My first visit here. I had never heard about it but I sure have heard of the citrus kitchen next door. An old student of mine says he works here now and I thought, "Let's do this!" Definitely a place for men and men's haircut. The space is nice. I'm talking pretty much man cave status but of course G rated. Everything was appropriately in place. I was greeted when I walked in so that was cool. Seems like they keep the place pretty clean which is what I expect out of a place that is nice. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to use the restroom. Anyway, my barber's name is Robert and he's been cutting my hair for the past 6 months. This isn't a typical haircut. He updates me with his life and I, with mine. It's great to know he's doing well in his path and I love to hear about my past students as they pursue their own aspirations. Anyway, the cut is always good. He gives great suggestions. Robert is down to earth and he has his expertise in this field. Overall, I don't like that this place is cash only (hence, the 4*). But, that's fine. They have an ATM in the store and a Vons nearby. It's worth the price. read more

This place needs organization and staff. They took me and my son for a same appointment and the barbers seemed rushed. I showed my sons barber- Jerry- the cut my son wanted which was basically taper around sides to blend in with the top but he was so rushed that he basically butchered his head and practically gave him a Mohawk. My son has been wearing hats since then. The lady that did my hair kept answering phone calls and shaving too much of my hair around the sides and back. You get what you pay for- the only reason I went there was because my usual spot was busy! I will not go back and don't recommend it to anyone. I'm not sure on the barbers name but it was last Wednesday before thanksgiving and it was you, another gentleman wearing cowboy boots, and the guy that cut my sons hair - he was wearing black glasses. This is more of a review for Marcos, who is a terrific barber -- and worth coming here for! I've looked for good barbers after moving to Rancho, going from place to place -- and found him after some time. His ability is absolutely great, and the process is always smooth (he makes sure your cut is excellent, but he's also pretty quick at it too, which is great!). However, when I find one I like to go to, I like to spread the word. Classy, yet modern with a staff of barbers to match; each with a different characteristic & style & great to have conversations with. Cutting hair is spot on but I particularly like getting shaved here. Not many shops do that now, so it's great to have one that does. Needed a haircut for a weekend event. Im usually up and down on Haven and saw those long promo flags outside the corner plaza of Haven and Lemon. Decided to check it out. Circled the plaza to find them... They are on the very corner next to Citrus Kitchen. This place just recently opened up. Very nice and clean. Fixed up real nice. They only had one guy working at the time but they told me that they will be having some more guys soon. They were handing out flyers with $5 off. Great and friendly service. The staff was courteous. The owner was also there in the front desk. Definitely get that one on one service. I highly recommend this place. read more

Went in for a beard line up. I had just asked the barber if he could line it up with a razor. He did line up my beard and I thought it was a decent job. I never asked him to trim it or anything else. He lined up my beard and my back. No haircut, shaving or anything else. Somehow someway my total for this 15 minute line up was 37 dollars. I have been to this place before and paid 12 dollars ( line up cost) plenty of times. This time around the barber charged me 25 (beard trim cost) and 12 ( line up ). When I asked him how did he come up to that total he said it's because he used hot towel to line up my beard with the razor. Total rip. I didn't want to argue with the guy so I just paid and went my way. But I would never recommend this place and neither will I ever go back. read more

She saw my lil purse and we started talking off that while she cleaned up her previous clients hair. I came here to actually write a good review but that did a complete 180 today (Xmas eve). I've been here many times and it was becoming my "go to" because I hate going to different places all the time. The place that I had been going to decided to raise their prices so I ended up here last minute. They did a nice job last time so I thought I'd give it another shot. My haircut is pretty simple so I thought they would be able to handle it. First off it's cash only so that was kind of a turn off already... it was a pain trying to get cash too. When I sat in the chair I told the guy "size 5 mid fade on the sides" every other barber knew exactly what I wanted, except here. He said "for sure bro" I thought I had explained my cut well but considering how my hair looked it was easy to tell what I was aiming for. I did forget to tell him not to cut off my sideburns but before I could tell him he had one clean off already and just told me "my bad" but then I looked at myself and he had been cutting my sides with a ZERO!!!! WTF!!! I told him I wanted a 5 and he immediately tried blaming it on me saying I wasn't clear enough -- I was clear on what I wanted. Well now my hair is completely butchered and he just says "my bad, I'll do it for $20 not $25" wow! What a drop! I let him do his thing and when we were done I handed him a 20 and was walking out and he looked at me like "where's my tip?!" Dude is out of his mind if he thinks he's getting a tip after that. As I'm sitting there I'm thinking back to the first time I was here, same barber did the same thing to another as I was next up. I didn't think too much about because if he messes up I can just buzz it. BOY WAS I WRONG about that. I have ruined hair that will take months to grow back. I have to take pictures with this mess. After moving to Rancho Cucamonga from the SGV I tried many places and finally found a great barbershop. I personally get an appointment with Marcos every two weeks. He is always very polite, professional and gives me a great cut. I've have gotten a couple people at work ask where I get my haircut at. My 7 year old son loves going to Jackie and will not cut his hair with with anyone else. Jackie always leaves him with a tight fade and a fresh lineup. Jackie always says hi and engages in conversation with me as we wait for our time. My wife also likes how nice and loving Jackie is with our son. Highly recommend getting your haircuts here. Did you know that Barbers have MORE training than those salon people who do so many other things besides hair. Wouldn't you want a SPECIALIST who does JUST hair? For the SAME cost? I would. My husband has also switched from Supercuts to All pro. In fact they do Women's hair too and I am going to try them. My son had found Marco who is so nice. That evening I was stuck in traffic and had to go home pick up my son then make it to the 530pm appt we had gotten at a short notice. I called to ask if we can still come and Marco was like "yes, we close at 6pm but I will wait for him". We finally made it and got in at 610, and yes they took him in. What kind of hair place does this? Even 40 minutes into the haircut he was still working on the hair. I can tell my son loves the extra care he gets here. The pricing is VERY reasonable. $20/ for the haircut which by the way is what you end up at Supercuts. I can tell Marco is passionate about his job and gives his best. Thank you Marcos. Whoever goes to Supercuts think about it. You go to a nail salon for nails, wouldn't you go to a Barber for hair? They don't even sell products like Supercuts. read more

Finally got a great haircut. Manny was superb ! These guys do an immaculate job. They use different machines to produce the right fade or design you want. Free water or beer during your session. Very friendly staff and have years of experience. Puts Super Cuts to shame. This is it, I'll be coming here forever now. Only sad part is they accept cash only, but there is an ATM inside the shop.
