We recently expanded a deck, added a patio cover, and are putting a hot tub underneath this second floor deck. There was a concrete patio below the existing deck and we wanted to match that, w/ reinforcement for a hot tub. We got a couple bids for the job. Danny was the estimator that came out for Forest and he seemed knowledgeable and was punctual and professional. It was not the cheapest bid ($6600 for a 13'X16' 4" concrete patio w/ hot tub reinforcement), but the company is much more well established than a couple others we consulted so I put more trust in their work. Rigo is the guy we needed to work with on scheduling etc. for concrete work. This was a little rocky at first, but that had a lot to do with us needing to postpone the start till our deck was done, but then also work around a vacation we'd be taking, and make sure the concrete had enough time to cure before our hot tub is dropped. Despite a slight language barrier, we worked it out and even managed to get it done ahead of when we originally scheduled it. Punctuality is impressive with these guys. For 3 days they were waiting outside our house to start at 7:30am precisely. They had to remove a portion of fence and work around some foliage for access. They ended up encountering an unexpected drainage tube of some kind while digging and made sure to create an access point for us if it's ever needed in the future. The concrete looks great and matches our old patio so well, it's hard to tell they weren't poured together. Danny and I (and later Rigo) discussed treating the old concrete to help the matching. At the end of the work they did a great job of cleaning up the area and returning everything to normal. Rigo also helped us by showing us how to remove the fence portion for when our hot tub is delivered and left the top cap off because he said we'd really struggle to get it off if they put it back. I'm happy with the work, communication, and cleanup and trust if there are any problems I will be able to get them resolved. If we have further landscape needs in the future I will def be calling Forest for a bid. read more

We are currently working on a greenhouse project in our backyard and needed gas, electric, and water installed. It required multiple subcontractors to complete the job, but Forest Landscape made sure everything went smoothly and that the project was kept on track. The guys who came to do the excavation for the trench did an amazing job and we were so impressed and grateful that they even worked through all the rain and cold weather. It was so muddy yet they still managed to get the job done. When it was time for inspections, they were all approved which is definitely a positive thing. It reassured us that we made the right decision to go with this company. Not only are they professional, but at the end of each day, they took the time to clean up and make sure they didn't leave a huge mess. Forest Landscape just completed a total backyard remodel for me. I really enjoyed working with them. In particular, I liked that they do everything! They can do concrete and landscape work. My yard project consisted of a 700 s.f. broom-finish concrete patio, quarter-minus stairs along the side of the house, extensive drainage along the patio and down around the side of the yard, laying new sod, and a river rock border around the yard and patio. I worked with Jose to create the project. He was very easy and enjoyable to work with. Extremely personable and responsive. 3 stars because the guy was polite and prompt when he showed up and didn't make me stand outside in the freezing cold while he took measurements during the bid. 2 stars however for responsiveness (why would it take more than 24 hours and require an email to get a bid to a customer?), and for not addressing my request twice to have a secondary bid for just having the fence posts set so that we could do the rest of the install ourselves. He didn't seem to understand why we might want just the posts set and ultimately refused to provide a bid for that. Ultimately we didn't have the confidence in the higher price they estimated to do it compared to 75% of the other bids that came in. read more

Fantastic job! Jose came out in late 2014 to give an estimate, the crew started in mid-Jan and took about 4 weeks to finish. The project consisted of (2) 40' long by 4' high dry stacked retaining walls, 40 rock steps with borders and 15 trees. The entire crew did a great job but I have to give a special thank you to Juan, he's a true craftsman and was meticulous (but not long) about how each and every stone/rock was put into place to support the walls and steps. The crew showed up every morning promptly at 8:00am and worked until they ran out of daylight. I should also mention the access to the project prevented heavy machinery therefore they had to manually haul several tons of rock, gravel and trees down the hill. Thanks again guys! read more

I am sorry to give this business only one star. I was encouraged by the reviews and was looking forward to working with Forest Landscape on my concrete removal and landscape work. Unfortunately, the estimator never showed up despite having confirmed our appt. by email. I had taken time off from work to meet with the estimator and ended up going in even later than anticipated when I was assured he "was stuck in traffic and would be there in 10 minutes."
