10 hours) BIG LESSON......never hire BTH movers. Broke a box of Kitchen Platters and I have yet to hear from them on the compensation for that. it was very very stressful, unprofessional, and the most rude people in a service related business I have ever come across. I've moved 11 times in the last 20 years so you could say I know a thing or two about it. Although I had a good experience with Top Dog twice in the past, we decided to hire more mature professionals (or so we thought) rather than college students, and decided upon All My Sons. My bf had an excellent experience getting a quote, strategizing on what works best for our items, etc. Because I was so exhausted/stressed with packing and whatnot, I did not do my usual due diligence and research, which typically includes a thorough review of Yelp. Boy, I sure wish I had. So many of the reviews posted here are exactly the same as our (negative) experience. It is interesting that the business manager replies/apologizes, but then it doesn't seem like anything actually changes. My bf has called and emailed them directly per the "standard" public response they provide disgruntled customers, it's been weeks and no one responded. I can assure you that we will never use this company again nor would we recommend them to anyone else. If the business owner is interested in issuing us any kind of refund or compensation, that is the only contact that I would appreciate and receive. More of the specifics: The day started off on a bad note when the truck arrived at 9:45 when we were given a window from 8-10 am. We had really hoped we could get an early start, and every other moving company I've ever hired has always been there bright and early (sometimes before I was even ready for them!). There were four people for a ~2,800 square foot home (appropriate). The leader (Eric) seemed to know what he was doing, but didn't crack the whip whatsoever on the crew. They were EXTREMELY SLOW. We had rented a second U-Haul to move our large plants (the company does not move live plants as a policy) and although we explained many times that we needed to return the truck by 3:30 pm, and were given multiple assurances that they would be done by then, this crew did not finish until 8 pm, and that is only because my bf and I started putting in more effort than the actual workers. One of the crew members was female. And listen, as a woman, I would never discriminate or assume that someone was incapable of a job based on their demographics. It was also her first day on the job. She refused to carry heavy items and was more interested in chit-chatting than actually being helpful. One of the guys was actually competent and capable. The entire house smelled like weed, constantly. So yeah, not exactly the A-Team, but I guess that's what you get a few days before Christmas. The only reason they get a two-star review as opposed to one is that they really did a great job of wrapping our furniture and unpacking it carefully. Nothing broke, not even a scratch. They did misplace the feet of one of our sofas and the female was useless in looking for it so I went around to all of their boxes shining a flashlight inside and found them myself. NEVER. AGAIN. They also damaged my home in several places while moving it in. Had to go through their claims process and got pennies on the dollar for the damage. But the moment the crew arrived, everything changed. We were told ahead of time that clothes could stay on hangers and even inside dressers -- but when the crew showed up, suddenly that wasn't an option. And that was only the beginning. Shortly after their walkthrough, I was pulled aside by an "operations manager" who claimed the crew couldn't work in our home due to a so-called *"hazardous environment."* When I pressed for details, no one could give a straight answer. After going in circles, the crew finally admitted it was because the house "kinda smelled like dog." For context: we have ONE dog that doesn't shed, never has accidents, and we had just had the house professionally cleaned. I spoke with three different managers, each giving me a different excuse -- too many boxes, maybe the house was "stuffy," etc. Not one of them took accountability. The remote manager, Josh, even offered to send another crew *the next day* and "knock \$50 off" the cost. We were about to spend thousands with this company, and that was their solution? An insult. Between Josh, Hank, and the crew, this company showed zero professionalism, zero resolution skills, and clearly zero respect for their customers. The driver was the only person in our move who worked hard, he ended up spending more time yelling at the other workers to stay on task and work quickly. $2200 for moving 4000lb of furniture 5 miles to a storage unit. When I called the office to have the price adjusted and discuss the service I was given skepticism and blatant disregard of my concerns. It would be one thing if the office was responsive but when only one mover cares about getting the job done quickly and efficiently he isn't gonna be successful. They set us up to fail, knew that the move was taking far longer than it should have taken and did not offer any compensation for it. I had an extremely disappointing experience with All My Sons Moving Company in Roswell, GA. I hired them expecting professionalism and care, but what I got was negligence, poor service and over charged. I was quoted $149 for 1st 3hrs at the end I was out of $1278.00 I moved from a 711sq ft 1 bedroom condo and I did the majority of the moving the week prior to "All My Sons". They were to move a sofa, bed and chest and about 12 boxs which I had packed and sealed ready for transport. They arrived @ 3:15pm and ended @ 11:59pm. They were milking the clock. No sense of urgency The movers failed to properly pad and wrap my belongings, which resulted in significant damage to several household items, including valuable and sentimental possessions. To make matters worse, my newly constructed home was also damaged during the move. This lack of care and attention to detail was unacceptable. When I reached out to address these issues, the response was underwhelming, with no clear resolution or accountability. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with careless handling of your belongings and property. I trusted All My Sons Moving Company because of their reputation, but my experience was far from what I expected. I asked for quotes. The first quote I got they mentioned "transparency" with their prices and said its $175 per hour for 2 men. Not a problem. I reached back out via a different account, 2 weeks later. Their transparency seems to have been lost because now they said $525 for the first 2 hours and then $175 per hour after. Get you s- together and quote people constantly and stop randomly changing prices on people and you wouldn't have a 1.5 on yelp. The moving team showed up to our house, did a walk through, and then went outside to call their manager. When we went outside to see what was going on, the movers wouldn't tell us the issue and instead were directing us to the manager on the phone. The manager said our house was a "hazard" because it "smelled like dog". We have 1 dog who was not present at the time and barely sheds. The movers refused to move our stuff because of a supposed "smell". we called and spoke with 2 different managers who were completely useless and told us multiple different stories as to why the moving team wouldn't move our stuff. the manager ended up offering a whopping $50 off if we still decided to use them. We hired them to move a couple pieces of furniture in our house. When they showed up, they had no equipment that was promised to help move our furniture. Then they tried to get our piano up the stairs, destroying the walls and piano in the process. After a few steps they decided they couldn't do it. Then they moved a large filing cabinet upstairs and lo and behold same damage done to our walls and furniture and even worse, they didn't even put it in the spot we requested for them to put it in, so I had to move it myself anyways. When we called asking for a refund due to the fact that SERVICES WERE NOT RENDERED. All they offered was 50 off the 600 dollar deposit. We called another day on a week day and they offered 100 off on that. The man I spoke to, Joe, was also extremely smug and acted like they did the world a favor just because they showed up. Horrible company. Total ripoff with hidden charges they don't tell you about when you call to book. The movers were fine. But the company charges you for "drive time" from their office to your home, so that adds an hour to your charge for the full crew, so if you have a crew of 3 it adds $190 for them to drive to your home before any move has started. This was never explained to us. Then, we were charged nearly $100 for "moving supplies" which consisted of a little shrink wrap and a mattress bag. That's it. $100 for that! They also did a bait and switch on the initial price, trying to add $60 to the hourly charge when they called and said they could come earlier for our job due to their scheduling issues. Later i was contacted by someone else who upsold me to a 5 man crew. The day of my move September 28, 2024 a 5 man crew arrived only 3 of them worked. Two of them quit. The move began at 9:00 am and ended at 12:00 am. The deceptive business practices start with the misleading quotes. The next issue is send people who are new on a big move and not advising the customer. The final issue providing the invoice once the truck has arrived at the new location. I spoke to Cory he didn't want to discuss anything except the final bill. He advised if I didn't pay they would take my items back to the pickup location and put them outside. This was the absolute worst moving experience I've ever had. What should have been a 5 hour move took 9 and we paid nearly double what we expected. Not to mention, we bought the guys lunch (Chick-Fil-A....which one of them complained about). The three guys who came to move us argued the entire day to the point where I wanted to intervene. Two guys spent 45 minutes incompetently putting together a simple bed frame. My husband had to completely re-do it and it took maybe 10 minutes by himself. The best part - most of our boxes were only unloaded to the garage, not upstairs to the bedrooms. So we had to move them all inside and upstairs ourselves. Well, my husband had to. I'm pregnant which is why we wanted movers in the first place. Honestly, we could have done it better and much faster ourselves with some friends. I want to be appreciative and I know they did some hard work, but no way should it have taken that long. An already stressful day turned into a miserable one because of their arguing and slowness. Horrible experience with this horrible company. Stay away! I scheduled a move for August 30 in the beginning of the month. I let the representative know that I would need to be out of the house by the end of the day on the 30th. They let me know that the movers would arrive between 8-10am that day. 3 days before the move, they called to go over details of the move and nonchalantly mentioned that I am the second move of the day and they couldn't guarantee a time they would arrive. On the day of, I called at 1pm and they said they were close. At 3:30, I called again and they said they wouldn't be able to come at all that day. I had to pay my landlord $600 to stay an extra day. When I asked how I got switched to the second move, everyone on the phone gaslit me and said that was never noted. The movers arrived one day late. The movers were Juran, Nick, and a female whose name I don't know. Nice was polite, respectful, and accommodating. Juran was rude, aggressive, hot-tempered, and unprofessional. The lady did the job but she smelled absolutely rancid and had a chip on her shoulder. I tipped Nick for his professionalism and manners. I did not tip the other two because they did bare minimum and were entitled. When I didn't tip Juran, he proceeded to throw my items down, barely acknowledge me, and give me even more attitude. I called for a quote and was quoted for 149 hourly rate. Then was quoted a $60 travel fee. I expected to pay a little over $200 to move a few left over miscellaneous items. It was all completed within the hour. They would not unload my stuff until they scammed me for the remaining balance of $347 additional. So the move that should have cost a little over 200 ended up costing 477! Oh and the place they drove the stuff to was a few hundred feet away. If you like to pay way more for services rendered then they are the moving place for you! If not, save your money and aggravation. read more

This place is a scam. No one knows what is going on, there was 0 communication, and we were way overcharged. Our movers were supposed to arrive between 12-2 pm. We called multiple times for an update, no update was given. Finally, the driver called at 5:45 pm and asked if we still wanted to be moved. We were fined from our apartment and our new house HOA because they moved us at night. Took 6 hours to move from a 2 br apartment toa house. We called the next day as stuff was broken and we were fined for moving after hours. We were "told" that they would look at the truck tape? Never got a call back.
