This is a new location, JR the manager- great guy, honest, knows how to route customers to technicians. Brakes done last week with help of JR, Num, Jack M , Sean ( Shawn)and got a good value and all MB parts lower than my previous techs nearby. This week, getting new ac compressor and flush/charge- big $$$ but JR hooked me up with best rates on parts and labor to help keep the total bill down. Sean and JR and another tech would do this work - several good techs here would be diving into this as getting into an engine compartment of a twin turbo S 550 is not easy. 3 hours! They did a great job in several hours and my air-conditioning is cold, brakes new- drives beautifully!!!! What a great job. Thanks Sean again. Right from the the first call to them the owner, Ryan was very present, personable and accommodating. I didn't need an appointment and he assured me he could help and penciled me in. The location is very convent and very clean and welcoming. Not to mention the family dogs running around! I had a great experience. Friendly place and staff. Everything was very well explained to me and I even got to speak to the mechanics as well as Ryan. Everything was completed in the same day and nothing felt upsold. I felt very confident I got great service and it is clear this shop has high standards. I would recommend this shop to everyone. I now have a new mechanic I trust!

Huge and costly mistake taking my car to United Auto in Flowery Branch. Shame on me for trying to…read moresupport a local business that doesn't deserve it, in my opinion. Summary: I understand that auto shops need to mark up parts (on top of wholesale prices) to make a profit. The owner of the United Auto Shop said that 'they mark up parts by 35% over their cost'. After two verbal requests, I finally got (after I paid the invoice) the part numbers for the parts (supposedly) replaced. I looked up the retail prices and saw that they charged me over 2X retail price for identical, readily available parts ($2,800 for parts that I could buy at retail for $1,300). When I discovered this, I called to speak with the owner (Ryan). He said that he would not rebate me 'one red cent', which indicates to me that he's perfectly fine with gouging his customers well above his stated policy. I would think such (in my opinion, egregious) pricing practices were required to be disclosed to consumers and protected under Consumer Protection Regulations. BTW, they didn't complete the work correctly, so I will need to take the car to another shop to get it done right. Details: My car was leaking hydraulic fluid in the retractable roof area and into the vehicle. I had viewed a YouTube video showing the exact same symptoms on the same make / model of car but thought it better to take it to an auto shop to have it fixed instead of doing it myself. Mistake number one was taking my car to United Auto. When describing the issue to the shop manager, he said that he had experience with such problems and knew how to fix them. The manager called me with a rough estimate (not a quote, let alone a written quote) before they even diagnosed the issue, 'for about $5,000' if all of the entire cylinder systems needed to be replaced, which he said he doubted would be necessary. Still no quote. Another mistake on my part. Then he said something that should have been the biggest red flag. He offered to buy my car from me (presumably at a substantial discount) before the work was started. Based on my forty years of business experience, I would say that ethical businesspeople don't do that. But I said no thanks, and let it pass. Another mistake of mine - I should know better. I provided the YouTube video that showed the exact same issue for minimal cost and effort. The representative said that he reviewed the video thanked me and said that he shared it with the mechanic. After doing their work (which is still not complete), which took much longer than they estimated, they charged me over $5,600. Of course, their website states that they can levy a lien on your car if you don't pay in full. So, I did pay, given my experience with them up to this point, and then called the owner to discuss their, in my opinion, egregious charges for the parts (setting aside the extensive time charged me for the work). I requested a reasonable rebate just to adjust the parts pricing from over 2X retail versus what he said was only 35% over wholesale. His response: 'Not one red cent rebate'. I will never make the mistake again and allow United Auto to get near one of my vehicles ever again.

I recently took my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for HID's/LED's.The man behind the desk told me to definintly go with LED's as they will cost you far less then HID's. I wasn't on board right away but he shot out prices faster then my mind could process all the information on price, style, dependability.etc. I was in a brain fog after he was done selling me the island in the Caribbean. I have had HID's on most of my vehicle's on a bulb or ballast would go out here and there but the cost wasn't real high. These were fairly good HID's I had used before and installed myself for under $350 to $400 dollars. We talked about the LED's and he told me these were the ones they put on Mercedes Benz and BMW's, etc. I am by far not a rich man and it all started to sound like it was getting expensive, so I asked him for an estimate on everything installed. He advised me it would take about 1 hour which was not problem,I would wait for it.Now in that line of business your estimate has to be kinda right on when your spending that kind of money, and they add for extra wire.etc. Well let me start off by saying the estimate was for over $600.00 for high/low and fog lights. All plug and play he stressed which made it all the more better. After my head stopped spinning , I said my sons Jeep was here not to long ago and got HID's and they were nowhere near that. Then I started getting the industry has gone in the LED's more then any others and this was the best choice. Reluctantly I let him sell me on them and paid over $600.00 for them. Well the day had come for the install and after telling them NOT to call the number they had, I provided a new number and yet they called the old number to let me know they were in. Not happy about that number, so the day of install I was there bright and early and the Jeep started getting worked on. After the "3rd hour" they said he'd been done in 5 minutes he's setting them to the correct height. They come about about 20 minutes later and tell me that the lights are flickering a tiny bit and they were trying to fix them even after installing the anti-flicker component. It was getting a bit ridiculous at this point. After telling me about how they were the top of the line and got installed in this and that car they couldn't figure out the easy plug and play system they sold me on. After trying different things I believe that a component that went to the HID kit fixed the problem. Hallelujah!! After 4 and 1/2 hours with the easy plug and play system I paid the balance and was about to go on my way when the guy at the desk says to me, "try them out for a week or so on if there is any problem bring it back and we'll fix it, Oh also when you bring it in after a week he thought that the component that ultimately fixed the problem was about $30 bucks or so". Holy crap are you kidding me, the balls of this guy even to dare bring up more money I would owe him was Ludicrous and down right disgusting and rude. After you told me an hour for the install, instead took 4 1/2 hours and charged me over $600 dollars which I find is a bit crazy your going to come out with I owe you more because the fantastic plug and play system that you put in all the time didn't work and you had to add a piece, you want to charge me for it. WW!! To say it was a bad experience is an understatement. This place is all about the money and how much they can charge. I just got my windows tinted and was bsing with the guy on the great deal I got from the guy I used for 12 years on every car or truck I have owned he started telling me it was cheap tint and his guy sometimes charges $1000 dollars a window. I ended the conversation real quick. It was a revolving door of people coming in for estimates and leaving. Not a good sign when that happens. So ending this review I would NOT recommend this place to anyone! I wrote this review because this is what people need to see!
