Their range is superb... clean and live booth video of your target. Makes dialing in, long range, for those of us with terrible eyesight, really convenient. Go twice a month and it's worth signing up for a membership, which I intend on doing later this week. I didn't have time to go through their entire storefront but it's also quite impressive with, what looks to be, everything for the beginner to advanced. I'm going back this weekend just to browse, learn more about their training services and chat with their experienced staff!

They have a guy there that also is NRA and conceal and carry licensed that gives lessons. You can shoot pistols or shotguns (separate area) and on the other side they have skeet shooting. The range is outdoors so dress warm for the winter. I think they are only open on Saturday and Sunday until April, but double check. It is a totally safety conscience range and they have time limits when the range is hot (everyone firing) green light, or red light, everyone guns down and step away while targets are being changed out. They sell targets if you forget yours and also chamber locks that you put in during the red light target change time. Love this place and they are all about the Second Amendment!

As you drive onto the property it has the feel of a camp ground but you can see houses lined along the sides of the property. There is a nice pond on the property, 2 outhouses, and a main cabin like lodge. When you enter the lodge you find yourself being transported back many years ago to a boys club type atmosphere. The place was packed with people waiting around. I through they were all waiting for a lane to open up but I soon realized that they were just hanging out, socializing and playing card games on old wooden tables and benches. Once you purchase a round of trapshooting, head out and get your gear ready as your name is called rather quickly. Walk over to the lane you are assigned to and once all 5 people are ready then the first person yells "pull" and the automated machine throws a clay pigeon out. Go down the line and repeat 5 times. Then each person rotates to the next station/different position. Each person will get to shoot at 25 clay pigeons. I had a great time and can't wait to come back.

The service here is outstanding... perhaps the best out there as they don't come across as I know everything and your just a newbe. The place can be a bit hard to find as it's in this very tiny strip mall and you figure a gun range has to be somewhat big to accommodate the ranges. Right? Well, here the entire store and range is underground, so the entrance is literally nothing but a door which leads directly to a set of steps going down. The store and range certainly show their age and have been well used. But, from a business perspective this apparently keeps the overhead low as I find the prices here very reasonable! As for the range, the check in process here is perhaps the easiest of all ranges in the area. These guys are very accommodating and I like that fact that they encourage openly on bringing your kids along. The range itself is cramped and very loud. Okay, yea I know we are shooting off guns here and things just get loud, but here, the sounds really reverberate and I can really feel the shock wave at times when a .357 or higher is being used. I don't get this feeling at other ranges. The range can also get a little smokey at times. Despite these conditions, I really do like coming here as I get the feeling of being welcomed and I just feel very comfortable at these ranges. Some of my tightest patterns have been shot here and I think it has to do that I'm very relaxed when coming to this range. If you can, it seems that during the week days, just at opening time, the ranges is generally not as packed and I find it a great time to come.

I was very excited pressed with the detail of the lesson and how the instructor, Steven, was able to convey all of the information necessary in such a clear and kind way. He is a wealth of knowledge and made everyone feel comfortable. He loves what he does and he is very good at it. We were able to either rent a gun or bring your own for this course. It is very reasonable in price as well as the cost of ammunition. Our range time was ample and again, carefully, slowly and without pressure taught to all participants. There was no rush on guided target practice. There were five Range officers within arms distance offering advice and of course vigilant on safety. No one was uncomfortable. Michael was in instrumental on improving our gun-hand position, stance. His expertise really improved my feel and my results! Thank you Red Dot Training Academy! I cannot wait for the second class!
