This was my second time using Bellhops and it was another great experience. Nicholas S. came to my apartment early and assessed what needed to be moved. When Kevin M. and Lawrence K. arrived they all got straight to work. My things were handled with care and wrapped nicely to protect the bigger items. This was my second time working with Kevin M. (he moved me in and out of my apartment), and he was a great lead. He, and everyone really, made sure to communicate through every step of the process. They worked hard and finished under the time I had booked them for. Which brings me to another feature of theirs that I love. You have to book a set number of hours and bellhops before you move, and they do take the total quote out of your card a few days prior to the move. However, if you go under time, they only charge for the time you used and adjust your bill accordingly. I also didn't feel like the bellhops were "lagging" or "stalling" at all to make it to the full four hours. They really are in it to complete your move as efficiently, quickly and carefully as possible. I will definitely be using Bellhops for any future moves! read more

Do NOT use Bellhop! Many items went missing or were broken during the move, even though Bellhop said a dedicated moving truck only for your move would make sure everything arrived safe and sound to you. Really unreliable company! And it's impossible to get anyone from the company on the phone to answer your questions or provide information. Disorganized disaster of a company. We had a horrible experience with Bellhop. The move took twice the time it should have because the sub-contracted moving crew was not trained and didn't have the proper tools and supplies to complete the job. Because of this, we were charged more than double the original quote. When you call "customer service" you get AI chat bots and automated emails and text messages. We are now in the process of disputing all charges with our credit card company - what a nightmare. Shame on me for not doing my research - please, please, please review their ratings and actually read the reviews. If I had done that, I would have never used them. They have an F rating with the BBB. That tells you all you need to know. read more

As I have said all along, if Bellhop wants the true story they are welcome to call me. This response by Bellhop is just more lies and excuses. We booked our move 1 month in advance and the morning of our move they only had 1 guy show up so they had to reschedule. We had everything ready for the move, so we requested to be rescheduled for the same day. They gave us the 2pm slot but then cancelled again stating the weather was bad. It was a beautiful, sunny day and they asked me to send a picture to prove it. Shocking! After this I completely cancelled and they tried to charge me $200 for cancelling (after they did not honor my signed contract twice). The worst part is that NO ONE from the company has followed up with me. Do not use them for your move! Unprofessional, not organized and unfortunately not honest. Business have numerous profiles on Yelp, want to make sure everyone knows not to hire Bellhop. They took 8 hours to move a 1600 sq ft home. Only 1 bed, a loveseat kitchen table, a peloton and about 30 boxes. No one showed up on time. Numerous things were broken, my husband and I had an active role in loving boxes in and out of the house. They claim they can't locate my reservation which is clearly listed on another one of their Yelp pages. DO NOT HIRE. They say they want to help but they don't. Thank you Bellhops for your great work in putting together great people to handle your business. It matters most to me! The price was right and fair as compared to some other companies I called. I appreciated the fact that the men who arrived were hard working kind people who aimed to please. Ask for the Bellhops Michael and Christian team if you need at least two movers. They are college kids who are out here working hard and trying to make something great of themselves. They are gracious and have wonderful attitudes. Fantastic!  They arrived ready and set to go with my inside moving job. I have lots of solid wood furniture pieces that are quite heavy, so having two strong college boys to help out is totally worth it. WARNING: Don't choose Bellhop! They were polite, but these movers were obviously NOT experienced professionals. They ruined a lot of my furniture and even damaged the walls and stairs of my newly constructed home; I have filed a formal claim. As someone who has moved many times in the past few years for work, this was--without a doubt--the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a moving company. It was horrific. Only two men showed up, but I was charged for three (until I called to complain). I was exceptionally well organized in my packing (the movers commended me on this multiple times), yet they ignored the room labels and simply tossed most of my boxes in my garage. As the day went on, they began dragging heavy items across my new hardwood floor, slamming furniture on the steps (denting them), and smashing items into my walls. In the end, I voiced to them my disappointment. I showed them some (it was a lot) of the damage. They apologized, but said that they didn't know how it happened. They also told me that they would be fired, if I reported them. I wish them the best in life, but they SHOULD BE FIRED. These guys have no business working as movers, when they clearly have no idea what they're doing. Bellhops needs to do a better drop of training their independent contractors. read more

Cons: Unresponsive once they have your money, the night before move we found out we had to rent a U-Haul because they didn't actually have a truck, still haven't been reimbursed for the truck or truck fee and no one on their support side will respond, an hour before the move the lead told me he may not have any help (he was able to find someone.) I contacted Bellhop for a move from Knoxville, TN to Canton, GA. The initial conversation went well, and I promptly received an email quote. We decided to move forward with Bellhop as their reviews were good. Apparently we want to do business with them more than they want to do business with us! I replied to the email.. .no response. I called & left a voice message... no response. I called the office headquarters at about 8:30 AM on Wednesday 12/01 in order to book the move... but the gentlemen I spoke with was unable to help as he was part of the "local" team only. He advised that the "long-distance" team doesn't come to work until 9:00 AM (although the website indicates 8:00 AM weekdays). He didn't offer to take my number & have someone contact me, but rather, told me to call back, as the long-distance team SHOULD be in the office by 9:00. I did call back - but only to escalate my issue. The same gentleman answered the phone. I asked for the company owner and was advised that the company owner does not talk on the phone, does not text, and will not answer emails. I was offered NO escalation path, and no resolution to my issue. The gentleman did tell me that since it was 8:58 he go out of process & see if he could reach someone on the long-distance team. By this time, I needed to get on a business call, and was out of time.... after all... I had already wasted almost 1/2 of an hour just trying to do business with this company. This begs the question - if they're this difficult to do business with BEFORE contract to do business with them, how much worse does it get once they have your money or your contract????? read more

The absolute worst experience ever. Bellhop cancelled the day of my move. They were supposed to arrive at 8a. I received a call at 8:30a saying their truck broke down and they wouldn't be able to reschedule until 7 days later. Never mind the MANY arrangements made to have the move on the day scheduled (i.e. babysitter, dog sitter, time off work, etc.). They told me I could call around and try to find a truck...like seriously- how about YOU call and find a truck as the moving company. We're still in shock this happened. And we're even more shocked the only thing Bellhop offered was an apology. If I cancelled the move with a less than 24-hour notice (let alone 30 minutes after the supposed arrival time) I would've been charged. Totally and completely unacceptable. read more

The worst experience we have ever encountered with any business ever! We had movers confirmed with Bellhop. As of last Wednesday, we received an email with the names of our "team." Today, at 1:00 on a Sunday, 24 hrs before our movers were scheduled to come, we received an email saying they had to cancel our reservation and would we be able to change it to Thursday! Of course we can't...we have a POD scheduled to be dropped off tomorrow and 3 of us took the day off from work to help with the move. At 1:00 on a Sunday, the day before our move, how were we supposed to find someone else. Flash forward to spending the rest of the afternoon and evening trying to find movers. After several hours of persistence we found someone. Tonight at 8pm, I received a text from the "Team Lead", who was the same name they had given me earlier in the week, touching base about our move tomorrow!!! I informed him that they had cancelled it. I emailed customer service explaining the text I got. They told me that they found substitutes! No they did not! This was the same name I was given on Wed. And....if it was a substitute, when were they going to tell me?! In response to Customer Service's response: We booked 6 days ahead of move and got a confirmation prior to move. And the Lead Team Member (whose name was given to us 5 days prior) contacted us to confirm move for the next day, after Bellhop called us to cancel. read more

Jonathan and Evan were just perfect. They arrived a few minutes early which worked well for us. We hired them to rearrange furniture in a 3 story home. They were efficient and delicate with all the furniture. They even knew how to take the couches and sectionals apart. We didn't even know they came apart. They were both very polite and accommodating. We will most definitely use them again. Highly recommend them! read more

The movers were great, but... We were told booking the minimum no. of hours the move should take was ideal as any overages would be billed at a reasonable rate, in 15 minute increments. The company min. was 2 hrs.; we booked 3 movers and 1 driver for 3 hrs. This decision was based on all our pre-packing and pre-moving. We were confident we could get it done in 4 hrs max; following the guidance of and in agreement with Bellhops. 1.5 hours into the move, we are told 3 hours would be the maximum time we would have the movers. Reason: one mover had a hard stop. (why couldn't we go forward with the rest?, but no) We were told to prioritize what needed to be moved. EVERYTHING needed to be moved, it was our HOME. They may have worked differently had we known of the hard stop. We certainly would have used a different moving company. Of course we finished our move, but changing movers mid-stream cost an additional $460, not to mention the frustration. Bellhops offered a "so sorry" and a 15% discount, which left me less than satisfied. I pushed for an additional 15% off, which I still find unsatisfying. They should have at least made me financially whole. This line of work finds people in their most vulnerable state... between homes, with all your possessions out; just out in the open. How insensitive and unprofessional of Bellhops to not have a backup plan for people who have placed their trust and worldly possessions into their hands. I WILL NEVER use this company again. However, for the record, the movers themselves were EXCELLENT, timely, polite and hard-working. They are the reason I've given so many stars... It's the company's operating model I find problematic. read more

This was the worst company I have ever experienced. They stole lots of furniture and various items from me. They rushed me through the entire process and damaged my furniture. If I could leave this company with out any stars I definitely would. This whole ordeal started when my partner and I scheduled a move for Sunday February 28, 2021. I called and spoke with a representative on Friday February 26, 2021 and was told my charge was going to be $16 for a deposit and $338 for the final service. Next thing I get a call from my back saying there was a hold placed on my account for over $900. She also told me if I didn't receive an email by 8pm that night it would be safe to assume the move was good to go. I know it was late notice and we talked about the non guarantee but she also told me about that email and I never got one. Instead I got a confirmation from the mover through text. Then they told me the next day, Saturday that they had to reschedule because they didn't have a truck so they had to reschedule. I agreed to that agree about two hours are going back and forth with them. I was then told it would be $21 deposit and $200 total. I checked my bank and they held another $400 from me instead while the other money was still on hold. Then after hours of conversation I find out they canceled it without my permission and said there were no movers a available. This company abuses your time and your money. I would highly suggest searching elsewhere for service. Oh and the guy that help me move in the end was one of the movers who they said wasn't available. He had a truck too. read more

I hired Bellhops to move items that were already boxed into a portable storage container. Half of my garage was stacked about 6 feet high with boxes to be moved into the container. I was able to schedule them for the next weekend. Three guys showed up to my house at the scheduled time. I pointed out a few boxes that had fragile items and needed to be put on top. After that, I left them alone. 45 minutes later, they were done. The guys were nice and efficient. I will be using them again when we move the rest of our items after selling our house. read more

Our real estate agent recommended Bellhops when my family was moving to a new home. I was thoroughly impressed by the customer service, communication, and organization of this company. From having an easy-to-use website to their follow-up after our move, Bellhops hit every mark along the way! Prior to our move we received a phone call from the team "captain" to introduce himself and go over the details, I also received an email with a photo of our a team and a brief bio of each member so I knew who we would be working with. Both of movers were on time, super polite, and VERY hard working! They even offered to take a few extra boxes in their own cars if we needed more space. I only wish this company was around when I was in college...I would have loved to work here! read more

The movers were awesome and moved constantly and carefully through the move. They were also very pleasant to deal with! However, customer service could do a much better job in fully explaining the charges involved when scheduling over the phone and not rely on email alone to explain these charges as it was very confusing that I was quoted one amount over the phone and billed another later. I've definitely paid much less with other companies. Please note that the truck is a completely separate price from what you might be quoted over the phone. Not to mention that the truck was half the size than I was expecting. The customer service reps that I dealt with to help resolve the issue were kind to remedy the situation as best they could. However, management did not fully resolve the issue as expected to have my final bill reflect what I was quoted over the phone, and he/she didn't even speak directly to me but instead spoke through one of their reps. So overall the move went well, customer service was kind but could do better and management was not great at remedying the situation. read more

Bellhops is the best! We used them last week and couldn't have been happier. Each employee is a college student working their way through school, and a couple of days before your move, Bellhops will send you a profile and photo of the movers. They even tell you their college major! (We hired two, but you can hire more if you like.) When they arrive they'll do a quick walk-thru of your house to get any special instructions. Then, right in front of you, they clock in using an app on their phone. When they're done, they clock out using the same app, and you get your bill emailed to you right away. Our Bellhops, Reid Peterson and Kesean Henderson, were the best! So hardworking and careful and just really nice people who took great care with our move. (You should request them!) We paid $40 per hour, per mover and an additional $23 for insurance. I can't begin to tell you how pleased we were. Google this company and read about it in Wikipedia. It's a great story. read more

I found Bellhops online and was pleasantly surprised. I had a Uhaul 15' truck that was unloaded in about 15 minutes thanks to the two Bellhops. We were supposed to get started at 8:45pm, and when I arrived at 8:40, both were already present and eager to get started. They handled my cargo with care and maneuvered my furniture with skill and expertise. I have recommended this service to all of my friends and would gladly use them again for any future moves. read more

We had Myles and Julian from Bellhops move our stuff of a fully furnished two-bedroom apartment into pods, all within less than two hours! The boys were on-time, so nice & polite, caring about the furniture, and super-fast! They needed someone to direct them through arranging the stuff inside the pods, but we were very pleased and satisfied with their service.
